   Extraordinary food and service. We were greeted and seated on time. The omakase was fresh, delicious and we had an extraordinary evening of food and drink. The chef was friendly and respectful and listened to what we preferred. Just wonderful - we plan to return.

   This place is a real gem! The food is incredible. Omakase the best! Tasting menu outstanding. Everything was highest quality. Each morsel was inventive and thoughtfully prepared. The staff is so friendly and engaging. The chefs are highly trained masters of their craft. Don’t skip the sake pairings. What an amazing experience! Thank you all so much! Sam is awesome. We’ll be back again and again.

   Excellent Omakase experience. Every mouthful was a delight and the sake experience changed my opinion on sake. The eel with chocolate and banana cream was a revelation. Great camaraderie between the chefs and we enjoyed the banter. Would highly recommend.

   Sushi chefs and server were all nice and our previous omakase experience here 1.5 yrs ago was solid. However, today we ordered fatty and medium fatty tuna as well as sea urchin and both fatty tunas had hard to chew sinewy parts in it, while the uni was slightly bitter, not the lightly sweet, fresh, briny taste we expected. Unfortunately our favorite dish ended up being the blue crab maki. With the premium prices for top shelf o-toro/uni, we are overall disappointed with our second time here and hope our next time here will be better.

   My friend and I had an amazing time for dinner at this jewel of a sushi place in Ravenswood. The team led by the head chef and his partner are delightful and super fun. The entire place is cheerful, very customer centric and cute. But the food is the star of the show. The food is awesome. Recommend any of the three options - the regular menu, the Chef’s tasting menu and The Experience! I’ve now had the Tasting Menu twice as well as the Experience and i highly recommend both. The Experience is exquisite food. N

    Great sushi spot, interesting dishes that are not regular sushi combos, and good fresh cuts of fish. The staff of great and sushi chefs are really nice!

    Do the omakase and sake! Good price/value, amazing quality of ingredients, and a great experience provided by the chef and server. Chef Oni and server Sam were so wonderful during a 30th Birthday celebration dinner here.

    Do the Omakase, you will be glad you did. Our second night in Chicago included an experience that combined a charismatic chef and staff, making new friends from both sides of the sushi bar, and sushi artistry like I have never seen before. Each of the 15 courses spoke on their own, but together they made a beautiful chorus.

    The table tasting menu is outstanding value. I love the variety from appetizers to sashimi and nigiri/rolls, especially quality of ingredient used (smoked duck, uni, chutoro).

    I almost don’t want to write this experience because I feel like I’m about to reveal perhaps one of chicagos best keep sushi secrets, but this was by far one of the most thoughtfully curated meals I’ve had in a long time. This place hit the spot on so many levels, I can’t wait to go back for more.

    I have been to Japan many times and had numerous omakase dinners there and elsewhere in the world. Q sushi’s omakase was wonderful and with fresh and new twist that make it an intriguing omakase experience.

    Amazing omakase experience. One of the best in Chicago hands down! Service was amazing, chefs were so kind and entertaining and the sushi was EXCELLENT! My new go-to for delicious sushi. The creativity for combining flavors was unmatched at Q Sushi Bar!

    The prix fixe table menu doesn’t disappoint at all. This is where a lesser restaurant might sacrifice quality but not at Q where the progression from apps to sashimi/nigiri and then rolls was excellent and included items such as uni shooter, madai and toro nigiri, and tuna in/out roll. I’ve had their omakase twice and the prix fixe menu is one of the best deals out there.

    FANTASTIC dining experience. The sushi was the best I have ever had - super flavorful and smooth. The presentation was incredibly detailed and the chef was very engaged with us. He provided a nice clear description of the fish flavors. I will definitely go back and recommend highly to all of my friends.
