Purple Cafe and Wine Bar - Woodinville
We feature an expansive menu ranging from artisan cheeses, starters, soups, salads, sandwiches and pizzas to pasta and seafood. We take a great deal of pride in utilizing the freshest, local ingredients that change with the seasons.
On the wine side of things our wine list features over 80 glass and 600 bottle selections. Over the years our wine program has been recognized with various accolades that include an "Award of Ultimate Distinction" from Wine Enthusiast Magazine and being named "Best Wine Bar" by Evening Magazine's Best of Western Washington Viewers Poll.
Food was excellent, service as well, especially on a busy night. Meatloaf is the best entree on the menu! Delicious
We had the wine country experience. Food was excellent. Wine pairing was great. Wine came to early for our first 2 courses. They were almost finshed by the time the food arrived. Desert came next. Was delicious. We were half way finished with them when our wine arrived.
A wonderful meal and Amber provided great service as always! We love the crab cakes, the dates, and the special salad for the day with salmon was terrific.
Good food, wine and service. 20% taxed service charge is automatically included on bill.
The food, and the service, were both excellent.
However, the noise level inside the restaurant is excessive. Not sure if it was too many parties that had been out wine tasting all day, but it's impossible to carry on a pleasant conversation in the restaurant.
So if you're planning on being out and being loud - this might be your place. But if you had a quiet evening with conversation planned, you should look elsewhere.
The French dip has been changed - it used to be phenomenal with a toasty crusty roll and better flavor in the sandwich but now is just average with a squishy bun and horseradish sauce taking the place of the formerly more flavorful toppings - we used to rave about it but now we will not recommend it
Our server Alana (?) was exceptional! Yummy food, fun place!
We were so mad when the bill came with a note about the addition of the 20% charge and that none of it was going to the employees that I’m not certain we will ever go back. If the company needs to charge more to cover their costs, they should add it to the price of the food and not take it away from their wait and kitchen staff.
This location has always been one of my favorite restaurants. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The food is awesome and they have a variety of wines that are great. Can't say enough good things about Purple!!
First time getting the bacon wrapped meatloaf. It was awesome!
Great food, service and atmosphere.
Okay breakfast: bacon wasn't crispy enough, French toast was a bit too far from what it should be, the menu needs 1 or 2 more sugary breakfast options. Good coffee though, very good veggie scramble, kids' menu and coloring were thoughtful, service was speedy. I would return but probably for lunch instead.
Reserved well in advance and, though we did not request it, we were seated at a 6-top upstairs. That is the best seat in the house, IMO. Great service, great food, incredible wine list and an incredibly energetic (but not too noisy) atmosphere. Each of us had something different (including meatloaf, scallops, chicken Marsala and chop salad - on top of several appetizers, dessert and coffee) and everyone was happy. We'll be back soon.
Great environment, birthday dinner with a little surprise by the restaurant. Thank you, we left pleased and will return
I come often to Purple. The food is always good and the service is also very reliable. It tends to be loud. My only complaint is if I make a reservation I expect to have a good table and not one of more undesirable ones!
Wonderful and attentive waitress. Great ambiance. Very heavy chairs.
The halibut entrée was good not great. Roasted Brussels Sprouts appetizer was great. Strawberry shortcake was poor and quite tasteless. Wines great.
We received the wrong check and easily could have paid for someone elses's dinner!
Our waitress was awesome. Very helpful , attentive without being disruptive.
We had an amazing server, funny, professional, and patient. It was a great ladies lunch. Food is always amazing!!
Always excellent food and service at Purple! Great place to take out-of-town guests to.
The service and food continue to be reliably great. I can count on a good experience.
Only negative was the wait for our table, 6:30 reservation and we were seated closer to 7:00. The food made up for the wait but not a great first impression for out of town guests.
We had made a reservation for 7p and they were able to get us in about 45 min early, it was really great! The inside was kinda noisy but the food was good and the service was too! We had a great time!
Food and service was great! Parking not so much but I got lucky with a spot in front of the restaurant. Strangely even though we had reservations when our group was seated just after 3:30pm we were told they "need the table at 5:00". Kind of a buzz kill really, like saying "you're only welcome here for a little while".
Great service & food in a lovely location. A little pricey with a mandatory 20% gratuity that seemed out of place in Woodinville.
We ordered risotto and received it “lukewarm” our server Armando immediately took it back to kitchen and we received it hot! Great server! And Alana at the bar was AMAZING!
This was a convenient location to the concert we were going to at a nearby winery. Our server was helpful and knowledgeable with her wine suggestions. While my risotto was delicious and cooked satisfactory, my partner's white fish came out overcooked and dry, it was immediately rectified by our server with a new order. I felt the bill was on the higher side.
The food and drinks for happy hour were such a great deal and worth every penny. We also were there on Fried Chicken night...I highly reccomend that dish. It was so good!
We have been to both Purple Cafe locations, Bellevue and Woodinville and have always had great experiences. Last night was not the case. The food was great and everyone was nice but this was a reservation for our anniversary. I placed a reservation assuming we would be placed in a great location. We were sat by the back near the bathroom which gave us the bartender as our server. There were multiple tables outside and near the main window area. We waited a while each time we placed an order, drinks and apps, and waited over an hour total from when we arrived to receiving our dinner. The food was great but the overall experience was very disappointing. Being in such a great location and often being very busy I was excited to come on a less busy night and get a great experience for our anniversary and it was really disappointing!
Great food and value.
Love Purple’s menu! The staff was so friendly and helpful with wine suggestions. The beef bolognese and spicy meat ball appetizers was delicious!! It was my 3rd visit to Purple this month, I just love it!
Amazing place! Consistently good food and wine. A perfect place to take out of town guests!!
Always enjoyed dining in at Purple Cafe and Wine Bar. Jessica Scannel was very kind enough to accomodate my party of 10 celebrated my friend Birthday. The server, Morgan was oustanding and very tentative and patiently provided us an excellent service. We had an awesome experience as always.
The bacon in my avocado toast was underdone but everything else was fabulous
The extra ser-charge is ridiculous. I think you should just include it in the total of the meal. It makes a customer want to tip less.
Our tab came to $340 plus for 4 people- I believe my friend paid the bill with not much thought- I believe we got the wrong bill. I have gone back to the web site n looked up the pricing- our tab should have been in the $225-250 range- I guess I should have looked over the bill but one of those situations were the friend grab the bill n paid. Food was lovely- service was solid.
Pretty much ignored by the waiter. Food good. Loud. Should have been better overall for a place that includes service charge.
Took a number of relatives from out of town to brunch on Saturday and had a lovely time. We enjoyed a mimosa and everyone loved their choice - which ranged from breakfast fare to lunch choices. Only negative was we had little bit of a wait between getting our drinks and being able to order our food...only because we had time constraints due to flights that we had to catch. Otherwise it was great and would always recommend Purple for brunch, lunch or dinner!
Fantastic as always!!
