   Love ambiance but chicken Marsala really lacked flavor. Needs salt and maybe more Marsala wine—something. Mashed potatoes would be more appealing if were a little chunky. They were sort of soupy, so didn’t seem like fresh made mashed potatoes. Would love to see this restaurant thrive. But that dish really needs improving. Server was very nice and attentive.

   I was expecting an experience closer to the downtown Seattle Purple. honestly not at all the same. Our waiter came once and never showed up again. Not to check on us, or see if we wanted to order more of anything. Food was fine. Wished we had gone somewhere else.

   I love the ambiance and the wine selection. But our server took a long time to get to us. And our food was really average, given the price. In an upscale environment, we expected better.

   The evening was nearly perfect but one thing distracted us from the food, the mood, the company, everything and that was the fact that it was so dark that we could not read the menu or see our food clearly. It made us wonder if there was something wrong that they didn't want us to see. We brought someone from out of state, hoping to impress, but we scored a dud on that note. She was not anywhere near to being old or a snob. We were very embarrassed but told her it wasn't the first time it was TOO DARK during our dinner. We had thought the first time was a fluke.    We had not gone to this restaurant for years, and decided to go for SRW. We had the duck cassoulet and chef's special sausage rigatoni - both were fantastic. Cheers to Purple for participating in SRW - we will make it a regular go-to dinner out.

   We were there in a Friday night early. Not super busy. We had the meatloaf (pretty good) and chicken Marsala (used to be better). Our sever wasn’t very personable - never asked us how the food was either during or after the meal. The chicken was overcooked tonight. Not the greatest experience and I think we’ll go somewhere else next time we’re looking for a nice dinner.

    Lovely service as always… a bit slower than usual… did not expect a 2+ hr service on a Monday… regardless, food was delicious
