Yes we are coming out of Covid, but i should of checked the menu as it was the same short menu that was available the last time i went (during first Covid Phase 2) Food is good but just wanted to see a different menu as this one has become boring & "same o"
I also forgot that they have a bad habit of charging you sales tax on top of your "TIP" hate this practice!!
The staff are always good :)
Had the fried chicken that is only served on Wednesdays. Used to get it frequently in years past and for some reason it tasted a little better back then. The portion of the chicken is better now but the flavor was better then. Used to include a delicious biscuit and choice of beans and mashed potatoes and gravy which were fabulous. Now the served with sweet potato fries and coleslaw which were pretty good.
Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was good. Nice relaxed evening. Never felt rushed.
Could not have been better. Seamless, greeting, service, and wine plus food. Will return often.
Purple has always been a neighborhood favorite of mine. However, the last visit I was disappointed by the portion sizes. We has reservations for Mother's Day and was lucky to eat inside - the service and separation of tables were great given this pandemic. It was busy but everyone did great in ensuring cleanliness and distancing.
We ordered the special (a pasta seafood dish), which was very tasty. However, the portion size for me and my family were small. It was so disappointing, we decided to have dessert at home. I know we would have filled up with both salad and dessert. But we are trying to be conservative in our money - it was the first time out to dinner in 1.5 years. I really hope Purple can adjust their portions.
So glad we that we ordered the Brie [so delicious] since that and our drinks held us over but that wasn’t much. Unfortunately, our entrees took a while to get served. We arrived with a reservation at 5 and our main course didn’t get to us until past 6:10. My Mom ordered the soup as a starter but arrived with her seared halibut. That came out several minutes after I followed up with our order at 6ish— our server didn’t even update us. Then my husband’s bacon wrapped meatloaf was served minutes after. I ordered the Purple Chopped Salad with chicken and prawns and it arrived last, which is when they were halfway through their meals. The food was good but the service wasn’t. I still tipped 18% but won’t be returning. My Mom has been there a few times and this was our first so that was a disappointing experience.
My eggs were overcooked after I asked for very soft and it took an hour and a half to get our food from the time we ordered. Water was refilled once and our waiter never asked how anything was.
One of our first vaccine-era dining experiences. We love the Purple.
Food was okay. No caramelized onions on my prime rib sandwich and it lacked in horseradish sauce. The ausjus tasted like tomato soup... It wasn’t bad but not what I was expecting. Fries were cold and gross... The calamari was good but the calamari to aioli ratio was a bit off. They need to give you way more aioli. We asked for more it was a bit busy so by the time we got more aioli our calamari was so cold! Bar and grill food that is extremely over priced.. The wine was super good!
We had the worst experience on Saturday by far from our years at coming to your restaurant. The waiter was "nice" but most of the time nowhere to be found. Our lunch order took 75 minutes after we ordered to be served with almost no communication from our waiter. He did say it was coming at about 45 minutes after we asked.
This was my wife’s Birthday/Mother’s day which made it that more disappointing.
The waiters name was Sal. Again, nice guy but did provide the caliber service we are used to from Purple Cafe.
Not quite the norm from what we're used to at Purple, but still very good overall. The service was a little spotty and there was some confusion around the bill. The food was mostly very good, though one dish was quite underseasoned. This is still a go-to for us in Woodinville though!
Food tasty! Wine amazing!
Fries to die for!
Definitely coming back!
My best friend and I came here twice and had the best experience! Our service was amazing
Amazing cinnamon rolls and while limited brunch options are amazing. Have a Mimosa flight that's is great along with lots of local wine from the area
We made a reservation and were seated right away. I love the ambience at Purple, but what made this night special was our server - Autumn K. She was fun and friendly and perfectly attentive. We were celebrating our friend's 40th birthday and the service couldn't have been better.
Yummy food. Thanks for dealing with the pandemic restrictions so we could dine
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Purple. Staff was friendly and we waited a mere two ore three minutes for our (reserved) table after we arrived. Space was clean and tables were separated at a comfortable distance. The waitress was knowledgeable and extremely kind and the food and beverages were lovely. We will definitely return soon.
Center of Woodinville wine tasting, so a great busy atmosphere. The table was outside on a lovely day, some great wine and great food. It is crowded so we had to park next door and walk over, which was easy enough. Menu available by QR code on your phone and the bill taken care of online as well. Great system!
Check out the specials, they’re a great value. Food and service are always wonderful. Parking can be a challenge if you come later, it’s exasperated by utilizing the parking lot for outdoor dining. I do however appreciate the opportunity to continue eating outdoors and socially distanced.
Our go to place for after wine tasting. Always a pleasant time.
Bad, very bad service. Food was good. My wife and I go all the time. The server was is the wrong business.
Wouldn't recommend for brunch. Probably has an amazing dinner atmosphere. Brunch...specifically breakfast options...were met at best. And the meeting of the Karen's next to us, loudly expressing every opinion, was obnoxious. Service was sllooowwww for not an extremely busy morning.
Music seemed too loud for emptyish room.
Server was lovely but had too many tables arriving at the same time. We received our wine flight order after receiving our meals.
No big whoop. We still love Purple!
Great food and service
Great menu options and especially love ‘fried chicken Wednesday’s’. Service was also outstanding. Server even recognized us from a previous visit.
Just didn’t really care for the wine flight of the month or the French dip sandwiches. The homemade aujus wasn’t good at all.
Still...great place to go sit outside on a warm evening. We just made poor food and wine choices.
Great service, delicious food , wine and deserts. The service was outstanding. We will be back.
Great food, great wine, great service. Really enjoyed!
Friends get together after getting vaccinated. Celebrating our friendship.
We went with friends for dinner. The red wine list they offered us only had 10 wines which was very strange for the Purple. The waitress did no know anything about the wines on the list. We decided to try two, both were not good. Then got a couple of flights to try the others since the list was short. Only liked two of the 10. Calamari was good. So was the burrata. The steak and fries were bad, so was the pesto pasta. Looked like food for a preschooler. Lobster Mac was good and the salad (Can’t remember the name). Should have been much better at that price point.
The Shrimp+Fries appetizer & the lobster/crab mac and cheese are MUST HAVES. I could eat both of those every day forever. Great wine as well, love getting a small trio to taste. Always great service.
Good wine, mediocre overpriced food and overworked staff. We won’t be going back.
No I don’t think I will
My only complaint is that our server did not ask us if we wanted more drinks (we did) and when she finally did we were done with our meals and didn’t want them anymore. She lost the additional $$!
Food was delicious.
We have gone to Purple several times but it seems to be deteriorating from a service standpoint to the food options. No specials at all. The service was very hit or miss - mostly miss. I had the halibut which was cooked perfectly and had tasty veggies. My husband's BLT was good except for the bread that couldn't hold up to the inside of the sandwich. Would have ordered more wine if the server would have paid us some attention. Ended up having to ask for the bill. Nobody ever saw our empty water glasses. Becoming very disappointed in this restaurant. It just isn't the classy place it used to be.
Steak wasn’t nearly as good as the previous time I was there
Server was awesome! The hostess who reminded us of a two hour limit was rude. We were in the process of paying and it was a birthday dinner, so we were disappointed and spoke to manager.
Amazing staff and great food. Very knowledgeable on wine pairings as well.
