Everything was great but the place is really noisey, almost to the poit where we could not hear our server standing at our table.
1 food order came out incorrect and it was corrected, however it did not seem to be at the same quality as the original. Like it was the leftovers from the first prep.
Waitress was very good
Good menu and service. Great lunch!
Our server did an excellent job and took care of us as we stayed for a long visit.
Have dined at the Woodinville Purple on many occasions. Consistently a good experience. Food was delicious and the service was perfect. Also a good venue for lunch when wine tasting in the Hollywood School District area.
Purple in Woodinville is a great spot to enjoy a meal whether it's a casual or special event. Great for date night or dinner with friends. The menu has a select variety that most all will find appetizing. Service is outstanding and the ambiance is very appealing. Don't think twice about it. Be sure to make a reservation so you don't have to be kept waiting!
Great food and service as always. 🤗
Brunch was amazing!
Food and service were very good.
Ambiance kinda sucked. It's LOUD in there.
And although the food was good, it was ridiculously priced. $35.00 for four wee scallops?
Brunch menu was great!
Purple Woodinville is becoming a victim of the success of the Woodinville wine scene. Parking is a real issue, even in March. Food is consistently good. Corned beef hash was especially good at Brunch as was the special local wine flight. Another fun option is the happy hour at William Church Winery next door. Wine from William Church, Food etc from Purple.
We loved the ambience and wine. The food was good, but we were disappointed by the nearly lack of vegan options for those of us who don't eat meat and/or dairy.
Purple Cafe has never disappointed us. We always enjoy the food and wine. We have been dining at this location for years. The reason we only go once every six to eight weeks, down from almost weekly at one point, has nothing to do with the food but everything to do with the lack of parking. It is ridiculous. We happened to dine there on a rainy, dark night and my son ended up parking in a gravel lot and ruining his shoes. They don't have a valet so you are on your own. Twice in the last three times we have tried to eat there, with a reservation, we have simply gone elsewhere since we couldn't find parking. Their business must be good since no changes are ever made and no valet is ever there.
This was our second visit, and we were looking forward to it. The menu is surprisingly limited and rather boring
We came in for my friends birthday lunch and ended up spending over $100. Our waitress assumed without asking that my friend wanted the large portion of her meal ($30) and then when she asked for champagne, the waitress asked is she wanted the lower end or the nicer stuff- to which she answered the nicer (because who wants to order the lower end) and it was like $19 a glass.. I love purple and come here a lot, but this experience wasn’t the best.
delicious food and fantastic service
Filet with Umami butter is insanely good.
Everything about the food was good until my dish arrived with 5 small shrimp. I expect more from a high end restaurant. Argentina has some awesome shrimp that are very affordable, hint, hint. Maybe quality isn’t that important to Purple. Yes, I was disappointed, especially for the upcharge for the shrimp.
Food is outstanding and our server was very friendly and helpful with our wine selection.
OpenTable reservations at 2pm, arrived shortly prior, finding a very, very busy restaurant and hostess. Several minutes after checking in, and standing with my mom, basically in the small entrance area and adjacent to unfortunate customers whose table is near the entrance, another Host or Waiter asked who he could help next. I stepped forward, mentioned I had reservations for 2 at 2pm. The Hostess quickly turned from assisting another, said "I've covered that", and the newer Host led us to our upstairs table. I was surprised to only see 2 other tables occupied, of approximately 7 upstairs. Unsure why we had to wait.
Irregardless, the inconvenience was forgotten as soon as our waitress, Riley, came to our table with a cheery, friendly persona. She allowed mom and I to chat, and did not act bothered at our delay in ordering.
I did not receive any resistance when asking for turkey on the chopped salad, and mom's veggie burger looked very good within a toasted bun. Cutting the burger in half made it more manageable to eat for her. Both dishes were good flavored, and adequate portions.
Having dined and enjoyed wine here before, I do like the offerings, and give high marks to Riley for being cognizant of when to approach customers and check on them and their meal. However, I have to ding Purple-Woodinville for how loud it is in their establishment. A few times mom or I had to repeat what we said to each other, due to the ambient sound level. One of our conversations included how we would buffer the noise. Haha!
Overall, I would recommend Purple-Woodinville, especially on a sunny day. Post lunch or dinner, you can easily walk to tasting rooms, or walk the neighborhood to catch up on conversation that was missed inside, due to the volume.
We love Purple. The food is very creative. The menu satisfies both me (a vegetarian) and my husband (a carnivore). There are many great wines to choose from, and the service is friendly and fast. Very nice atmosphere.
Foods were very tasty, and drinks were great variety.
I can always count on Purple in Woodinville for a great meal. The back room is quite loud and drafty, so I would recommend asking to not be seated in there. The food is great. A couple people had the veggie burger this time and it was outstanding. Best veggie burger any of us had tried.
Our appetizer was great and my steak was perfect but the chicken marsala was dry and once the small amount of sauce was gone it wasn't edible. Our wonderful waitress comped the marsala since 80% of it was left on the plate. Surprised to have a bad meal. Never happened before.
The service was quick and friendly, the atmosphere is always vibrant and stylish, the food was good
The staff were really wonderful in helping me make my mom feel special on her birthday. I brought flowers in beforehand which the front desk put in a vase for me and had placed on the table prior to our arrival. They also helped me preorder some appetizers. Our server was great, helpful yet unobtrusive. I believe the Manager stopped by our table to wish my mom a happy birthday. Wonderful team at this location!
Always go to Purple...my go-to place to eat when wine tasting in Woodinville. They also give you a free desert for special occasions ie my birthday which I really love!!
They should warn people that there is only beer and wine and that's it. My guests were very unhappy.
It was our anniversary. They gave us a delicious dessert
We both had the beef dip sandwich, it was amazing! Can’t wait to go back!
Purple is a great place for good food and creative cuisine. Service is exceptional. This place, with a crowd is LOUD!!! Lots of hard surfaces and so many table tops, it is crowded.
Wonderful service, good wine selection, food consistently good but not exceptional. My only complaint is the high noise level makes it almost impossible to hold a conversation.
It was a perfect place to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The server said Happy Birthday several times and when the friend didn’t want to order dessert she Brought three delicious chocolates with a candle!
Excellent food and great service!
Have been to purple Café several times, unfortunately today was a disappointment! Went for my daughter‘s 25th birthday, the food was delicious per usual but the whole experience was a let down due to the extremely poor service! It was surprising and all that much more disappointing since usually they are at the top of the game!
My wife and I came here on a Friday night to celebrate her birthday per a recommendation from a close friend. Regardless of our reservation we were put in a dark corner under the stairs. It was a busy night with the usual east-side housewife crowd, and my request to move to another table was promptly denied with no follow-up concern. The food was good, but not great. All of our dishes seemed to be very heavy on sauce, which usually raises my concerns on the quality of the actual food being delivered. The romaine salad was both our favorite. The baked brie was okay despite the raving recommendations, and the sweet crackers served with it was very weird. We would not recommend this for a "special occasion" destination, but it would suffice for a happy hour or post wine-tasting bite.
It seemed that they were short staffed. Out waitress did a good job when she was available but there was quite a wait. It was also very noisy and it was difficult to hear each other at our table. This may not be the best place for group dining for those of us who are over 60 and want to hear each other.
Great and knowledgeable wait staff
It was my dad's 91st birthday. The waiter was very accommodating and they comp'd a dessert for him. The only thing is it was a bit on the dark side, and a little loud, and for seniors like my dad it was perhaps a bit too much. But he did really enjoy the food and the company!
Fun environment with friendly staffing to meet your needs.
My meal was amazing! We were with another couple celebrating my husbands birthday and only 2 of us had a good meal. Both my husband and friend ordered the filet and with a hefty price of $42 I would expect an amazing steak! My husbands meal in general was cold ans they both complained that the cut wasn’t good for a filet- very tough to cut. My friend sent hers back and was unable to order something else since the server said it would be a least a half hour to prepare anything.
The table next to us also had 4 seated until their friends joined them and they added another 4. Between the high pitched voices and the woman who insisted and standing in my personal space with her behind literally in my face that was super annoying. They never figured out that they were being crazy loud and apparently don’t care about personal space.
I would try the place again but I was disappointed for sure.
