Before an event at Benaroya, a friend and I enjoyed a delicious dinner at Purple. We both had salads--I had the full-sized chopped salad, and she had the smaller seasonal salad with kale. She was happy with hers, and mine was absolutely delicious with a myriad of flavors that all sang a happy song together. My salad was $15, not a bad price, especially in downtown Seattle, and I couldn't eat all of it, so shared some with her, and she liked it, as well. I was sad that she was dieting, as I would have loved to have tried a dessert, but that will be the next time!

Travelling from Vancouver we decided to go to Seattle as a special occasion and to dine at Purple;
Pre-dinner drinks arrived warm and took forever to arrive. Chose wine pairing with our meal, that did not arrive until appetizer was almost finished.
One of the dinners was Very Overcooked.
Server was a nice fellow who did recognize that the wine was served late. He also took the time to ask if we enjoyed our dinner however, when we advised that one entree was very overcooked, he did not acknowledge this in any way. Seemed to question our comment.
We chose Purple and specifically went to Seattle to dine there so overall; I would say it was a bit disappointing as we went specifically for that. a bit of a let down which was unfortunate.
I would recommend this restaurant to others as we have had great experiences here on other occasions. hoping it is a one off.

Service was very slow. Took a while to order, and it seemed to take much longer to get our food. Not sure where our wait person was most of the time.

Looked for a quick bite over conversation after work with a friend and was pleased that Purple worked out perfectly. Have been to Purple before for multi course meals but wondered if with a smaller order we would feel rushed. Not at all. Excellent and friendly service and he encouraged us to keep talking. A great place for all kinds of meals.

Beautiful restaurant with striking two-story wine structure in the center of the space. Innovative and delicious takes on casual favorites like burgers, lobster Mac n Cheese and New York Strip steak. Start with the aperitif menu, order the freshly baked sour dough round with cold salted butter, the crab cakes and roasted cauliflower. I had the duck breast and suggested wine pairing and enjoyed every bite and sip. Overall great dining experience!

It was just okay...from the reviews we assumed it was going to be one of the greats in the Seattle food scene but it was just okay. We also went with our 1 year old and the high chairs are much lower than the tables. It was just bizarre so she had to sit on our lap. The service was really slow and the food was good but nothing memorable.

All time favorite restaurant. When the Huz and I relocated to Portland, we took Amtrak to Seattle just to have dinner at Purple. We agreed it was worth the trip. Purple salad is the very best.

Our party of six ate lunch here one afternoon. The menu was creative and my dish was good.

That said, gluten free bread options would have allowed for many more options given sandwiches are a big part of the lunch menu.

Nuflours in Seattle makes great GF buns and loaves if anyone working at Purple actually reads this review.

Went in for a nice sit-down dinner with friends. We were all very impressed. The menu had so many creative options that it took us quite a while to finally decided. The craft drinks were well made and strong. The dessert was beyond our expectations. And the service was phenomenal! My boyfriend kept raving about how great the overall service was I have never seen him so excited about a restaurant. It could also have helped that the wine menu had so many beautiful options and offered amazing flights. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

The restaurant is beautiful! However the service could be much better. It took a very long time for us to get our servers attention to order another glass of wine and dessert. Then once we had been done eating for over 40 minutes we finally were able to flag down our waiter once again to get the check. It was a very busy evening however they should have been better staffed. Other than that, wonderful ambiance, good food and a nice time!

We visited this wine bar after seeing it while driving by. My wife and I both did a wine flight. When we found 2 of the glasses undrinkable, our waiter took them back and gave us 2 that were from another flight category. That is exceptional service. The decor with the floor to ceilings, steel doors and a wine staircase is really cool. The wine list comes in a catalog, if you can't find something you like it is your fault. We did appetizers, the dates with cheese and prosciutto and the lobster mac-n-cheese is really good, I would recommend both. Over all this is a great place to dine and drink wine.

Great place. Love their menu but it’s the always diverce of the locations. Tables are way to close it was hard to hear over the people next to us. Great food loved what we both ordered but sad other items that are at other locations were not on the menu. Sorry to say the service was absolutely poor. It sounds dramatic but it might be the worst service I’ve had in a while. Just aloof

Our server, Treavor, was outstanding! He was the best part of our evening out.
The hostesses at the entrance were cold and unsmiling, rather curt in their behavior, definitely not as welcoming as one would expect upon entering an eatery.
My husband enjoyed his meal quite a bit. My food was pretty tasteless; not really worth eating,
let alone paying for.
Additionally, I was disappointed last time we went to Purple (a few months ago), to discover that you have changed your Chopped Salad. I ordered it without noticing the change, and was VERY disappointed in the new version. Since the chopped salad was the main thing I enjoyed about Purple in the past, its absence is significant. I do not think we will be returning to Purple, let alone recommending it.

Came here before a show at the Triple Door with my fiance and my parents. My parents were probably less impressed since they don't come to "the city" a whole lot - and they don't have Jack so my step dad didn't drink - but the food was great and the wine recommendations were excellent as well. Overall, great service and they were in-tune with our need to be out of there at a certain time to get to a show.
