When Purple called to confirm they asked if we were celebrating a special occasion. I told them that it was my husband’s birthday. Unfortunately, the caller didn’t make a note of that and they gave us about the worst table in the house. We were right by the door and had people milling around our table and despite the tenting felt the draft from outside. I continually feel that booking via OpenTable guarantees that you will get the worst table in the house.
I always like going there, but it is very loud to have a conversation. The food is always good and so is the service.
Very disappointed! I have been to this restaurant on prior occasions and it was wonderful! During this visit however, the trout and pork chop were extremely salty. Purple also used to take great pride in their plating. These were not attractive plates as the food resembled a good day at Denny's. Sorry Purple, we will be seeking alternative dining options.
We went for my husband's birthday. They treated us like royalty, and comped a dessert and two glasses of port wine to have with it. Everything tasted so incredible, and the wine pairings they recommended were spot on.
Great food as usual. Will go back again.
Food was amazing!
The ambiance was great. The appetizer was undercooked . We had the baked Brie. This is the 2nd this has happened so we will stay away from the baked Brie. The dinners were decent. There are dEfinitely better options in Seattle for the food.
Lots of variety both in food and drink options. Nice dining for pre-show but allow plenty of time since service seemed to lag as business picks up. Even so, we’ll be back.
Everything good, except server mixed up our wine
The food was really tasty. Everything I had was a pleasure to the taste buds. The staff was very attentive and provided excellent service. However, this location when busy becomes cacophonous; to the point of being unable to hear what my girlfriend was saying some of the time. Another thing to note is how cold this location is, with the heavy doors opening and closing and the waitstaff unable to change the thermostat it results in a very frigid environment. If you eat be sure to bundle up! Overall I would have to rate this restaurant 3 stars out of 5.
The food was good, the service was great. The only place that they fell down significantly was in non-alcoholic drinks. There were house made shrubs, but other than that it was slim pickings on tea or fast food style fountain sodas (coke, sprite). If you go with a designated driver or anyone under 21 it's a problem. My daughter and I both tried a strawberry basil shrub, but vinegar drinks aren't for everyone.
Delicious food, great service. The brie appetizer is absolutely amazing!
First time to Purple. Great service and great food.
We love visiting Purple whenever we’re in Seattle. This time as usual was lovely. Super nice waiter & staff. Missed Janice who was off this night.
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Purple after attending a show at the 5th Avenue. Our waiter was excellent with suggestions and attentiveness. Look forward to a return visit!
We had a lovely lunch before seeing Mamma Mia! At The 5th Avenue Theatre.
Dinner and a show with adult children
The food was fantastic and the wine selection incomparable. Truly a great evening. Ashley was a spectacular server
Got there about 30 minutes early and got seated right away. Great service. Great food. Need more option for desserts
