Cool vibe, good food. I eat lunch here often, but this was one of only a couple of times that we’ve gone for dinner. Was in the mood for a comfortable local place with good food but not too fancy. I started w/my tried and true lunch selection—chopped salad and had two apps as my main course—filo wrapped Brie & tuna tartare. Both were very flavorful. Husband had beef tenderloin steak—not as perfectly prepared as what a more expensive top steakhouse offers, but it was good and portion was surprisingly big. Service was friendly and timely without being overly intrusive. Hit the spot.
The waitstaff and reservation desk did a great job of accommodating our special needs birthday person. They had it ready when we showed up and served up a great meal! I will say that the noise level in this space is very high ... steel and concrete and glass and a full load of customers made it exceptionally loud in the restaurant. It didn't spoil the dinner but did make for difficulty in conversing.
Disappointed at initial reception as gal checking us in couldn't find our reservation (made 5 days ahead via Open Table). She not only couldn't find it (even though I showed her the confirm on my phone), she proceeded to argue with us that we must be mistaken; the reservation must have been at one of the other Purple locations, or have been made at Lot 3 restaurant next door, or perhaps for a different evening! Definitely not following the Nordstrom of customer service model!
We were celebrating two occasions, birthdays and our dear friend being finished with her Chemo. Our waiter “Shane” was so accommodating, made our evening very special.
I had the oven roasted chicken with mushroom marsala sauce...EXCELLENT!
We booked a reservation here for a double date, but unfortunately a couple of things went wrong. There was a much larger party (bachelorette?) that was taking up our waiters time, so we had our service switched a couple of times, and no one seemed to know if we had ordered or not. One waiter spilled a full glass of water over someone in our group, and not much was done besides some towels being brought over. I received the special risotto with scallops, but the scallops were really overdone, but the risotto itself was wonderful, so I didn't complain. Overall, not the experience we wanted to share with our friends, and for how much we spent, we could go somewhere else and be treated a lot better.
Dark and romantic with phenomenal seasonal options
Love this place. Very upscale and professional. Food excellent and great service.
Our waiter made is feel very rushed, he was pushy and rude. We were ordering drinks and an appetizer and he made us feel like we were impolite by not ordering a full dinner. The experience was soured by his demeanor.
Fun lunch with friends!
