We tried the wagyu beef and it wasn’t for us. We understand this is a high price, fancy cut of meat, but we did not enjoy it. Maybe our palates are just sub par? Otherwise it was a lovely evening and we had a great time!
We enjoy the restaurant and especially appreciate Ashley, who is always friendly and welcoming. She makes your restaurant better!
Big disappointment...have been a regular customer in Kirkland for years and occasionally in Bellevue...waiter took the idea of casual dress to heart...rumpled flannel plaid shirt that would have looked better in a pub or the woods...total not the Purple image. The new York steak was prepared as ordered - very rare but the cut was sinewy and had grizzle and was poorly trimmed...even the steak knife could not get through it...my dog liked it though. The fries with the steak were rubbery and cold....the competition in B'vue is keen and Purple needs to step up.
Great place, with a great wine selection.
The food here is fantastic- I love that everything has a great wine selection to go with it. The layout and ambiance are great!
Waiter did his job well enough but seemed a little aloof and distracted. We enjoyed our food and the overall experience and would definitely go back.
Went for happy hour on valentines day. We got a bunch of appetizers, they were half off, drinks were on discount as well. The food was absolutely amazing and affordable during happy hour! Loved every dish, we will certainly be back.
Slow wait staff. Chicken Marsala was a joke. $15 for parking?
I typically love Purple and my dish (the Lamb ragu) was great. My husband's steak was just meh. The appetizer was good but not amazing. I think if you have unlimited budget for dining and a really good bottle of wine it's a very nice place but if you want to pay under $50 for a bottle you're headed to the wrong spot.
Open mess hall style environment that some may like. Chicken had no flavor, slow service and VERY noisy. Not my style.
Best service I've had at any purple restaurant. Food was on point as usual.
Had a great lunch! Met up with a friend, and had no issues with being seated and served promptly. Our waitress was great and with just the right amount of attention - not too little, not too much. We got the lunch combo of the tomato soup and chopped salad, and both were delicious and filled me up perfectly. I have been here for dinner before, but was really pleased with my lunch experience all around.
We've had dinner at this location multiple times.
Seating: We always ask for a wall or window table - they seem to be quieter
Service: The service was okay but not great. The server could have come by a bit more.
Wait time for food: Usually the wait for food isn't too long. We ordered a steak and a burger. It took ~40 min to get our order which seemed like a very long time. We also ordered dessert (crème brulee) and it also took forever (for what it is). For entrees and dessert we were there for over 2 hrs on a Saturday night.
Burger - Husband said it was good but they forgot the onion
Steak - was cooked as ordered, needed more seasoning
Crème Brulee - Very good
Overall, it was good but the service was very slow and somewhat inattentive. He refilled my soda with the wrong kind and almost got the dessert order wrong (I caught it and corrected him). We'll be back - am thinking they were having a off-night. Maybe multiple people were out sick.
We had a lovely time on our date night out. Food was delicious if not terribly memorable, but a good meal is a good meal. The flavor combinations are fun and unique. The service and ambience was top notch. We adored the Creme Brûlée.
Great as always!
