The food was fantastically prepared and presented. I started with the Spiced and Seared Broccoli and was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful it was. For an entree, I had the Potato Gnocchi with King Crab. Magnificent! Light and delicate gnocchi with a rich and tasty butter sauce. I highly recommend both.
On a side note, the Groni was one of the best Negronis I’ve had to date.
All in all, a great dining experience and one you should go out of your way to see for yourself
First visit to Boston and felt like there were a ton of options for great food. Picked Puritan bc of proximity. Lovely restaurant and very nice and attentive staff. Food was delicious!
Simply said, Puritan and Co. is one of the best spots in Boston/Cambridge. The food is super fresh, tasty, they switch it up frequently, great wine list with super knowledgeable Som. And amazing service all around. The team is fantastic. Love the bar scene as well. Home away from home. Go!
Well-prepared local ingredients in this farm-to-table neighborhood restaurant which is well worth the trip. Emphasis on seasonal produce, with particularly interesting vegetables dishes - great for vegetarians. Good pastas, charcuterie, meat the 6 course seasonal tasting menu is a fun splurge for special occasions.

Flavors were incredible, from the assorted pastries to the patty melt and the simply dressed salad.
Great brunch spot!
Puritan and Co. gave my boyfriend and I an incredible 2 year anniversary experience! Loved every second of our delicious meal and our Barley Wine vertical.
Very authentic New England style with creative and delicious food. The Salmon tartar as starter was just heavenly. Super service and very nice people both serving and cooking. Just a fabulous place!
Great brunch! We felt as if we were back in the East Village in NYC -- but without the east Village prices. Will definitely be back.
This New England based restaurant had excellent service and outstanding food. The server was very knowledgeable about wine and quite helpful with the menu. One of had the gnocchi (superb), another the steak (perfectly cooked) and I had the baked cod over lobster sauce. It was one of the best fish dishes I’ve ever had.
Visiting Boston and read abt this place on Trip Advisor. Made reservations but got there 30 min early. They still seated us. Tried chef’s sampling. Waiter Warren was one of the best ever. Very attentive and our water glasses never got below half full. Food was amazing and service by Warren and other waitstaff was incredible. Between each course, our plates and utensils got cleared and table wiped. Everything timed perfectly. Highly recommend!!!!
We enjoyed our dinner at Puritan. The food was the highlight. Everything we ordered was very flavorful. Appetizers are generous in size. Our only complaint was the cocktail drinks. They are delicious -- just wish it had less ice more alcohol :) Our friend's drink was especially loaded with ice, which dilutes the drink quite a bit.
This place is delightful. Modern farmhouse vibe in the middle of Somerville, and probably some of the best restaurant service we've had recently. This is a well-run establishment with a high functioning team that knows how to collaborate, and it pays off for guests. The food is excellent -- well prepared with unique but clean flavors -- and the wines are interesting -- we had some varietals we hadn't heard of before. Definitely going back when we have the chance.
Amazing! Literally one of the best dinners I’ve ever had.
Me and my wife’s favorite place for brunch! The pastry basket selection with cheeseburguer or the steak n’ eggs are a must. All topped with mimosas and coffee, the perfect mix.
Amazing brunch food! What a treat. Delicious and simple brunch menu.
I was in town visiting my niece who just started college. I wanted to treat her to a nice meal. We were both excited about Puritan & Co. they called me the day before to confirm my reservation and see if I had questions. I was impressed with that and they were very nice.
We were promptly seated for our reservation even though we were 10 minutes early. The service was slow and the starters were mediocre. We had the burrata pesto. It was good but needed something to balance the large amount of cheese like toast points or something. We also had the crudo which was mostly watermelon and hardly any tuna.
The entrees we had were good: lamb and crab linguine. The desserts were also just meh.
Overall, the atmosphere is energetic but hard to hear, service before being seated us great but then got slow, food is mediocre at best.
Food was nothing special. Ordered mussels: no taste. Pasta tastes better at home. Definitely overpriced for quality of food.
Again really good! That’s why we chose to have our wedding dinner there’
Loved Puritan & Co! Oysters are super fresh & yummy. You can get a variety of dishes to share, and judging by the tables around us all of the dishes were beautiful. The Lamb dish was amazing, and they even put the yogurt dressing on the side as members of our party were lactose intolerant. The servers are so kind and thoughtful. Definitely will come back!
We split the Sunday roast beef prix fixe special. Plenty of food, perfectly prepared, very satisfying, delicious. Our waiter was terrific - just the right amount of attention. Excellent craft beer on draft. Sunday night was pretty quiet but I can see how this place might get hopping on a weekday or weekend night. We will be back!
Superb kitchen. Small menu appreciated. Seasonal-each dish is special
and prepared with care. Even drinks and wine list are wonderful!
Will be back soon. Hugo and Carol, Barnstable, MA
Such a cool place with a unique twist on brunch. Extensive wine and beer list. We were a party of 6 and every loved their meal and the pastry basket we ordered for the table.
Second or third time there. Love the menu and overall food was delicious this time, but both of our entrees were SALTY! and our waiter had ZERO personality... couldn't even get a smile out of him... we asked for more of the AMAZING bread (warm buttery rolls sprinkled with salt) and they arrived cold. I'll go back but crossing fingers for a better experience next time.
Great service, lovely atmosphere, and fun brunch options. Some of the plates were a bit dull but the food was high quality.
We love Puritan. Excellent food and really great service.
This was our second time here and everything was amazing and perfect. We sat next to a couple who were regulars and they loved their meals. Very accommodating to vegetarian diet and various allergies. Great dinner!
Amazing restaurant, Will!
Service was top notch, explained all specials, food was executed perfectly.
Drinks were amazing, we will be back!
Thanks chef Will and your team.
Good was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
Puritan and Co. strikes the balance between inventive and on target. That is hard to do. Everything is both an adventure and delicious. Great beer and wine list, with some interesting and reasonably-priced bottles. Friendly staff -- attentive but not intrusive.
We had a great brunch- fish pate and pork belly were the highlights! Server was very friendly, sought recommendations for us. Great beer variety!
Had a delicious dinner here with friends - cocktails were delicious, food was fresh and inventive and complex, portion sizes were perfect. Would absolutely return!
Eclectic menu and wine list. Great , friendly service.
The food, drinks, and ambiance were superb as always. We got the 6 course seasonal menu and one thing that could have significantly improved the experience was shortening the time between courses from ~30 minutes to 15. Our waiter did acknowledge how long it took (and gave us each a glass of wine) which we really appreciated. Will definitely keep coming back to Puritan and Company but may not necessarily order the tasting menu again.
Our meal could not have been better prepared. In fact, the whole dining experience was superb. Servers showed they really cared about our meal, the sommelier stopped by and shared a pour of a beautiful Italian red, and the food was inventive, fresh and local, and absolutely delicious - every course. The bass, with its salty crust, was a standout, as was the pasta course of our tasting-menu selection.
Highest rating and recommendation for this beautiful and comfortable restaurant. I'm so excited that we live but a 12-minute walk away!
Puritan and Co is always fantastic and our “go to” in Somerville/Cambridge. Great staff, great atmosphere and the menu is always delicious. Kudos to the chef and staff for always keeping it top notch.
Food was delicious. We got an extremely helpful server. Would love to go again.
Our night at Puritan & Co was perfect! It was our second visit to this restaurant. They warmly welcomed us, knowing that we came to celebrate our engagement. Staff members were very friendly, yet polite/not invasive. We had the 6-course menu du chef, which was divine! They made sure we had no allergies or specific preference before letting the chef be creative with the various plates. Everything was delicious, fresh, and local. And we took the wine pairing option, for which our server gave interesting info. The ambiance was lovely as well; while it fits well for a romantic dinner, groups and birthday celebrations are welcome too (and the decor is beautiful!). The place is lively without being too noisy. I just love this place! Will keep recommending it to friends for sure! Thanks, Puritan & Co :)
Food was different and excellent. Had the veggie shebang and a few other dishes. Enjoyed it very much!
