Everything was delicious. We had a great experience and will definitely return if we are back in Boston.
We enjoyed celebrating our 21 wedding anniversary @ Puritan. The food was amazing, thx to the chef for adjusting to my desire to avoid cheese. We had a terrific waiter who added to our evening immensely with thoughtful suggestions and the perfect balance of being there at just the right time.
We will be back!
Food was homey with the perfect twists to classic favorites. Every bite was delicious we were raving about it the entire time. Very helpful to have an in house sommelier to give advice for the best wine pairings.
Love Puritan and Co. The food is excellent, the service simple and friendly. The restaurant tables are well spread out so one can have a conversation.
Puritan & Co has been outstanding every time I’ve gone, last night was no exception! The chef and the staff are all so thoughtful and accommodating. We had a vegan guest with us and the chef prepared a beautiful and unique meal — it was not your ordinary thrown together dish, it was thoughtful and so delicious! I would highly recommend Puritan & Co!
Consistently excellent food and service. Always a friendly atmosphere.
Overall delightful with good food and service. Most cocktails and dishes were spot on. Would definitely come back.
2nd time there and was fantastic again. Food is always high quality and flavors blend together perfectly- especially truffle crab toast and buratta
Everyone was wonderful. The food was an experience. Loved it! We will be back!
Seems like the food was not as good as pre covid. They also started charging for the bread on the table, Which is a small thing but people who frequent this place before are not used to this. The desert we had feels like a random throw together of pieces of broken yellow cake, jam and meringue. The presentation was not appealing. The flavors are random. P&C, you used to do so much better than this. Looking forward to improvements.
Great food! Brunch was a great price and the food was outstanding. The outdoor space was also great now - covered but open air and well decorated too.
We celebrated my birthday with the 5 course tasting menu & wine pairings. The food was delicious, innovative & beautifully presented. Service was good, attentive but nicely paced. I would highly recommend this for a special occasion.
A group of us ate at Puritan & Co and enjoyed our cocktails and meal very much. Highlights were the Bauer Sour and Brigandage cocktails, the truffled crab toast, the Wagyu carpaccio, the lamb ragu orcchiete, the seafood pasta dish, and the lamb chops (though they only give 2 small chops). We also enjoyed the rose flan, the strawberry Panna Cotta and the chocolate tart with cherries.
Tasting menu was incredible. Great value for your money.
Excellent food and wine. Layers of complex flavors in every dish, while still being approachable and welcoming. Could eat the salmon poke and hanger steak with truffled potatoes all day long! This place has been consistently great since it opened many years ago. We will be back again soon. Nice addition of the outdoor patio.
Great food and excellent drink menu. I would be happy just going to the bar and ordering off the bar menu.
We had crab toast and grilled octopus for appetizers. I literally could have eaten just the appetizers for the entire meal and would have been happy. The Notta Fanta was delicious!!! The pasta with seafood was absolutely heavenly. I couldn't eat the entire meal in 1 sitting. It was a lot of food and had to take it home. It was not wasted. Always happy to eat here and the food is fresh and delicious.
The ambience and service were as delightful as the food was delicious. Best prime rib dinner ever!
The best brunch in Massachusetts, perhaps in all of New England. You could order from the menu blindfolded and never be disappointed. The playlist for brunch is 👌🏻 and they have both indoor and outdoor speakers.
My dinner at Puritan and Co was absolutely fabulous. I’ve been to this restaurant multiple times and believe that dining at Puritan and Co is more than just eating out because it truly feels more like an experience. To start, the waitstaff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I can tell that they operate as a small family which is heartwarming and makes the dining experience all the more special. Our waiter was ready to help us navigate the menu and impressively long wine list. Ultimately, we settled on the tasting menu and wine pairing. It was phenomenal! The carpaccio melted in the mouth, the flash fried soft shell crab was light and crispy, and I never wanted the mushroom risotto to end! The wines showed up right on time with the food and we were able to try a diversity of tasty wines. We sat on their well constructed outdoor patio which was beautiful. We were kept cool by the tarp they recently added. Overall, it was a delicious experience and I always walk away from Puritan and Co feeling happy and thinking about when I can come back next. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out!
Super friendly service, great drinks and tasty small plates! Outdoor seating is very cute with an cover and lanterns.
Lovely meal in the new, well-thought out patio space. Puritan’s price point and their thoughtful, smaller-portioned servings puts this on the higher end of casual dining for me; but they’re a great neighborhood business that was scrappy enough to make it through the pandemic, so I plan to go back. The cucumber mignonette sauce for oysters was perfect, fiddleheads the best I’ve tasted.
Delicious food in a great setting. Homey and refined. Great menu selection and very well crafted overall. Would return to sit at the bar for a drink, or for another meal!
We had a fantastic Father’s Day brunch. They have only 1 table in their outdoor seating that is in the shade at 11:30, and since no one was sitting outside in the heat, it was ours. Food was delicious, especially the pastries. Street parking can be a little harder since restaurants have taken up spots with the outdoor seating, but we did get a spot.
Love Puritan and so happy to be back to "normal" dining!! Had the chef's tasting menu with wine paring and everything was superb. Got to try a few dishes that we would normally not order, and very happy we did! Everything was delicious and the staff, as always, was so friendly.
Appetizers were delicious. Main courses weren’t as good, as undersalted
We had a great food and drinks, it was a great experience.
Delicious food and we had a fun/friendly waitress who made the overall experience great.
Our waitress was very nice. The food was just extremely bland. Evidently not seasoned at all. Ambience was meh. Had to send back a raw piece of halibut, whatever. If you haven’t yet been, you can safely skip this one. Now we know.
Incredible food and impeccable service. Recommend the chef’s tasting menu for a special occasion. Truly a memorable dining experience.
Puritan and Co is one of our favorite restaurants in the greater Boston area. They are casual and friendly, but the food and wine selections are very good. We have eaten there many times and have always been happy.
Always outstanding, from the food, to the wine, to the service. One of our favorite spots in the city.
Enjoyed dinner on their outdoor patio. Food and service exceeded expectations. Waitstaff were friendly and very knowledgable. Ask questions and follow their recommendations. Some of the best food and wine we have had in the Boston area. Unassuming from the outside, but definitely upscale. We will return.
Did the tasting menu and it was outstanding
We had the "experience" tasting menu. Every course was creative, complex, and delicious. We put our trust in Todd, the sommelier, and he came through with three excellent pairings. It is a delight when the wine opens up new dimensions in the food! Portions were modest, so we felt well satisfied, but not stuffed. At the close of the meal our server asked which course was our favorite. Each of the four of us chose a different course.
Tired room and tired food. Enough with the COVID excuses. Overly complex and weird desserts
Thanks for a wonderful anniversary dinner. The meal was well paced and the food was outstanding!
food was okay but not great, they put radish almost on all starters)) but still not a bad place to check once
We went for the 5 course adventure and we were blown away. Not only was every course it’s own journey of taste but the wine director helped us choose a wine that complemented every single bite. The people were amazing and made us feel safe and relaxed as we enjoyed our meal.
I can’t recommend this experience enough. If you’re in the area and haven’t experienced it, get there!
Puritan & Company is always a good choice. The food is consistently excellent, the staff is always friendly, and the ambience is comfortable. We've been going regularly for more than six years.
