Great atmosphere, very nice and modern decoration, and great food, good products perfectly cooked. I warmly recommend!
All good: server engaging and informative, servings larger than I remembered, creative comfort food.
Very good food. Potato gnocchi is delicious!
Great food - like the fact that there are no tv’s. Cocktails tasted great but they don’t go heavy on the garnish (but I guess that is why it’s called Puritan & Company!).
Never a disappointment!
Not one bite was left of my broccoli and cheddar scramble. Was with a newbie and he loved it! Great place for a date!
We went on a busy Sunday for brunch. Party of 5, one with a nut allergy. They took the allergy very seriously and had plenty of menu items and bakery goods that were safe for him. Our first visit...we will definitely be back!
I don't mind taking my time at dinner, but this was slow. My wife and I were out for a date night, and upon sitting down, it took a lot longer than normal for a server to come by and grab our order. He was not particularly knowledgeable on the drink list other than to recite what was written. We ordered some wine and a cocktail, then a half dozen oysters. This was the highlight of the night. The salsa verde sauce for the oysters was a new touch, but it was delicious. We then ordered a few things to share - the cod, a king crab toast, and the steamed clams. The clams were rubbery, would not get them again. The king crab toast was cold (if intentional, it didnt feel right) and had flavors that just did not seem to go together, but the cod was well cooked and pretty tasty. The downside was that it took a LONG time to get these dishes out to us. We probably won't be back again.
Delicious food, excellent service, the perfect place to grab a bite and a drink during any season. 100% recommend! Their bread rolls are some of the most delicious baked goods I've ever had.
Great food, great team and awesome wine selection. It is know my top spot to eat out in Boston.
Had such an amazing night from service to food! One of the best meals we all 4 of us have had in a long time and we eat out a lot in Boston!
We enjoyed our visit, but i will not be rushing back. The entrees were a bit pricey for what was received and 3 out of the 6 were ill prepared.. The Steak was underdone, the cod was not cooked and when sent back it came out the cous cous cold as if the fish was blasted in a microwave and the plate left sitting onthe counter, and the pork chop was overdone a bit dry.
What was VERY surprising was a 3% charge for "kitchen staff fee". I felt hat this was a deceptive charge.. It is not noted anywhere on the menu and I was now confused, do I deduct that fro the usual tip? If the restaurant wants to increase their staff to a living wage that is fine, just be upfront with it so state in the menu and incorporate it into the price.
Everything was delicious! Pastries were out of this world, eggs were perfect, coffee was great.
amazing pastries and brunch! worth the $$ very cute and easy to get a reservation
Outstanding food and great expanded menu. Wine options exceptional.
Food is AMAZING. Love the space too. We'll be back!
It was my first time dining here. Loved it! Enjoyed their special Sunday evening prime rib dinner, complete with side dishes! Service was great and the kitchen did a perfect job accommodating my wife’s food allergies. Happy to support a locally-owned restaurant that is creating really good food.
This is one of my favorite brunch place! The pastry basket is delicious and the service is great. I just keep coming back!
Excellent meal. Inventive menu - great flavor combinations using high quality ingredients. Great beer. Really fantastic overall experience. Will be back for sure. Thanks.
First time in, very nice. We will be back!
As a former restaurant manager, catering manager and baker, this restaurant "takes the cake". The food is very special, the portion size is perfect and it is innovative with out being pretentious. I have sent many people there including my boss and his boss.
And being a "wine geek" I loved trying all of the wines that you could not normally find! The wine service was amazing
We had a wonderful time on New Year’s Eve - the food was amazing, the waitstaff was wonderful and the sommelier was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging! Highly recommend 👍🏻
This was New Year’s Eve. Fix priced preset menu.
Food was excellent. Service was one of the best That
I have ever experienced. The entire staff pitched in to make it a very memorable occasion.
Our favorite place- keeps getting better! There for New Year ‘s Eve dinner this time-wow!
Everything was delicious from the cocktails & starters to dessert . Service was warm and friendly as always.
Very good overall
Our party of four had a wonderful time here. The food was outstanding and the wait staff was very knowledgeable.
All the vegetarian side dishes we tried were delicious, interesting for jaded vegetarian restaurant goers, and well cooked. Special note: the squash gratin with cream, cheese, and crispy crumb topping is like a low carb comforting mac and cheese entree! Would make a cozy filling vegetarian meal if ordered with another vegetable side (or custom plate!). My salmon was overcooked, but edible: the accompanying perfectly roasted Brussels sprouts, French lentils, and mustardy cream were the highlight of the meal for me. Ambiance was dark but romantic, with especially cozy, cushioned corner booths. I appreciate that this place put effort into sound dampening panels on ceiling and one wall - very helpful for reducing noise in an otherwise brick and hard surfaces interior. The service was absolutely excellent: attentive, friendly, helpful, but never pushy or uncomfortable. Lots of enthusiastic and filling options for vegetarians when we inquired! Napkins were folded, water refilled, and crumbs removed as if by magic. Cocktails were delicious, unique, and balanced, not too sweet at all - and the amari selection is robust. Chocolate mousse with teff brownie and nougat was surprising but not disappointing. Would definitely return for another cozy evening of crafty cocktails and cozy, better than expected dining.
The food is delicious and affordable in terms of farm to table restaurants. I highly recommend.
Love this place
Menu was interesting, and prices weren’t too bad. However, our server was rude, and that would deter me from coming back.
Still can’t stop talking about the gnocchi! So many great, delicious options to split and the chef/owner is so personable (brings dishes out to tables). We will definitely go back again soon!
The drinks were great, the food was fine and I appreciated that the place wasn't super loud. I was confused by the message the wait staff appearance is trying to convey. Beer-bellied young men in plaid shirts - is that how puritans looked?
Fantastic, professional service. Outstanding food. Energetic but not overpowering atmosphere.
Everything was delicious from the awesome rolls to the baked cod, potato gnocchi...We all tried the pumpkin & cranberry bean fritters..good for a light appetizer
The toffee desert yummy..
Meal was a little slow in serving but it was worth it.. all individually
Prepared and all came out very hot!!
Ready to go back and try something different!!
Not a lot to say. I've been at the restaurant or bar a few times before and had a pretty good experience. The last time was very mediocre. Some nice presentations of some dishes, but in the end I want to have enough food on the plate to really savor it. Some dishes had miserly, almost laughable portions. At the end of the meal, I shouldn't still be feeling hungry.
Honestly, we were not quite impressed with Puritan & Co, especially with the overwhelming good reviews. We were excited to participate in Prime Rib Sunday, but left disappointed. We had some mediocre cocktails, bland food/unbalanced plates, and decently delicious dessert. Unfortunately, nothing left an impressionable experience.
One of the best brunches in Cambridge. Great quiche, pork belly hash and fish tacos. Tasty bloody Mary, too.
Four of us dined Saturday evening. While two dishes were quite good (flat iron steak), the tuna schnitzel was very disappointing. The entire meal was cold, but had taken so long between courses - which continued through to receiving the check 3 hours later - we did not want to wait for an exchange. Our server varied in attitude from helpful and friendly to snooty. This spot seems to have a lot of potential but given the inconsistent experience we will likely not return.
We took my “foodie” daughter here for her birthday and she loved it. We then found out she’d been twice before and it’s one of her fav restaurants. Interesting choices, excellent service, great wine and creative drink. Bill was steep but we all enjoyed what we ordered. Excellent for a special occasion.
PERFECT place for a birthday brunch!
