Amazing environment and food.
We had a lovely birthday brunch at Puritan and Co. and were lucky to meet the wonderful pastry chef Becca who produces an original group of pastries each weekend!
Another exquisite meal and evening at Puritan! Though we have been many times, they have taken it to another level of excellent at this visit. The room is still warm and inviting with a great buzz, but it was the food and service this time that was flawless. From our cocktail, through appetizers and finishing with our entrees, all was enjoyed. Thank you Peter and company for taking such good care of us!
From the BBQ beet salad to the Scottish Salmon to the salmon toast, all was superb. Our server (Sarah?) was so friendly and helpful! The side tables were a little close for privacy, but overall it was a wonderful experience. We will be back to try other things!
We made a reservation for 8:30. Was not seated until 8:50 with no where to stand at the door. Very disappointing and difficult if you have a group
Our waitress was incredible. I wish so badly I could remember her name but she suggested that we get a Kouign-amann and it was literally the greatest thing we’ve ever had. She has the psychology of brunch DOWN! We had gotten savory options but wanted something sweet for variety and that pastry truly delivered. Everything was great, the food, ambiance, price point were all perfect for a casual Sunday brunch with friends! The only reason this didn’t get 4 stars from me is because I find it a bit strange in this day and age for a restaurant to not carry not dairy milk options! Not asking for oat milk or anything fancy - just a soy milk for your lactose intolerant patrons :) overall incredible and will be there again!!
Amazing vegetarian options and great drinks in a super cool environment.
We order all the vegetarian options in the menu (4 I guess) and they were all great, with highlight to the spiced and seared broccoli and the zucchini arancini. Great drinks also and great service. Can't ask for much more... Will definitely be back
I knew it was going to be great right from the initial call speaking with Peter making reservations
We had family visiting from South Africa. Everything was outstanding. Our server was knowledgeable about the wines. He was always right there, and food came out timed well all hot. Excellent. Thank you.
Amazing culinary experience with down to earth and friendly staff - sit at the counter if you can because the chefs will prepare in front of you and talk about the dishes!
Great waiter , excellent service . Loved appetizers, however main dishes are small and pasta was not good
The pork chop with veggies was excellent. Looking forward to going back and ordering again.
Kevin greeted us with 2 glasses of champagne for our anniversary and pleasantly surprised us . Our first time at Puritan which we found out from restaurant week . They were flexible to replace the entree with a vegetarian meal for me which was tasty delicious and plentiful the only thing was that I wished it had more vegetable than white beans ( which was a lot and a little uncooked) everything else we had polenta beet bisq sirloin steak and the desserts were amazing
We will love to go back and try the regular menu with great vegetarian choices
Food was delicious, but service was weird. Our main server was way too aggressive about us ordering, and had odd mannerisms. We had two other servers throughout the night though, and they were lovely.
Great spot, great food
The food was tasty, the bar had a great selection and the bartender was very knowledgeable. The ambiance was just what I was hoping for, warm and casual. I’ll be back.
Try the barbecue beets! They're the strangest and most delicious thing you will ever taste.
A birthday celebration.
Appetizers were delicious especially the mushroom lasagna.
Dinner took a bit longer but waiter was awesome..
Rolls are great.. Cod and salmon dishes were good.
The chocolate mousse and toffee selections were delicious deserts.. Coffee is great too..
Everyone there was very friendly and helpful.
Will go back soon.
You are our favorite restaurant in Boston/Cambridge and our neigborhood. Having you just around the corner from our Cambridge condo allows perfection in dining. We promised ourselves Sunday night on the walk back home that we'd work hard to visit you once a month.
Cheers on cheers,

The food was delicious very unique flavors and just the right portion size. It’s clear everyone here is well trained in service. Staff was well attentive to customers very impressive.
Everything was fabulous. The noise level is the only issue but we always enjoy our time at Puritan.
Everything was delicious. Very good food and service. The truffle burrata was amazing and the dessert too.
One of our best date nights of the year! We shared the crab toast, which was phenomenally flavorful. Then we each had different fish entrees which we traded back and forth because they had such creative and explosive tastes as well. Our server Warren was knowledgeable and helpful with both the wine and craft beer selections. They have good choices in each, and unusual options compared to what you usually see, with high quality vintages and pours at reasonable prices. In addition, the servers team to make sure that everyone is happy and that your food is served as soon as it and you are ready. The atmosphere is warm and cozy and the music playlist is an eclectic mix at a volume that allows for quiet conversation. A great find!
Great/amazing food, low energy vibe though
Stylish, elongated space with a nod to modern farmhouse flare. Superb service with attention to detail. Food selection reflects local, American favorites with an attention to unique preparation on tried and true favorites like salmon or lamb. Wine selection is suitable for a sophisticated pallet; though the cocktails are fun and tasty, they are definitely on the skimpy size with a glass half full concept. Would definitely recommend to friends.
amazing!! everything is delicious!
We had the tasting menu and were not disappointed. Very creative, delicious offerings. Superb service.
Everything was delicious and our service was excellent. A bit noisy. And I prefer a martini in an actual martini glass (not a highball) but the martini was delicious regardless of the glassware. We will be back for sure.
Puritan is classy, homey, amazing food. The noise level is a little high if you want to have an intimate conversation. Loved the sommelier.
Noise level was high, also we were six at a table that was near entrance and waiters kept bumping into me as I was seated at the end. That table should have been left for four/five without the sixth chair, not enough room.
Amazing Valentine’s Day dinner! Phenomenal service. Mouth watering food. Always love coming here
Great atmosphere, very nice and modern decoration, and great food, good products perfectly cooked. I warmly recommend!
All good: server engaging and informative, servings larger than I remembered, creative comfort food.
Very good food. Potato gnocchi is delicious!
Great food - like the fact that there are no tv’s. Cocktails tasted great but they don’t go heavy on the garnish (but I guess that is why it’s called Puritan & Company!).
Never a disappointment!
Not one bite was left of my broccoli and cheddar scramble. Was with a newbie and he loved it! Great place for a date!
We went on a busy Sunday for brunch. Party of 5, one with a nut allergy. They took the allergy very seriously and had plenty of menu items and bakery goods that were safe for him. Our first visit...we will definitely be back!
I don't mind taking my time at dinner, but this was slow. My wife and I were out for a date night, and upon sitting down, it took a lot longer than normal for a server to come by and grab our order. He was not particularly knowledgeable on the drink list other than to recite what was written. We ordered some wine and a cocktail, then a half dozen oysters. This was the highlight of the night. The salsa verde sauce for the oysters was a new touch, but it was delicious. We then ordered a few things to share - the cod, a king crab toast, and the steamed clams. The clams were rubbery, would not get them again. The king crab toast was cold (if intentional, it didnt feel right) and had flavors that just did not seem to go together, but the cod was well cooked and pretty tasty. The downside was that it took a LONG time to get these dishes out to us. We probably won't be back again.
Delicious food, excellent service, the perfect place to grab a bite and a drink during any season. 100% recommend! Their bread rolls are some of the most delicious baked goods I've ever had.
Great food, great team and awesome wine selection. It is know my top spot to eat out in Boston.
