The waiter didn’t check on us much so we were sitting without drinks at times and the restaurant wasn’t even busy to the point where I could excuse it. The bellini’s were not great and the food was not filling, so I was still hungry after my meal. Also, they slyly charged us for an entire extra meal when there was only two people at the table total. I will never eat here again!

Punch has been my go-to neighborhood place for years. I used to go more often. It's become more of a sports bar now with lots of monitors and because I go on off hours, I get great food, great service and low noise levels. During busier hours, it does get a little hard to have a conversation. But I love the place.

Not impressed. I specifically booked a seated table, when given the option of bar or high-top. When we arrived they tried to tell us that there wasn't anything available. What's the point of making a reservation for a specific table, then?

Our server was inattentive, and we had to flag him down several times to get drinks, and then to order. No one ever checked on us during our meal. The food itself was good, but nothing spectacular.

Then, even though we were just 3 people, they automatically added 20% gratuity. Not what I would have tipped, and since when do you automatically add that for a table of 3?

Unfortunate, since I wanted to like this place.

They only had one waitress for 13 people, I asked about 4 times for fries and she forgot and bought me a free shot instead. Other people had similar experiences with their orders forgotten. Mediterranean plate and many entrees were disappointing but fries were amazing. Bellini was good and my friends enjoyed their drinks as well. We just think we should have had more than one wait staff for such a large party

Food was fantastic, waiter hovered a little bit at the beginning and served us a drink that had lipstick on the glass, and charged us for the second drink that was untouched. Overall, a great experience, would go back again but will definitely be checking our glasses and dishes more closely.

I hadn't been at Punch in years but remember it as having tablecloths and a nice lunch menu.
Sadly it's now just a bar with big screen tv's around the room and a laminated menu with bar food. Had a BLT for $14.00 & it would have been better in a coffee shop.
Very embarassing to have recommended this restaurant for lunch get together with out of town friends.

As rated, the service was great. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. I liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. And the bottomless brunch drinks for $20 were a wonderful deal (not to mention the mimosas themselves had the right OJ:champagne ratio!). That's the good. The bad is really just with the food. Nothing terrible, but nothing great. Of the 4 meals my group ordered, 1 was disliked, and 3 were meh. The execution of the meals didn't live up to my expectations from reading the menu. For the price, it was a decent brunch option, but I wouldn't return with so many other options around.

I'd surely recommend this place for party of two...who can sit up front by the windows. We were a party of 3 and I didn't really enjoy the ambiance. We were seated right near the kitchen door. There was plenty of space elsewhere ...but, we didn't ask to sit in a cuter place. We were famished! Punch is cute but it really needs to rethink its seating plans. It's too tacky to have tables by the kitchen door, in my opinion.

Dinner was great. Everything tastes fresh and was perfectly seasoned. We was served by Rebecca who was nice, but a little pushy towards the end because we were her last patrons of her shift.

I would definitely return here.

Punch has been around for quite a while and is one of the great mainstays of the Gramercy/Flatiron area. Always reliable, always good, I always enjoy going there. And I dined at Punch on a Monday night so the noise level was low.

The restaurant was not as advertised. I expected a chef driven menu (Shoemaker) and a trendy interior. It was a sports bar with TVs everywhere and a laminated menu card. The guacamole was good but nothing else.

Moderate weekend brunch (early afternoon) crowd. DJ music was very loud. Lots of sports on the many TV's. Service was decently attentive and the bartender waiting on us at a table from behind the bar got my order wrong. Food was good though as were the brunch cocktails. $34 brunch (choose any entrée and unlimited brunch cocktails for 90 minutes) is a really good value if you plan on having a couple of drinks or more.

I used to love this place. The food was good and it was reasonably priced and a pleasant room. I hadn't been there in a while and it's changed quite a bit. There are big TV screens all around now and the menu is a single laminated sheet. Feels more like a sports bar. Seemed less clean and more run down. Service was not great. I won't be going back.

The staff wasn't quite available. So you spend a great deal of time waiting to order.. waiting to be served... waiting to make request... waiting for the check... They also served me spoiled milk with my coffee... The DJ for Brunch was awesome..

Punch is a good neighborhood bar with reasonably priced food and drinks. Although it's much more a sports bar (with a dozen tv's with soccer playing) than a restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised. Our waiter (Hilario) was attentive and efficient and we had a Cobb salad and grilled chicken on a bed of risotto - both were delicious. Certainly nothing fancy but a great place for a drink and a bite to eat. We'll go again.

Punch was great the last two times I went, a long time ago. This is the first time I've been to Punch in a very long time, and it will be the last. Besides it being empty at lunch time with TVs on everywhere, the food was terrible. The Mediterranean Plate was weak and uninspired, the hummus thin and tasteless, the lentils dry and old looking, there was tortilla chips, why? And most of these chips were cracked pieces, why bother. The pita was warm and nice, and too few. Cobb Salad had a very few pieces of romaine and an over abundance of some bitter twiggy green. I should have asked what it was because i just looked through countess googles images and couldn't find it. There was barely any blue cheese so I asked for more and that helped cut the bitterness. The best part of the meal was desert, scoop each of black cherry sorbet, vanilla bean, salty caramel ice cream -these were delicious. Our waitress was fine. I don't understand what happened to this place. It made me sad and I will never go back. Luckily my client picked the place otherwise I would have been very embarrassed.

Went for a late lunch for a co-worker's birthday. We both had pasta dishes. My mushroom ravioli was the perfect size. It was delicious. My co-worker enjoy the pappardelle with a glass of Malbec. It met his expectations. The service was good- not hurried or too slow. All in all it was a good experience.

Horrible service. The restaurant was not air conditioned on a 90 degree evening and we couldn't wait to get out of there. We asked several times if they can put the AC on but they said it is on but since the doors were open in front, it is affecting the AC. Well, for the sale of everyone else in the restaurant, except for the ONE table by the open door, close the door and regulate the AC.
Cheese plate was $16 and was 1 small slice of each cheese that they cut from a block from the supermarket. Entrees were just ok.

I just love coming here. I think it's the best brunch spot around. $35 bottomless brunch and the options are great! The staff is always amazing, food is always great. Music is always fun! Honestly, out don't get the pretentious brunch crowd and it's laid back but you still have amazing food! Can't recommend it enough!!

I wanted to go somewhere for a decently priced bottomless brunch in the city - and this was it! I enjoyed the variety of brunch options. The drinks had a punch (see what I did there?!) and the ambiance was lively without being fratty. I would return.
