I feel like PBS has been a little bit too hyped up, so my expectations were rather high. The place is fun and there's lots to do. The food good, but not wonderful, somethings are definitely better than others. Our wait staff was friendly but when it came to special orders like "is the bun toasted, if not can it be" was met with "not sure if it's toasted and I can try and put it in that way, but the kitchen frowns on special requests". May go back again but for drinks and ambiance.
The OMFG fried chicken was the smallest saddest chicken ever seen. Our table was never cleared. Punches were a bitter. The one saving grace was the knockout burger that replaced the wimpy chicken.
I ordered carnitas on a salad and it was incredibly salty. I couldn’t eat but a few bites. The kids’ food was good and it’s always nice having entertainment for them (the arcade, etc). My husband’s burger was also very salty, although not inedible. We won’t be going back any time soon, unfortunately.
So less impressed this visit than the last couple times. Food was not what I expected (very small portion for $11) and the noise was off the radar . It was hard to chat with friends. Not sure if I will go back anytime soon.
Service was horrible, I had to ask for a drink 3 times, took 30 minutes to get it. Everyone at the table couldn’t get a drink in a decent amount of time. Our servers switched in the middle of dinner and no one checked on us. Had to have manager serve our drinks... awful. The one downtown is far better then one in Stapleton and that one is 100x busier. Frustrating 👎🏼
this was my first time at the punch bowl social Stapleton! So much fun, will definitely be back for brunch and later in the evening to enjoy the festitives outside with the nice weather outside
My wife and I had a dinner date with friends. The restaurant is very clean and has a nice atmosphere. The service was great. I was not happy with the food. I had a simple burger with fries and I didn't like the flavor of the beef. I felt the prices were a little too high.
Tacos were good. Fried Chicken was dry. Nachos were just ok. Service was great. There was a private party, so couldn’t use the bowling alley. Will try again.
I really enjoyed Punch Bowl. It was my first time visiting one. The menu was full of different options. Not huge but there were choices at the same time. Very unique. I had the Chicken & Waffles and the nachos. Different and tasty spins on both. They made me a special strawberry margarita because they only have regular ones. My fiancé got a regular one. Tasted good but REALLY small for $8.50 and way more ice than drink. The ambiance was cool with bowling alleys, foosball, ping pong and such. It screamed fun! We only played a little foosball though. Decor was very cool with a fun and industrial design. Since it is in the old Stapleton air traffic control station, there was homeage paid to the old airport. Sucks you can’t go up the tower though. That would be a cool experience. Overall, a fun place for date night or family night with good food and fun stuff to do! A nice addition to the Stapleton neighborhood.
Bowling followed by food- all fun!
Basically this is a bar/bowling alley with good-great food. Very loud. Service is hit or miss. My last visit was a miss. Saw the server 3 times:to order, bring the check, and pick up the check. I ordered the burger and fries. Wanted the fries extra crispy and no pickled onions on the burger. Fries were limp and the burger had pickled onions
We had a birthday party and the tweens/teens had a great time.
Great food and drinks, as usual. The service on this trip was awful though. It took 2.5 hours t get through one round of drinks, lunch and dessert.
Reserved seating for upstairs got seated down. Waited 25 min. For drinks, drink ticket lost. Talked to mgr waitress comped first round and added an appetizer. After that the service was good.
Arrived early for our res. Blond hostess & a server ignored us for 7 minutes while futzing w/menus. No "hello". Just ignored us. Finally seated. Waited 10 minutes for 1 canned beer, 1 draft beer, 1 cocktail while bartender (w/only 2 guests at bar) leisurely polished glassware.
Ordered $15 nachos; 18 chips, 3 jalapeno slices, 2 tablespoons cream cheese, 1/4 cup carnitas. $15!
Server didn't know which pieces were on fried chicken plate! Then guessed "2 breasts & a wing". Nope; 1 breast, 1 thigh, & 1 leg. Chicken was moist, but pathetic & flavorless because it hadn't been seasoned. No trace of salt, pepper, etc to enhance flavor. Chicken came with an execrable side of cherry tomatoes & sliced jalapenos.
$19 lobster roll was ok cuz it's just a hot dog bun w/lobster and mayo.
French fries were possibly the worst French fries in all of America! They were house-cut fries & managed to be both limp & burnt. I imagine the chef was yelling "Keep frying them til they crisp up OR turn black! And then leave them on the pass! I want these fries served COLD!"
Cubano's bread was burnt & tough. The carnitas had for some reason been pulverized & w/only 2 limp pickle slices to balance the meat mush & the hardtack bread, it was like eating a babyfood sandwich.
The highlight of the meal was being seated next to the kitchen's entrance so we could watch the plates being put up on the pass from the hot kitchen to another large, bear-like chef with a 12 inch long reddish beard. Don't know what his job was, but on one occasion, he did drag his beard across someone's plate of food. Get a beard net, dude. smh
Pricey evening to entertain teenagers.... too bad because this would be a fun place for them to go.
Food and service was great, however, paid $63 to bowl. Lane broke down twice and out time limit ran out before we got to the 9th frame of our first game. Bowling was a RIPOFF!
My visit was enjoyable and my food was good however the two friends with me didn't have sane experience. They couldn't finish there food because what was ordered wasn't good. We did gi bowling and had a great time. The variety of games offered was just enough. The atmosphere and location was great and our server was really nice - unfortunately the food was the turn off.
Didn’t know what we were getting into, but being new to the area wanted to try it. Next time we will sit on the interior near the kitchen versus by the arcade and bowling lanes, very noise. Service was good and the food was good, the only issue both my wife and I had was the coffee. Either very old or just not what we are used to drinking.
Don't spend your time and money here. It is 100% not worth it. Food and drink were over priced. Worse is the service.
Great place to unplug & play! Very attentive staff. Incredible fresh food! Unique spaces to fit your every ocassion.
When myself and my friends originally got to the restaurant we had a different server about 15 minutes and us being there the service did a switch shift and we got a new server by the name of Jeremy. However Jeremy looked at me several times and did not come and greet our table for nearly 20 minutes and the only reason we were greeted is because we asked another server if he can get our server to assist us. He was very rude you could tell he didn't want to serve us. The service became so bad or should I say non existent to the point where we had to go to the bar upstairs to get drinks. I don't recall him smiling once till it was time to give us our bill. Very disappointing wish the original server could of stayed on he was great. Other wise Food was great drinks were good music even better.
Wasn’t sure what to expect but heard so many great reviews. Was told the chicken was the best. Order it and let’s say, for the cost they minimal pieces and it was dry it wasn’t worth the money. Good thing I had a gift card. Ordered a dessert to go. It was dry as well. Not sure who the chef is behind the place but the food wouldn’t make it if a real chef was tasting it.
Lots of fun! Relaxing! Great food.
This was my first time going to the Stapleton location and it was nice. I had the Chicken & Waffle and it was delicious. The Watermelon cocktail was also very good. My server was Erin and she was great; very helpful with it being my first time. Although I did not play any games while there, I was impressed by the activities they had. I will definitely be back and next time will bring my family.
Drinks were small and expensive with limited variety to choose from.
My first time visiting a Punch Bowl Social. Food was ok and the drinks were good but a bit pricey. The space is a bit small and wasn't able to play any of the games with my date, mostly due to the upstairs area closed for a private party. Probably would go back on a weekday evening when its less crowded.
Our waitress was fabulous, very attentive and the food was excellent!
We had a great time the energy was lively and the service was great!
Fun place for a younger crowd...most of our party are seniors...would not be too much fun on evenings or weekends for our group... probably too noisy..but will visit again during lunch time
Punch bowl social is a vibrant fun space. Because there are enthusiastic bowlers and gamers through out the space, it's vibrant. The food is better than bowling alley food, though not quite for foodies. There are a few vegetarian options, too.
We enjoyed the food .. We went during a slow period - the waiter was rude - did not check on our drinks/ food and was rude when we asked about them
He acted like getting me salt and checking on my drink was an imposition - We did not tip him due to his attitude.... perhaps you could let him know we are customers and it might be good to be pleasant to us!
PBS is a fun venue and the food is great. I would have given service more stars but we were ignored for a full 25 minutes on a busy Saturday after being seated. I was ready to leave but my son was hungry and asked to stay. I flagged down a waitress who brought over a manager and we were well tended to thereafter. Manager kept calling me "mom" for all subsequent check ins. Not sure how he knew since I wasn't wearing my mom jeans that night. Eyeball roll.
Great place for a birthday or gathering with friends. Fun but loud
Loved the space and service! The fried chicken was dry, but maybe it was just off this time?
It was annoying how you had to pay for everything. Each activity was $10/hr including foosball, Scrabble, shuffle board.
The food and service was spectacular. Definitely would go again with my crew.
I took my 2 year old niece to breakfast and the brunch menu is very limited, I ended up eating more of her kids meal than I ate of my own food.
Our server, was amazing. She and the kitchen staff were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions beautifully and willingly to produce a wonderfully tasting meal. The atmosphere is perfect for a girl's lunch or dinner. I love that this place is in our neighborhood. I will be a regular for sure!
I wanted to love this place but I feel like they could have done so much more with it. With a large tower you would think you could go up and get a great view, nope. Stops at the 2nd floor and the windows are tiny, I really wish they had a deck high up with a view or at least large windows to look out from.
This is probably a one and done type of place for us.
