Food was great. We ordered wings, mediterranean salad, tacos. All was great----except the guacamole is packaged and pre-made, not fresh. It has that nasty preservative aftertaste that all pre-made guacs have. Next time we just won't pay the extra surcharge for the guacamole. Server was EXCELLENT. We bowled after dinner on a lane upstairs. The bowling was terrible. We are occasional bowlers at best, so our standards are not high. But the lanes were not polished and they were bumpy, so there was absolutely NO way to bowl a decent game. At one time ALL of the balls were stuck where the pins are. We had to wait probably 20 minutes for someone to crawl behind and get the balls out. We will go back and try some of the other activities----maybe check out the bowling on the ground level. DO NOT BOWL UPSTAIRS.

We went late on a Sunday, so the kitchen was about to close. I would recommend getting in earlier during the week so that you have the opportunity to try all of their food, like their famous wings that we missed out on. But the service was good and the best part is you get to play games after!

Celebrated my 50th birthday with friends and had a great time, only issue was the wait time for bowling. They need to have a second person helping out, it was a thursday and it took forever for only one person to check in, charge, give out shoe rental and input names of player into computer, specially for large parties... i can't imagine how much time it would take during the weekend.

Went to celebrate my birthday. Wish the menu had a few more options but overall it was good. The carnitas tacos were really good. The fries that came with the burger were a hit. Only issue was really with the reservation with Open Table. I needed to drop my son’s car off due to engine troubles and was trying to push the reservation back by at least a half hour. When I tried a few different times it kept saying there was nothing available. We rushed to make it thinking they were booked solid only to show up to an empty dining room. I didn’t see anyone else gets seated for the hour and a half it took us to eat before our bowling lane was available.

We went on a holiday weekend with our boys and their friend. There were very few people there. The food and shakes were yummy. We only spent a few hours there. We played foos ball, darts, and bowling. We could have stayed longer but had somewhere to be. We will definitely go back.

Make sure you reserve any of the games you want to use before you get there . And ask if the game room has been fully reserved before you make reservations. The punch bowls are weak

Server waited for us to call him numerous amount of time and he didn't swing by often to ask anything additional. He was great but I would've aimed for a little more attentiveness. Bowling was great. Some issues but lady came over in timely manner and switched us over.

Great concept. Ordered the Shrimp Burger and it was meh. French Fries are really good. Waiter for food service was excellent, but no one came around to check in on us upstairs when we were bowling. We had to go find someone to get us drinks. I recommend having someone walking around and checking in on groups.

So much fun! I always have a great time at Punch Bowl! It was exciting to celebrate the New Year here with a balloon drop, drinks, food and friends. A lot of fun. Far enough away from the club scene, but lively enough to keep us going until midnight!

It was super fun, and staff was very friendly. The food portions were pretty small for the price, and the taste was decent, but not spectacular. I would go there again because of the entertainment, not necessarily for the food.

Took my daughter and her friends to celebrate her 12th birthday. The girls had a lot of fun playing games and singing karaoke. Everything was good except for the food. The girls ordered the chicken tacos and said it looked like Taco Bell. My shrimp burger was not any better. Drinks and desserts were good, but the food fell short.

Party of six on 12/14/2019 at 6:00 PM. Made reservations two weeks ago through OpenTable. Restaurant phoned me directly to confirm we would still be arriving.

All bowling, games, darts, etc. we’re not accessible until 10:00 PM based on a portion of the restaurant being rented out for an event, perhaps a holiday dinner?

Apparently this was posted on their website, but not notified to any open table reservation holders and they did not notify me of this when they personally called me to verify our party would still be attending.

Our group of six was hoping to go bowling after dinner or have a little extra fun, but we ended up leaving the restaurant as we did not want to wait another couple of hours or come back later.

However, I can say for the time that we were there the cocktails were delicious, everyone’s food was delicious, and The majority of us ordered desserts which were fabulous.

It was a high energetic sound, we got seated near a door to the outside so a little chilly December breeze kept blowing over the table but it actually made it feel good and comfortable since so many people inside were generating heat.

The service was above average but not great. Our chips and guacamole appetizer was forgotten about and we had to ask for it. We had to ask for dirty dishes to be cleared from the table before receiving dessert.

Anyway, it was crowded that night. Perhaps they were short staffed? I’ve been here before and have had no complaints and I will definitely return. The snafus this evening Will not push me away.

Street parking, no parking lot. Across the block from the San Diego Police Department and two blocks south of San Diego City College.

What to order? Really… Anything. The chicken and waffles are to die for, the guacamole is very good with big chunks of

Very fun venue.... chose location so young grandson could play games. Sunday late afternoon is a good time to visit. Server Ashley was great.... very helpful and accommodating. Enjoyed food we ordered. Adult daughter does work for bars and restaurants. She liked the venue and lay out. Look forward to our next visit.

Been several times and very mediocre food. Lacks flavor and finesse. TVs are annoying and unnecessary, this is not a sports bar but a "social club". Karaoke is now overpriced and always a long wait for it and bowling even when the place is dead. We will not come back for a while.

We were celebrating my son's 23rd birthday. Started with appetizers, cocktails and dinner. All were very good. Items ordered were crab Rangoon, shrimp tacos, chicken and waffles, salad, watermelon cocktail and the banana cocktail with mezcal. We brought our own birthday cake and the servers brought out cutting utensil and plates for us. Very nice and accommodating. After dinner we went up and played a game of bowling. The bowling is a bit over priced and the lanes are not really smooth. It's not a real bowling alley with oiled lanes, it's more for fun and we did have plenty of that. :)

We had a great time at Punchbowl Social. I enjoyed the mushroom, biscuits, and gravy and the monkey bread. We shared a watermelon punch bowl and it was tasty. We also tried the bowling which was fun. They could easily accommodate our group of 6 as the place is huge and wasn't super busy on a Sunday. This is a place I love to bring big groups or visitors from out of town.

12:00 PM on a Thursday - plenty of space available, ample staff. Street parking so bring coins/credit card for a parking meter.

French Dip sandwich with rosemary fries, au jus and horseradish was ample, a little skimpy on the amount of meat for the size of the soft baguette but the taste was the bomb.

Chicken and waffles - yes, yes, yes! Two breaded chicken breasts that are very good sized, beautiful crispy on the outside/soft on the inside Belgian waffle with syrup already drizzled, and an extra bottle of syrup just in case. This is the best chicken and waffles that I've had in San Diego, and dine out on average of 4x/week.

Grab your sweetheart or your big group of friends. This place is so much fun. The perfect warehouse feel for a spacious bowling alley, darts area, board games, and so much more.

The center bar area has plenty of seating but is popular to sit at, so if you want a seat, get there early (recommendation based on my past visits to Punch Bowl Social).
