Great place to have a birthday party
One of the worst experiences I have ever had in a restaurant. None of the food orders were right! The food was cold, they brought our food out before our appetizers, they got upset when we didn’t want the appetizers anymore because our food was already there. The drinks arrived at the table when the food arrived, one of the drinks arrived in a broken glass! The waitress got upset when we told her we didn’t want it because it was broken! Not once did the manager approach us to communicate or apologize about everything that was happening. There was a private event going on so there were no bowling and no karaoke the 2 main staples on a Saturday evening ..it was a disaster from beginning to end and I would never recomend this place to anyone else
A delightful place in the East village. Lots of different things on the menu to choose from, skee ball and bowling.
The chicken sandwich had so much Rosemary on it that all you could taste was the Rosemary....pretty disappointed.
was the perfect choice for my son's 22nd birthday. a good time was had by all
We weren’t told when we made the reservation that there was a private event going on and everything was taken up except the dining area and the tiny arcade area that was so packed because it was the only option available. So from the time we got there until we left we could do nothing but sit at the table. When I asked if we could get up to go to the arcade area I was told that if we left the table our check had to be closed and we would lose our table. My wife was super disappointed because this was a date night we had planned before she deploys. If I would have known there was an event I would have went at a different time or the next day. The food was mediocre, I got the Alabama chicken sandwich and my wife got the chicken and waffles. The chicken on both meals was so over cooked it was dry and hard to eat. Neither one of us had more than two bites. The house made pickles and sheet nachos were the best things we had while there. I would come back again because I’ve had a good experience before but was just disappointed this time.
I had called at 9:30pm in Friday night to see if they had any events going on Saturday. The girl told me that there were no events scheduled . We wanted to bowl and then eat dinner . We even arrived there early. Only to find out that the lanes were closed as there were 3 events going on. Total disappointment . I would not have driven all the way to downtown had I known this . It was a surprise for my sons birthday and it was a total bust.
Will never go there again. Not worth the drive or the service .
And we didn’t take any photos . Since we had other guests with us we just ate n left . Embarrassing moment as I told them we would bowl.
The food and activities are excellent, but it’s so busy there be prepared to wait 30 minutes for food and paid activities.
The server was cool! Not his fault they gave us a table for 4 for our party of 6. The hostess that sat us told us immediately that our table was too small for our reservation. She said she could put our name on a wait list for a bigger table or we could look for open sitting on a first come first serve basis. We put our name on the list. We never heard from her again. The food came out either bland or WAY over salted. Would not return.
Punch bowl social was awesome!! The dinner was great and all the fun adult activities afterwards was a really good time! I would recommend punch bowl social!!!
So fun! So many things to do!!
Cool concept where there is a bowling alley, darts, ping pong and other arcade games. You can also check out board or card games to play at the table. The chicken and waffles were really good. The specialty cocktails were unique and tasty. Although, the Mac and cheese was way too watery. I asked if that was the consistency they were going for and apparently so. The reply was it was made with cream, so that's why is watery.
Came on a weeknight. Servers changed midway through. 2nd server completely forgot about a beer we ordered & was very inattentive. Very odd considering there were only 2 tables in total dining including ours. Very disappointing. Also 1st server said he would split the check & put certain items on my bill. 2nd server totally dropped the ball and didn’t follow through. Really unfortunate.
I felt that the service and food was lacking especially for how expensive it was. I tried a bite of 5 different dinner dishes and nothing stood out. I would highly recommend avoiding this place if you are hungry.
Drinks were ok. Prices were standard for downtown however the wait time for our drinks was too long. I feel they must have been short staffed.
Had such a great time! We were able to celebrate and have a great time together. Dinner, drinks, and fun! Can not go wrong choosing this place!
Fun atmosphere with the games and bowling lanes. Service at the bar was a bit slow, but we didn’t mind waiting.
Server was neither here nor there and did not have a welcoming approach. We were a party of 8, ordered an appetizer platter, two punch bowls, individual entrees and dessert. Friend’s soup and coffee were not the expected ‘hot temperature’ you’d expect - on the barely warm side. She barely had any chicken in her chicken tortilla soup and sent it back. Chilaquiles and brisket enchiladas were so spicy that it was all we could taste, and I do not recall the menu description saying that it would be so spicy. I took maybe three bites of it. Friend’s fries were super salty. Appetizer platter and biscuits were good. Punchbowls were good but nobody in our group had even a little bit of a buzz even after having four cups of punch. I could maybe give that a pass if I thought the service was good but we felt rushed and there clearly was a lack of attention. Also a little too loud in there. Not sure I’d be back but I can appreciate the concept and the atmosphere - would just rather spend my money on good food and service.
Great space! Games are scattered throughout the venue. We had a table of 7, and service was terrible. The worst was seeing the servers gathered at the end of the bar, socializing. Drinks were served piecemeal, it took 40 minutes for my son to get a root beer, eventually it was served after he was almost done with meal. I would go back to play games and maybe a bar snack but wouldn't reserve a table for dining again.
The hostess was super accommodating for our large group. Great food and so many games!
Terrible service. Part of our group had to wait up to 20 min for food after the other part of the group got their food for a group of 6. Then when it came out the food was cold. Meh. Too many other good restaurants to go to before wasting your time and money here.
Came here for my birthday and was NOT impressed with the Service at all. It took forever to get out food and drinks. The food was hit and miss. Not everyone liked their food and the prices for appetizers seem overpriced.
The food was wonderful at a great value. The service was attentive and sincerly concerned about my diet preferences. The lack of experience in serving showed. There were four of us. My order was raken( re: diet restrictions) and then delivered before the others had ordered. Small oversight but, not ideal when youre eating with a small group.
This is a great spot. We had fun at the end of the day however, it was a Saturday night and they were very understaffed. They ran out of clean cups to serve drinks Dj those took forever. Management stepped in and helped take care of us do we were grateful for that. I’d go again and expect a better experience. I still recommend this spot. I hope this was just a glitch,
A party of 5. Waiter service was excellent the problem occured at the bowling alley. The lane kept shutting down then after multiple delays, the lane supervisor closed our lane and asked if wanted a refund. When we agreed then the supervisor wanted to charge us for 3/4 as he claimed that we played over half the time limit. What a joke as he really wanted to charge us when we couldn’t even complete the game! All for a $21 charge after we spent nearly $250 on food and drinks that night. We refused and then he just said “ok”. How about we are sorry for the inconvenience and here is a complete refund and please come see us again in the future......maybe a better response???
Good place for a birthday or happy hour. The menu could have more choices but all around great experience. I'll be back.p
Unfortunately our service wasn’t that great, very slow! The last time she brought us water the bottle it was in was hot! They were out of punch for their signature drinks, the milkshake machine was not working. One of the entrees Brisket Chili was brought to the table with no sauce and it was cold. Super fun place with all the games but unfortunately our server was not great and the food was a disappointment!
Service and food were great! Lots of fun things to do.
Our waiter was really mediocre. We had to flag him down a lot when we needed something.
Service was not as great as the last two times I have been.
My friend and I swung by to grab a quick bite before Jazz Live at City College. We were not impressed. For one the place is cavernous and too loud for conversation. We did not sample the menu extensively. Friend said corn salad was good. My green salad was nothing to write home about. MOST annoying—six times in 45 minutes various people came by to ask if everything was OK. Sheesh!! I appreciate the server checking in once and then keeping mg an eye on us, but 6 interruptions to at least 4 too many.
It was loud because of the bowling, the food was not that good, it wasn’t seasoned well. Not my cup of tea, but enjoyable for a younger crowd.
Loved the atmosphere but the food was terrible. None of the dishes my friends and I ordered were correct and the food just had no flavor. We all ordered different items and even a basic onion ring wasn’t fully cooked. The drinks were great, the environment fun, but I’ll never go back and attempt to order food. I could have made better at home!
Easy location and freeway access. Service was great. Brunch menu was average but rest of the menu was great. a good place to hangout with friends and family.
We probably overstayed our stay but the staff was awesome and knowing that we all were having fun. The yummy drinks didn’t hurt either. Great place, amazing atmosphere and welcoming ambiance all-around!
I enjoyed seeing this fantastic new place. The wait for bowling was two hours. Our waiter Jeff was fantastic. The food was OK. But I definitely recommend the corn salad. The noise level was very very loud. For the younger crowd this is the place to be.
Punch Bowl - such a cool and needed space/concept. Great theme, design and layout. Encouraging you to elevate and sophisticate your food/service experience. San Diego needs you but your chips (tortilla) are embarrassing as was our waitress (other staff members were very friendly). Will happily give another try.
The venue was very nice. The staff was super kind and accommodating. A nice employee even stopped by to check on our experience, yes I will always add salt to my margarita it was excellent! Thank you very much. My friends and I did leave though because we couldn't hear each other talk.
So so so loud in the dining area
First time here. Amazing looking place really large space. Great over all decor. I was very pleased with the selection of non alcoholic cocktails. The food was tasty. The place is loud, but I feel that’s kind of the point. Definitely the place to go with a group of friends.
