Fun environment along with good bar and food.
There were people literally screaming while playing at the game right next to where they sat my table we were also told that our lane for bowling would be available at 9:15 and it didn’t actually open up until 10 so we left because the other activities were also all booked
Brenda was the hostess and welcomed us with great energy ! Joey was our waiter and he was so helpful and cool. The food was also really good and can’t wait to recommend this spot to our friends who visit Sacramento
If you're looking for an energetic bar scene with a lot of extra things to do such as karaoke, this is the place. It kind of reminds me of the old "san jose live" scene - those in the know would know....Anyways, the bummer was that they ran out of Chicken and Waffles by 8pm! I was bummed. So I went with a burger. Which was good but would have liked to have tried something different. I would recommend this place as a fun group experience. There were 6 of us ladies having dinner before the Blake concert. Perfect location for dinner before concert. Be wary, it is very loud and very lively!
Great service on a super busy night. We love punchbowl, it’s perfect for eating before any downtown event.
Awful service. We had a reservation for 5:00 the girl told us just a few minutes. A lady came in with a 5:15 reservation and got seated right away! She then came back and told me her manager doesn’t want them over crowding their servers so we would have to wait another 10 minutes. I asked her why someone with a later reservation got seated before me and she just said oh sorry.... and gave no explanation. Then we order drinks and ten minutes later order food. Food comes out and still no drinks for 15 minutes after that. Awful experience but the food was good.
Food was good but the service and drinks were slow
The taste in food helped with the inconsistent service. We had our app out earlier than our drinks, then waited an absurd amount of time for our entrees (tacos and a sandwich). Every time the waitress came to our table it seem to always start with an “I’m sorry for “insert variable here” and”. But the games we played afterward were fun!
Would be good to have more experienced staff on event days or more staff on the floor to help out when needed.
The food and ambiance is definitely set up to have a 5 star rating but without the service...it won’t ever get that 5 star rating.
The service was the worse. The waiter totally forgot to get our drinks. The food arrived by a runner. And we told him. 10 minutes later we got our drinks.
Overpriced, 2 hamburgers, 5 drinks, one appetizer, $96. Drinks small and watery. Service good. Wont be back.
Fast service very attentive and food and drinks were amazing!!
Service in game areas is poor. Table not bussed, had to ask server to come over after 1 hour.
You need a more selection of appetizers. Selections are very limited.
We were there with my grandson for the Disney on Ice. The service was the best we have ever had.
We went for Sunday brunch prior to Disney on Ice with our kids. There were lots of games and activities for the kids (and adults), and the food was good but the service was lacking. Our waitress forgot to put in my youngest son's food order, and it came out as the other kids were finished eating. She also took awhile to deliver the check.
The waitress, Katie was great. I asked not to be seated next to a door and we were directly seated in front of...drumroll...a DOOR lol! The drinks (lavender sour - tastes like lemon chemical cleaner, el Diablo - nice pepper finish, finally opted for a regular mule but that was watered down - asked for a canned Rose at this point because well...we struck out with the others grossly...and they brought me a regular rose in a glass ?). The grain bowl was undercooked and lacked contrasting flavor, the recommended cocoa dusted carnitas were awful, but the wings and guacamole did not disappoint. I feel like this is a lot of mixed bag and hype for the value. Overall it was just meh and might make senSe if meeting friends and doing the whole play games experience. We came for Valentine’s Day and decided it isn’t a great locale for dinner or date night.
The food and ambiance were great! We had a vegetarian and gluten free member of our large party and everyone was able to accommodated. The atmosphere was fun, I can't wait to get back here.
The service was poor. The food took way to long to arrive, close to 1 hour after it was ordered. My fries were cold. We found the establishment loud and dirty.
Made reso 2 weeks in advance. Were never notified at any of the several confirmation contacts (phone AND email AND text) that the bowling alley was booked out. Food offerings were dated and not a lot of variety. Most items appeared bought in and fried/baked off. Yet prices were in line with area restaurants that do a larger proportion of house made items. The host claims he “lost track” of us. We were the only people in the waiting area. If he thought we were going to wander off, why were not offered a pager? We finished our one round of short-pour drinks and left for Mulvaney’s.
Service is very slow and not good and it was not busy.
Reservations were at 5:30, got right in to a table and placed our order, for two. After 45 minutes of waiting and noticing that tables seated after us are eating their meals, we inquired about ours. We were told that our meals were delivered to the wrong table. A manager came over, apologized, offered to pay for our meal and said that the chef was working on it 'right now'. While telling us this, our meals showed up COLD and we never received our drinks.
Being our first time, we will not return.
Some of the worst service we have ever experienced. It was busy, but not at full capacity. Not sure if they were short servers, but extremely slow and no attention given.
Poor service. Ordered the chili, but they didn’t have any spoons available. We also had a reservation, but had to check in 3 times upon arrival because they kept forgetting about us. People without reservations were getting seated faster. Soda’s were flat. Maybe it was an off day. Will not be returning. Enjoy Sauced much more!
We had a party of 10 arrive at 3:45 on Saturday. We were seated just a few minutes after 4:00 at a great table. It went downhill from there.
Our server took a while to greet us. Drinks took over 20 minutes to arrive - missing 1 drink. We had ordered an appetizer that never arrived. Food started coming out about 45 minutes after we ordered. From the time the first entree was served, it took another 15 minutes for the entire table to receive their entrees. Even the first meals served were cold at the time of arrival. Once we were finished, it took a 1/2 hour for our server to come back to the table so we could request a check.
It was a Kings game night, but we spent 2.5 hours ordering/eating and trying to pay. They could have flipped that table over in 1.5 (easily) if there hadn’t been such lengthy delays and poor service.
it’ll it was fine but food was not that good I will order different next time
The food is good but service not so much- it was very full because there was a game on and the ambiance was energetic.
We waited 15-20mins for our server, whom we saw about 2 times throughout the night. Several different servers were taking orders from our table, which caused for a lot of confusion. We were there to watch the superbowl and of course, order wings, but we were told they ran out. Really, for the superbowl 🤔 With so much confusion, we were unsure who should receive a tip. Unfortunately, the collective chose not to leave one, which is very unusual for me😔
This was my 2nd we had dinner before a Kings game and everyone both times enjoyed our experiences. Will be stopping the next time for diner and bowling.
HB and I came here before a Wednesday evening Sac Kings game - decided to try a restaurant in DOCO rather than eat at Golden 1 Center. We made reservation (but didn't really need one as we were running late but there were lots of tables available for dining). Our server, Mike, did a great job. HB loved his patty melt - two big patties on marbled rye they were 4 star. The side dinner salad (my attempt to eat something "healthy" to balance the fries) was a joke. Small plate of lettuce with two halved cherry tomatoes, a half dozen stale croutons, and a tablespoon or two of diced avocado. The "dijon" dressing was bland and the $7.25 price wasn't justified in the least. This is probably more of a location for folks to bowl or karaoke or sit at the bar, not for dinner. I'll try somewhere else next time.
It was delicious! Fresh food and the kids loved it too!
Out of 5 meals, 4 were fantastic, one meal was just okay (chicken tacos). Play the games.. Have the dessert!
Taking 5 year old grandson to the Globetrotters. He said it was the best hamburger and vanilla milkshake ever!
Fun stop for dinner before the game.
We were told we had no reservation under open table. This is the second time this had happened.
We had a terrible experience!!!!!
Our party had one person that could not use the staircase/needed ada compliance, nothing was available to him. The manager was rude about the situation, our waiter disappeared, we received our food before our drinks, we were then alerted it was “last call” at 7:45pm by a screaming bartender before we even finished our meal.
Really great overall, came here to catch up with friends who are home for the holidays. Really fun atmosphere and tons to do here. The food was really good! I wish they had slightly bigger portions for their meals but the food is really good! Would definitely come back soon!
I think that this would be a great place for happy hour where you want to get rowdy and are unafraid of being loud or obnoxious. When we booked our dinner, in proximity to the Golden1 Center for a show, we thought we would give it a try. Let's start with the hostess: We arrived and were 20 minutes late (yes, we should have called). She made us aware of their policy for reservations (reserved for 15 minutes past the scheduled time) and offered us to find our own table in the bar area. It was REALLY loud and energetic and was not what we wanted. So, we went back to the hostess stand to ask if she could find us a table in the more quiet dinner area. She did, escorted us to a table (likely the table we had reserved as it had a "reserved" sign on it), and told us to enjoy our meal. There were at least 20 other open tables and plenty of staff to help out. This was a little odd- why did she just not seat us in our original table if there was SO many tables still open? We thought she could use some customer service training to make people feel welcomed, not reprimanded. Next let's discuss the bar: In our party of 4, only 1 thought their adult beverage was done right. It was mine- a draft beer (albeit poured with a really big head on it!). The other mixed drinks/cocktails were either too sweet (High Fashioned), lacking essential flavors (like ginger beer in a Mule), or lackluster with unexpected sweet (Old Fashioned). We thought the bartender was new and inexperienced. Now the food: We had a mix of things from different areas of the menu. All was good, nothing amazing, but the stand out winner was the Falafel Burger. Now that was something to come back here for.... if only everything else could be fixed!
No choice on burger prep, flavors were ok. Barbacoa was a little chewy. No chocolate shake available.
Fun environment & great flavors!
Food came out before drinks. Way too busy and need more staff
