Punch Bowl Social - Sacramento
Book your next event with us
Not a good time but the manager was nice and helpful but we would not return. It’s just not for us but others love it there.
We ALWAYS have a great time at Punch Bowl! The food is excellent, as well as the service and the activities
Service was nice. Menu seemed diverse. However, the food was nothing special.
Very fun atmosphere! Drinks and food were great! And service was great!
Great wait staff and drinks
Served my 17yo an alcoholic beverage, by mistake. Drank 1/2 before we knew.
Very friendly and helpful staff. They made sure we were taken care of and went above and beyond in customer service. Great food as well!
The food was good, even if it took a long time to get to us (with almost no other people in restaurant). I asked for a certain drink, they took it down and after bringing out appetizers was told drink wasnt available, so i had to get something else. Then when bowling asked for another drink, was never brought out too us, but was never charged so its ok.
Great food and great service
Great environment and good food.
We typically dine here before a concert. The service is hit-or-miss. This time we had excellent service. However, each visit, the food has been nothing memorable. It’s just a convenient place to have dinner before an event at Golden One. Otherwise, I’d not make a point to go back.
Awesome environment for groups! Food was delicious, but service was somewhat disappointing, in that, we sat for well over 30 minutes to get our bill and missed out on everything the restaurant offered.
Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable. The food was excellent and the drinks were delicious.
The service was excellent. First time here and had a good experience. Our waiter brought us biscuits with a peppery strawberry jam and they were delicious. He was good at telling us about the establishment and activities. My husband had the Shrimp Louie and I had a French Dip. The au jus was too salty but the beef was extremely tender and had a good flavor. Would recommend the cracklings, they were yummy. We would come back.
The service was lacking. Was served room temperature water. Asked for some ice and received 2 cups of ice for our table of 6. Had to keep asking for more ice water. Server came back with 1 cup of ice water. We had cake held for us in the back. When server came to our table with it, our table wasn't even cleared off yet of all of our plates and food. Also, the cake was presented still in the box. I've never been to a restaurant that presented our cake in that manner. So we had to carefully take apart the box to show the cake. A bit ridiculous considering we were charged $10 to hold the cake. More training of the staff needs to happen. Also had several staff memebers serving us. There was miscommunication between staff as to our bill and if it had already been given. We were given the bill 2x. Anyway, it was an unorganized experience and the staff requires mkre training.
Great place to go to before an event at the Golden One Center. Very hip vibe, loud (in a good way), great drink selection, lots of things to do (ie bowling, Foosball, etc...). If you want a quiet place, this isn't your spot. Service wasn't bad, but they were super busy so had some understandable delays.
We had a great time 😀
Not good at all! Chips were stale service bad maybe for bowling it will be fun
Great games and fun time to be had by all ages, but very loud and hard to have a conversation on the bar/game side. Great before a concert of kings game.
The ambiance was great! The place reeked of fun. The Brisket Chili. Disappointing. The meet was chewy. However I would go back to try another dish and maybe reserve one of those bowling alleys.
Our server & food were great. Love the atmosphere. Not happy with the Bar. This is our second visit & on both visits our drinks were delivered towards the end of our meal (even ordered appetizers). I ordered a non-alcoholic drink called The Florist because it was the only one that didn’t have cucumber in the description. It was served with a giant slice of cucumber. Makes me wonder if I got the right drink. It probably would have been a good drink, but since it came out late, the flavors did not go well with the spicy barbacoa tacos & I barely drank it.
This place is not family friendly. We came on a Sunday night. It was not busy. Servers were friendly but changed without notice. Nothing on them menu for a picky child. Had to order him chicken and waffles and the syrup had a strange spice in it. Teens chicken sandwich had an off putting sauce on it and it was fried so it was difficult to eat it so he didn’t. My salad which was said to be a crowd favorite had huge chunks of date, chicken tasted like it was boiled with no flavor and dressing also had no flavor. Overall, not the fun experience I had hoped. They even told us we had to leave by 10pm which was fine by us considering the food was not good, activities host was rude and VR machine was sub par at best.
Excellent burger (with gluten-free bun). Great tacos and yummy milkshake. Tasty guacamole and crab dip.
Server was great, the food was good. Ambiance was lively and fun. However, The drinks were very watered down and food took forever to come out.
Was a great time. Got to play some pool.
Service was great and attentive! The food was delicious but it was hard to find a more traditional breakfast selection. I was happy with my crispy potatoes and bacon though, very flavorful and crispy! The only thing I would comment about is the size of drink you get for the price you pay for a mimosa. Good mimosa, but expensive if you’re wanting to get drunk. All in all 5/5 for food and service but 4/5 for menu.
Flavorful food in a fun urban industrial friendly restaurant. Noise level was enough it was difficult to hear at times. Staff were attentive and fun. They were helpful with food recommendations as I need to eat GF. The establishment was out of some foods on the menu but there were enough other alternatives it was fine. Our party of 4 included teens and we played UNO so it was nice to have some interactive time that did not include electronic games.
There is macaroni & cheese on the kids menu but beware that it is white cheese sauce and not yellow cheddar as most kids are familiar with. Our friend’s daughter was disappointed that it wasn’t cheddar as she is only allowed Mac ‘n cheese on special occasions such as this one -vacation lunching with old friends. Otherwise, everything was great.
I was recommended this place by a coworker because of the karaoke and games they had here, but I had no idea that the food would be as delicious as it was! Our party had the Chicken & Waffles, the Shrimp and Barbacoa Tacos, and the Cocoa Dusted Carnitas Tacos. ALL of them were so amazing! The hosts and servers were so friendly and attentive. When we did our karaoke, we were always checked in with by our server and the music selection was awesome too. I can't wait to come by again!
Great atmosphere and food/drinks. Fun games and staff were great.
Dining Experience was good. Bowling was not. The lanes are not functional and we waiting for an hour going back and forth with the mechanics in the middle of our game to eventually not even finish.
Brought a friend, it was her first time there, she loved it!
We were visiting Sacramento with two teenage girls and thought the menu sounded fun. I didn’t read much about the place beforehand - it’s set up as a place for a fun night out mainly for twenty somethings.
They kept us waiting for our reservation to set up a table, then once we sat down a customer came up and said we were sitting at her table. A different hostess apologized to us but told us we were seated incorrectly. They moved us to a different booth, but the table was so awkward my 6’3” husband couldn’t even fit his legs comfortably underneath it. We were moved again.
We started with the nachos which were good. But then the entrees went to hell. The waitress, who wrote nothing down, messed up 3 of our 4 entrees. I ordered the Brawny Salad - which was supposed to come with a bunch of ingredients - it ended up coming with chicken, lettuce and tomatoes. The almonds? Maybe 5 small slices. The avocado - literally one small chunk. They forgot the dates. They were out of croutons. Just weird!!!
Servers brought food we never ordered. The food they brought was wrong. And then she brought us the bill - explaining that she took the shrimp tacos off. And that was good - especially since we didn’t order them in the first place.
We wanted to stay and do karaoke, but the service was such a buzz kill we just wanted to leave. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
I would recommend this place with caution. Depends on what you're looking for. It is fun and active. Very full of people but you get lost in the shuffle when it comes to good service, timely food and drinks. The waitress said there were only 2 bartenders which made no sense. A restaurant with two levels cant be so low staffed. 2 bartenders at the bar serving all the tables is crazy. It's a hot mess fun time but we didn't want to take forever to eat. The food was good but not to die for. I can't imagine in a big group....
Wow. So much potential to be a great place to eat and have fun. First let me say that the restaurant did comp us for our meal and drinks- yes, it was THAT bad. So, I wanted to acknowledge that.
The reasons for that are too long to list but I will try: the reservations for the 6 of us were at 630, and we were right on time. At 720, one of us finally went to the waitress and asked for water/drinks to be ordered; whether she ever entered the drinks order, we will never know, as we waited another 30 minutes before getting the man who appeared to be the Supervisor to come over, and he was able to personally get our drinks within 10 minutes after that. Regarding our food, we all ordered at the same time- 2 of us ordered the Blue Louie salad (I think that was the name), only to be told that they didn't have any later on. There were 4 salads and 2 regular entrees ordered. Getting someone's attention for a 2nd round of drinks finally happened later. The 2 regular entrees came out at about 740. After getting the server's attention finally, the other 4 salads were re-ordered because nobody appeared aware that there were supposed to be 4 salads in the order (at this point I lost track of time). Eventually, 3 of those salads came out- maybe around 8:10 pm? The first 2 entrees were cold by that time. As for the 4th salad, it never came out to us at the table, so we asked for it to go, so we could finally start bowling at 830- just out of principal. Funny thing is that the Supervisor who brought us our drinks disappeared and never checked in again. Maybe if we had an explanation as to what happened, that would help the situation, but all the server kept saying was "I will go check on that" and then we'd have to chase her down. There was one server for the patio where we were on a busy Saturday night. The bar near the bowling area was better staffed and we had faster service. They were also completely out of Chardonnay. It was so bad, we thought we were on Punk'd.
6/22/2019 -Pre Concert dinner with friends. We had a reservation and were seated timely. Although our waitress was friendly, it took too much time to get our drinks, a few menu items we wanted were unavailable, the person delivering the food knocked over a drink, and the food was mediocre. It is unfortunate that given your location which is excellent for pre concert dinner, they were not properly staffed. Regrettably, I question whether or not I will return
We made a reservation, arrived 5 minutes before our reserved time and still had to wait another 30 minutes. Once we were seated at a table, our server came to our table infrequently and we were often without water and drinks. One of my friends went up to the bar for her drink because we got tired of waiting. After we finished eating and our table was cleared, we waited another 30 minutes before our server brought the bill. The food was fine, but I was not impressed by the service and I'm not likely to return.
Great place and awesome service!
