It was very frustrating to have things blocked off due to reserved for a party and no one was even playing the game. The bocci ball court , the 8 person fooseball table and the bags area was blocked off. We spent enough money on food and such that it would be nice to be able to play if no one else is using it. Probably won't come back. We can bowl at a nicer bowling alley which is all we were able to do.
Great layout, loved the 3 diff bar options. Food was amazing. Service was slow for ordering. We went to bar for drinks even though we had a table. It was nice to order table online. Very disappointed in the idea that people can tent out the game for parties. We were unable to play ANY games but a fee board games till after 11pm. I was celebrating my birthday too but was limited to just eating at my table that was too small for my group.
I didn't get a high table even though I made my reservation 2 weeks prior. There was a 2.5 hour wait for karaoke. I was told since I didn't have the paper to go with my ID, I wouldn't be able to be there after 10pm; I guess that was fine but disappointing since my friends and I didn't plan to order any alcoholic drinks, and only came for the karaoke. We waited a while for drinks and with not being able to participate in karaoke, the loud environment and the food being overpriced our non-alcoholic drinks not coming soon enough was the last straw so I left before ordering any food. Happy birthday to me.
We went to try to play ping pong and it was being used so we asked to put our name on the list. They don’t do that. It’s first come, first serve so we tried to watch for when people were done. Unfortunately we never got to play as someone beat us to the area to be next to play. This is not a great way to do things and it was really annoying because that was the whole reason why we went there. The person in the game rental area was fairly rude about the whole thing. A big section was rented out so there was nothing for us to do except play board games. The food was alright and so was the server. I’ll go to the downtown ping ping bar where you can reserve tables or put your name in for playing next. If I go out to play ping pong, I want to actually play.
We had a great time with our group and had great service from Shaun. The food was excellent and the games were a ton of fun. The only down side was that after we paid our dinner tab so our server could go home we never had a single server ask us if we wanted anything in the 2-2.5 hours we still spent there. Probably would have spent a lot more money if we hadn’t had to leave our games to go get our own drinks.
I reserved a table for eating, however when I emailed how to book my group for games I was not given the best direction. After we ate we were advised to go sign up and was not told that the same evening had multiple group parties reserved so there were no games available to play. Disappointed that I wasn't given that information before I booked dinner as I would have gone elsewhere. We ended up leaving after dinner to go somewhere else for activities.
It was a slow night and service reflected that - slow! Food was okay - french dip is very hard to eat.
Took a long time for someone to wait on us.
Went for a Valentine’s dinner with my husband and kiddo! Everything was amazing, vegan sweet potato nachos, drinks, games, bowling, and so many more fun things to do.. there was something for everyone to do / eat / drink! Amazing selection of adult beverages, delicious milkshakes and desserts. Can’t go wrong with this place. The customer service was awesome to top it all off.
First my server was an amazing person and did the best job ever! She is 100%. The quality of food and drinks was mediocre at best. There were no games available to play.
Great lunch - creative and exciting menu! Can't wait to come back.
They were out of the monkey bread and beignets which was disappointing since there were two of us in the group that were specifically looking forward to those items. It was like a ghost town in there and it was early in the morning so seemed odd that they’d be out, rather like they failed to prepare from the day before...
I have had better experiences at Punch Bowl Social. I'm not going to fault them for one bad experience out of many. But I will share what was good and what was not so good.
Good: energy, location, food.
Not So Good: Seated in a main walk-way where the 8 of us were bumped often. Noise level was a bit too much where we couldn't hear each other. Our wait staff was less than attentative - had to get up to find our server to request the many things that were forgotten.
I'll be back... but I don't think I'll bring so many new people to show off to your place. They won't be back.
Booths were very uncomfortable if you’re shorter than 5’5. It felt like I had to scoot all the way to the edge in order to eat or play a card game which in turn hurt my back after awhile.
Food was good but a little over priced. Options for drinks were limited as well, they didn’t even have white claw or a seltzer and my friend wanted captain and coke and they didn’t have captain either. Also the milkshakes come in a tiny mason jar not like you would think a milkshake would come in with the extra on the side.
Overall fun atmosphere. We couldn’t do any of the extra activities because it was reserved for a private party but I brought my own card games to play. I would come back.
Food wise we all got tacos and they were very good and filling.
We couldn’t play any games. They were all reserved
We enjoyed the food and drinks. Bowling was fun, as well as the giant Jenga games.
It was New Year’s Day so (expectedly) busy. We had a reservation so that made things smoother. We did see the table next to us after ordering (and waiting a very long time) just get up and leave (presumably due to the wait). Overall it’s a super legit place to bring all members of the fam - there’s arcade games and bowling on the other side of the dinning area, then a cute bar too. The wait was a little longer than usual (NYE probs) but whatever. Service was super nice but clearly the server was stressed/busy.
Fun atmosphere with games and activities. The food was excellent. When it's busy it can become chaotic. Playing the large Scrabble or Ping Pong becomes challenging with traffic, etc. and service slows down. I will definitely be back - on a less crowded night of the week :)
Don’t offer open table if there is nothing available. We made the reservation 45 minutes before, if your not “doing” or “offering” open table than call the customer before they show up. Instead we show up and they lady just straight up tells us we weren’t or shouldn’t of been able to do opentable. No sorry..just can’t offer you a table. Poor customer service! Lucky we decided to stay and spend our hard earned money! Won’t be back.
We’re coming back soon!
The food and the fun make this a great place to go to enjoy time with friends and family. The cost of the food is a bit high and the service leaves something to be desired. Great service would make the cost of the food worth it. Please remind your staff that service is what differentiates a good restaurant from a great one!
Great place for large groups with adults and kids. Love the grain salad.
Food was mediocre. They probably make their money on activities and alcohol. Or, I just ordered a terrible dish (brisket hash for brunch). I would go back for the activities and drinks but def not for the food.
Everything was food and services were great unfortunately all the games were reserved 3- 4hrs into the night!
if you want to just relax have a little fun, this is the place to be. Energy is great, but there could be better and more food choices, not too much to choose from.
The food or and service was great! We had reservations for 8:00 and didn’t get seated until 8:45. Too late when you make reservations you should get seated closer to your designated time.
We had a holiday lunch and the food was delicious. The only issue was that we booked the lunch about a week out and at the time there were no private events. The day of the lunch everything was booked besides the arcade due to private events. When I erred some frustration I was told it was best to call the day before to book. That is obviously not feasible when planning a holiday lunch. The staff was sympathetic however and we did eventually get in to bowl. I would just suggest leaving some areas open to the public for those that did not book privately.
My wife was really bummed that they got rid of the gluten free fried chicken. Their remaining gf items are a bit weak. But I loved the falafel burger.
Total bummer, came to play games but the game area
Was fully booked by a company.
We had reserved a table for 12 of us. We had been ordering drinks and food throughout our time. We hadn’t even received our bills yet and the hostess came over and said, I don’t really know how to tell you this but you need to leave in 5 minutes because the next group is coming in that reserved this table. We said well then we better finish all our drinks and get our bill in 5 minutes!!
Overall experience was really good but that was not a fun way to end. Many of us would have had another drink.
It's quite disappointing when you go to a place to specifically to play games and have family fun and they have the vast majority of the games reserved for a private party. When the games are open, this place is great... but unfortunately, you cannot count on having fun here.
Service was great and I loved the falafel burger. I'm not a vegetarian but thought it was an interesting dish. Pretty noisy, so a little hard to hear at times.
Super chill place. Food was good and lots of fun stuff to do
Fun, good solid food
Great server, menu limited. Not enough choices. Got an appetizer which was very poor quality and quantity. Atmosphere nice, and inviting.
Had 3 Different waiters change out. After 10:30 it got Annoying Loud
Too COld to be outside for our family day so we came here for the first time. Too expensive for games like pool and ping pong. Food was tasty. Server was not o early friendly. Did just enough.
Food was great. Service was insanely slow. Took 20 minutes to get a server and an additional 20 minutes any time someone ordered a drink. They blamed it on the bar being slow but there was several times that our drinks were just waiting at the bar and we even went and grabbed them ourselves a couple times. It was my birthday and was just terribly disappointing.
Great first time experience!
