Punch Bowl Social- Dallas Deep Ellum
Book your next event with us
Food was good but service was bad. They did not bring out everything we ordered plus it took way too long to get our food and drinks.
Bowling is AWFUL! Lanes don't accurately count your pins!! You have to ask to have it manually changed. Nightmare!
Waiter took for ever to place out order, once order came out a lady delivered our food(not the waiter) and they got into a small argument in front of us. I asked for a packet of stevia for my tea and he didn’t bring it till I was done with my meal. Overall poor service and will not go back
Great environment, looks like it would be a lot of fun -- however, maybe, we were just too early for brunch. Service was extremely slow and second round of drinks was not correct, spilled a drink on one of the guys' jackets. The food wasn't great.
Awful service. Terrible food- reminds me of what I’d cook myself at 2am after a night of boozing. Won’t go back.
We didn't have the same experience of other reviewers who described poor service. Several employees were very helpful as we navigated our way through the bar/game area to the restaurant.
The food was ok. Given the prices, I was expecting the food to much better. The drinks were excellent.
The games (ping pong, foose ball, bowling) are first come first serve. There is only one ping pong table and 2 lanes for bowling. We weren't interested in standing around to wait for availability, so we opted to go for a walk in Deep Ellum.
Crappy table - we were seated right by the hosts’ stand
The waiter was fine. Things weren’t his fault but he was forced to go through the whole menu. Waste of time. We knew what we wanted to drink. Just take our drink order. The runner delivered our food to the wrong table and then had the nerve to ask if it was alright if he could just take the food he’s already set on another table that they’ve been picking at and give it to us. That’s insane! Then they rushed to remake our order and my wife’s dish was undercooked. I seriously doubt we’ll ever go back.
Wonder for everyone (kids and adults) food was delicious (chicken and waffles) very large portion so one for the kids and adult is perfect to share. Service great. I will be returning w/o the kiddos to enjoy the adult scene after 10pm.
Our waiter was a little slow
Great food & fun atmosphere!
Walking in and being redirected twice was not the way I want to start my evening. Service was ok, my water was never refilled, and drink I ordered was brought to table 5 min after everyone else's drinks were delivered. Ordered the tacos and didn't finish them, not great.
Probably will only be back for drinks, if that
My son likes trying the new restaurants in the Deep ellum area so he recommended punch bowl social. I love the interactive activities that they have to offer, the sociable bar space, and on top of that there is some great unique menu items! We both enjoyed our entrees and shared the blue crab appetizer. Oh my gosh it was decadent! He wants to get a group of friends together to do the karaoke next time. 😉
Great space, various activities, classic location, great for an "all in one" night.
We went for lunch to check out the place. Super cool concept!
The food was ok. The server was awful. He was very unprofessional and all over the place. Almost to the point of making us all feel uncomfortable. We waited almost 20 mins before he came to take our drink order. His excuse was literally, “I couldn’t figure out how to operate the French press guys so I just gave them free coffee.” Apparently he felt that giving them free coffee was the right thing to do (I’ll come back to this shortly). He forgot 2 of our orders (4-top) even though he only had one other table (also a 4-top) AND HE WROTE IT DOWN. I ordered the monkey bread French toast which was good. On the menu it is advertised as being served with “soft scrambled eggs.” This is the only way I eat scrambled eggs. Soft scrambled. They brought out fully cooked scrambled eggs. When I asked the server to replace them with SOFT scrambled eggs he scratched his head and then took the eggs over and had a discussion with a man who seemed like he was the manager. After their exchange he came over and said “what do you mean soft scrambled? These are soft” and I replied by explaining that these were fully cooked and he again asked what I meant by soft. How do you serve breakfast at a restaurant and you don’t even know what soft scrambled means and you have it listed as the side with an entree? The service progressively worsened from the time we arrived to the time we left. I would not ever recommend eating here but we are likely to return for the games and bowling.
Not ready for brunch groups. The restuarant was half empty but they were short staffed. Drinks took longer than expected and some were forgotten. Food was ok.
Our server was extremely inattentive. We would have liked to order more drinks with our meal. However, she never came back to the table. The food was great, but what’s a restaurant without great service. We left and went to Vidorra to enjoy the rest of our Sunday. Our server Laquita could use training in customer service. If any of your servers are similar, you’ll most like lose customers. She wasn’t pleasant while requesting our order nor did it seems as if she cared for her job.
I reserved my table a day before but was never seated when I checked in, I was told by an employee to “check out” the place and “figure it out” bc the table I reserved wasn’t available. The staff was unfriendly and unwilling to help.
A cool place, looking foward to checking it out again
Funky and fun decor with great service. Food was good, drinks were better. ☺️
It was great!! Food was delicious and the service/staff was friendly and well executed. Can’t wait to come again!
Nice Spot, fun & different. Parking is a challenge. Arcade games a bit too expensive considering no prize or drink incentives for winning lol music was mixture rap & country :) we'd go again.
Horrible service. If I could give a zero I would. If waiting 30 minutes for a waiter and over 40 minutes for a drink, in an I crowded restaurant is your idea of fun, have at it! Management pretty much unresponsive to lack of service.
Enjoyed environment, huge space to accommodate any type of crowd
Amazing food and atmosphere! The staff is very nice. They have really fun games you can play while hanging out at the bar!
This was our first time to visit this establishment. We went on a Sunday for brunch. Loved how open and big the restaurant was but it is a bit noisy which conversation a little hard. Everyone was extremely friendly and the food was excellent. We were disappointed that none of the shake type drinks we ordered could be made that day. Said something about machine was not turned on so they couldn't make them. Don't waste your money on the mimosas. Small serving for the price.
The food, drinks, and service from restaurant and bar was amazing. The only thing that was very annoying is that we had our hands checked for stamps to show we were 21 and up at least 10 times in the evening by security walking around. The gentlemen literally interrupted conversation and meal to see if we had stamps on our hands. Maybe a better system to see if everyone has been ID checked instead of harassing guests every 30 minutes
Birthday dinner. Loved the place!!!
We were able to accommodate a large group with seating in groups of 10.
Yes I've told my friends that live here about it and everyone wants to visit. I know about this place because I just moved here from Chicago and I love the one there. Was told about this one from your chef. Thanks food and service was awesome! Will be back soon
