Great date place. Food, drinks, and games!
I get the vibe, I get the whole “lots of different stuff to do” deal, but the execution just isn’t there. Transitioning to anything else there is not smooth at all. If you want food/dining, you have to close out from the table before you can leave to go do anything. If you ordered food to a table, and then your hour wait time for a spot at the bowling lanes are up, you’ll miss it because you have 10 mins to claim your bowling lane. Our server was an all-star, though. She handled our 10top like a champ! I just think if you and a small group go there to do ONE of the many things to do there, you’ll have a good time. If you go with a big group that all want to do all the things at lunch bowl, it will be a big hot mess.
Great atmosphere, service was good, could use more variety in food choices and more games.
Mood and activities could be great if that's what you're looking for, but the food was disgusting; Absolutely disgusting. So disgusting that our party of 5 left most of it on the table and when the 'chef' came out with a grin to ask us how great everything was opinions were split - was he having a laugh at our expense or delusional about his own work? Either way, completely gross and disturbing dining experience. Ignorant and slow service with basic food done badly. Not knowing how inedible it all was, we ordered starters, but when they hadn't appeared and the main courses did, the staff seemed upset that we asked them to hold off the mains until we'd received the starters. It went from bad to worse to worst. Drinks were badly made, service was slow and confused. Food was awful. Even the tap water was messed up- served in glasses just out of the hot wash. If you can't get serving tap water right ... omg ... Could be cool if you're there for the games/entertainment/crowd, but eat before coming or after going. Makes Applebees look like a Michelin Star operation.
Fun for a group! It wasn’t very busy. Service was decent. Could’ve been a little more attentive but overall good experience!
It was my first time there the waiter we had to keep looking for. Then I saw other tables playing cards and other things she never told us about anything that the place does that or offers I feel like I missed out on a lot
We went to celebrate my moms birthday. It was pretty empty for a Sunday brunch spot with a Bloody Mary bar and a mimosa bar. My mom loves to bowl so we figured it would be fun. The service was good and the food was fine a little bland. The atmosphere was pretty bland too. Once we started bowling we quickly notice how off-putting the music was. Not offensive, just some kind of rock that wasn't appealing. Considering our party of 6 was half the customer base, it seemed fair to ask if the music could be changed. The hostess was nice and agreed that this was not appealing to more than one subset of the population, however, the manager blew us off. I'm not sure if most people's mood and good time are as shaped by the music as ours but the music AND the managers response basically turned us off. I wouldn't say it's a fun place for brunch as advertised.
We had lunch, tried the VR space, and karaoke. A great way to spend a rainy afternoon!
They took amazing care of me and my friends for my birthday. The count fluctuated from the original reservation and they were quick to accommodate and add extra chairs to our table. Would highly recommend, our waitress was able to keep track of tabs so we didn't have to figure out how to split it at the end. Then we did bowling and VR and had great staff helping us there too. Love this place and the great service/good food+drinks!
I really enjoyed Punch Bowl Social. It's a very nice place to go if some people in your party do not drink alcohol. My boyfriend and I did dinner and then a variety of games. Dinner was decent. Our entrees were good but the appetizers were very underwhelming.
The cocktails were very good and the mocktails were even better. I always appreciate a restaurant that has a real selection for my partner. It's no fun to drink soda on a night out all the time.
The drinks need improvement! They are Punch Bowl Social and don’t offer a variety of drink choices & they don’t give enough liquor for the size it’s suppose to accommodate in the Bowl
Fun time! Great food and drinks!
Punch bowl social is great! The facility is huge, and there are a variety of great games to enjoy. The food and drinks are also awesome!
Our server needed help as it took quite some time to receive drinks/refills. One meal ended up being missed completely. Food was okay.
Noise level would likely be much more on an evening. I went for lunch which was very quiet but did not impact the attention we got from staff and the incredible quality of our food. Will definitely be back!
The space is really cool, we went for a lunch and it was really quiet there. The food was really good, the games were a lot of fun (we played the arcade games- though there were not many, and we played darts). the only bummer was that the VR machines were out of service when we went. But other than that, it was a really pleasant lunch!
Was dead for brunch. The place looked super cool, we were wondering why we were the only ones there! Limited brunch menu, not a ton of choices, but food was good.
It was a cute place with lots of games and fun things to do. The food was good and decently sized. The punch bowls were a little less full than we thought and ended up just getting our own individual drinks because it was a better deal.
Had a girl’s night and it was really fun! Perfect place to have it with food and activities!
Sorry not trying to be mean but that was the worst service with mediocre food at best ... disappointed.
The servers were very nice and accommodating. Fun atmosphere. I would definitely return.
This place is great but even though it is busy, I feel that they can manage reservations better or that they could make sure that the tables being taken care of more frequent then us trying to call out the waiter for attention.
Celebrating wife’s bday
The place is very large but space poorly used. They could have fit a lot more tables and activities is the space. The booth we were seated in had connecting low backs with the table behind you so you were literally sitting back to back with strangers and could hear every word of their conversation. When we asked to be moved, the hostess made a big deal about having other reservations and was a bit rude...there were TONS of empty tables so not sure what the problem was. Our waiter Adam was great but other than him the service was not hospitable. The food was okay but my old fashion tasted like watered down whiskey. The arcade room was closed off for a party which was disappointing and didn’t leave much else for us to do since there are only a few pool tables, ping pong tables and bowling lanes and they were all taken.
The food is fabulous, fun atmosphere, went for a birthday dinner, great place for it.
We sat there for 30 minutes and nobody served us. Couldn’t even get one drink.
One of the best venues in Chicago, entertaining for all. The service is absolutely abysmal. Thirty minutes to get a drink at 4:00pm and a small crowd of 5 is unacceptable and a wasted opportunity to generate revenue. This has been a constant black eye for this establishment. If the service was better this would be one of the best places in town.
Amazing tacos. Took forever. Ran out of ingredients for the quesadilla.
Had a great time- food was very good, service was excellent and a surprise to the day was the video game area which included Galaga and Ms. Pac-Man! The environment was cool without being pretentious. Would definitely return and recommend to others!
The mushroom gravy is out of this world.
Games need to be reservable! I tried to reserve bowling ahead of time etc but was told I couldn’t. I had a birthday party and would have loved to be able to have these games reserved.
The staff was very kind and flexible. The service was a little slow though I think our waiter just wasn't as attentive as I'd hope for but overall a great experience I will def be coming back.
Cool atmosphere and good service. Food really misses the mark. Not great flavors and overpriced. Go for the games and drinks but have dinner somewhere else.
Everyone was happy with the service. Our server did forget a beer and we had to wait a little longer than usual. Guacamole wasn’t the best, but the salsa on the side was a lot better.
The mules were good! Shots were actually doubles! Would definitely come again!
Despite a few errors with food and communication from management, they went above and beyond to remedy the situation. The food we ate was delicious. And overall had a good time!
Upon entering, I was completely dissatisfied! I walked a very long way from my parking spot and saw I had an expired drivers license. It had the hole punched in it. However, you could still see my name, photo, date of birth (1985), and all information saying I can legally come in. I had my hubby to walk back to the car to get the accurate ID. Within 3 minutes, my sister and I witness these same “ID checkers” let someone in who had OUTSIDE ICE-CREAM. If anyone should’ve been turned away, it should’ve been him!!!
As time went on, our server was very busy but still took care of things. I had one terrible Long Island and talking with others and letting them taste, it was ONLY my drink that tastes like gin and a squirt of coke. Everything else was great. Food was good and hot, ambiance nice, staff nice, clean place, HUGE, and I was pleased.
The food was good but all game areas were closed due to a private party. That should be noted on their website or when you make a reservation. We would not return there.
Service was inconsistent in not bustling environment. Slow, Inattentive overall underwhelming.
