I love going to Pumpkin. The food is simply awesome. I lived in Philly for 10 years and have gone to all the highly ranked restaurants. I keep coming back to Pumpkin year after year (now I live in the burbs and drive in to Pumpkin). It's the best -- well -- when you go to a restaurant and want the best food and to talk to your companion it's simply the best. There are louder restaurants. There are busier restaurants with more commotion. None with better food. I've been dating one person for 12 months and have gone to lots of places. First time at Pumpkin she declared it her favorite.

Pumpkin is always perfect. I have never had a dish there that wasn't carefully prepared and presented and that I didn't like.

One of my favorite restaurants! Every meal I've had here has been exceptional but last year I transitioned to a plant based diet so I've been a little leary about dining out, but Chef Ian is amazing and hasn't hesitated to create a dish to accommodate me. Actually during our last meal here my husband liked the dishes that Chef Ian so created so much he said next time we should both order the plant based meal. Fantastic to find such a talented chef.

Lovely! Server wonderful. Guy at front desk told us that hen we arrived how we’d need to be out by a certain time for the next table. I then heard him hounding people next to us that their third guest needed to arrive soon so they could turn over the table. Meanwhile, tables remained empty entire time we were there. He was rude. Never encountered behavior like his in a reputable restaurant. The server made up for it. Would have been perfect if not for the jerk.

Since we live north of Philadelphia, our group of 4 tries to find a good BYOB restaurant to visit before our Philadelphia Orchestra concerts. We have had good luck overall, yet this recent visit to PUMPKIN has "raised the bar". It has been about one year since our previous visit, and although the physical space is the same, this time we found the food memorable. If I recall accurately, the food has always been very good, but currently it is outstanding. We had differing entrees (meat and fish) and everyone's meal was superbly prepared. In addition, the wait staff could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. We can hardly wait to return!

Amazing prix fixe Sunday dinner. So much food! I had to finish a few of my girlfriends dishes because of the quantity in each plate. We came away feeling full which is great.l. The chicken amazingly tender and juicy. Beets dish was interesting and reminded me of Eastern European dishes. Butternut squash soup was very unique with the raisin chutney. Also service was impeccable and the dishes came out quickly. Only con was the tight seating. My gf said it was very hard to ignore conversations next to you.

I tried to avoid Restaurant Week, but Pumpkin kept the Restaurant Week menu a day after Restaurant Week ended. Would have went another night if made aware of the RW menu. The grilled octopus appetizer tasted not fresh. The fish dish (Skate) was not that great either. The butternut squash soup and NY strip were very good. Service excellent.
