Great experience! Justin our waiter was very knowledgeable, and added to our wonderful evening. Every course was delicious, and we can’t wait to come back!

After years of hearing only good things about Pumpkin, I have to admit I was personally underwhelmed by our New Years Eve dinner there. The starters were very good (chickpea stew & cheese) however the duck breast left a little to be desired - while one half of my husband's portion of the duck was fine, the other half was extremely tough and ultimately inedible. Also, I found the service to be underwhelming. When we were seated, we had the server come by and ask us if we were ready to order, with no real introduction and no description or review of the menu. He answered a few questions we had but it was the bare minimum. A little while later, I overheard the server reviewing the entire tasting menu with the four-top beside us. I'm not sure why we were treated differently, but it was noticeable and didn't sit well with me. A gratuity of 20% was then imposed for our party of two; while we normally tip at least 20%, we didn't feel the service we received that particular night warranted it. The fact the tip was forced on us at that percentage also left a bad taste. I won't be rushing back.

A wonderful reason to leave the house on a frigid night. Great food - who knew a rutabaga could be succulent and delicious? - and service. Trust the folks in the kitchen and go for it!

Very small, only ten tables, but the staff really tries harder. Sunday night 4 course is a deal. Super fresh food served piping hot (unusual these days) by friendly wait staff. Tables are tightly packed together. If you are claustrophobic this place is not for you.

We thought the food was delicious and creative, the service was great we just thought it was expensive. We realize that value costs and if you can BYOB that saves, but it was still pricey- $15 for appetizers(small plates is a lot!)

This could be our new favorite place! It has been on my "list" for a long time but our travels from the western suburbs into town usually take us into the more northern neighborhoods. In town for an early flight out of PHL the next morning we were finally able to visit Pumpkin. A very cozy space! Our server, Tracy, was so personable and helpful! She knew the menu expertly and helped guide us through our choices. Everything we tried was outstanding: the butternut squash soup, the scallop crudo, the artic char and the NY strip (a perfect size for a person like me that does not value large portions). We had room to share dessert along with tea and coffee. What a wonderful experience! We will make every effort to return!

Fantastic food, unique and interesting. Scallops were the best we ever had. Great eating experience.
