Good food, nice ambiance, kind staff. Only complaint is the portions were a bit small.
We are outside and had a lovely meal. We were not rushed snd the service was excellent. Inside seemed a bit loud but friendly atmosphere. Food was great. Loved the shaved squash salad and olive oil cake.
Lovely intimate restaurant. Perfect venue to celebrate our 27 years of marriage.
We chose outdoor seating which was fine. A bit noisy with street traffic but that’s what you get on South St. Wait staff was very attentive. Food was outstanding and not your standard fare. Great flavor combinations. Timing of courses was perfect. BYOB and no corkage fee was a big plus. Will definitely visit again.
This was our first visit to Pumpkin, which is in our new neighborhood. The outside seating was comfortable and cheery. The food was interesting, well-prepared, and just the right amount. The staff was friendly and professional. And it's hard to beat 3 courses for $50 and BYOB. We'll be back often.
Everything from the food, ambiance to service was fantastic! All the dishes were excellent and at a great price too! Will be back again and have been recommending it to everyone!
We celebrated my birthday on a Tuesday night. We planned to eat outdoors but the outdoor space wasn't great, plus it was very hot, so we ate inside but luckily it was not crowded at the time (early). The menu is price fixe at $50 for three courses. Overall, the food was excellent. Between us we had the flank steak and the duck both of which were great. To start we had the gazpacho which was also quite good. My dessert, a chocolate torte, was outstanding. My only complaint was that the service was very perfunctory. It was efficient but with little or no warmth. The wine was poured quickly without asking if we wanted it right away (i.e. before we had even finished sitting down). We weren't offered coffee with dessert - she just brought the bill without asking anything. However, it was still an nice evening and an excellent meal.
Presentation and Food was Excellent!!
The meal was superb. The flavors, textures, and visuals were top notch. We’ve always like Pumpkin but recently they kicked it up a notch.
Everything was great- gazpacho, duck, olive oil cake
always a good time and great meal
Always a great meal, great service and a great experience. One of Philly's finest restaurants year after year.
Nice place, you pay a flat rate for a three course meal so it’s pretty fun, would recommend! The outdoor area is nice as well, though it can get a bit hot. The service was a bit slow but that’s the only drawback.
The food is nice, but $50 for what is offered is just not fair value for overall quantity and quality. They should lower to 40 or add a dish to make it worth the price
Excellent as always. Lots of great flavors. Three courses for $50
Excellent service! Cute atmosphere and great food!
Inventive plates - friendly and knowledgeable service - great value
Had a really good experience at Pumpkin BYOB. The food was delicious and I loved the outdoor seating concept. I hope they keep it even once COVID is over
One of the best meals I’ve ever had! Food, service, and ambiance were all incredible! I would return to Philadelphia just to eat here.
It was very good. Food was a bit “garlic-y” but overall, a good experience.
So good! One of our favorite places in Philly and we’ve been just about everywhere. They just deliver on the food every time.
Good service and the food was delicious. Portions were perfect and serving was not rushed
Good food, wonderful service great little spot to get good food
Exceptionally creative menu, seasonal and delicious. With five people at dinner, we ordered most of the menu and it was consistently excellent. Oysters were also outstandingly good and we even remarked on the interesting spin of pink peppercorn in the minionette.
Just a fun night. Superb seasonal food. Panna cotta an exceptional dessert.
We thought we would try something different, out of our normal line of restaurants to go to and we were not disappointed. Incredible food, atmosphere and decent sized portions.
This is a fantastic place to eat. Food is marvelous. The owners and wait staff are lovely. Outside is terrific, too.
Always innovative, sophisticated cuisine in a comfortable, homey and esthetic setting!
I had always heard good things about Pumpkin and went in with high expectations that were completely surpassed. The food was absolutely delicious and the menu, while it changes daily, may be small but somehow has so many great options. The service was wonderful, presentation was beautiful, and every bite was better than the last. I will be going back soon!
the food was delicious. our dinner for 4 was over $200 and lasted for one hour and 15 minutes. The price seemed excessive to us for what we were given. we also had to pay for 4 small pieces of toast.
Food was delicious. Everything is very fresh and full of flavor. even though it is a price fixed menu, there are many options. They always have vegetarian and vegan choices. I am vegetarian with some diet restrictions, and they were so accommodating. I will definitely be back. Only downside is that it is a small space and the tables are set a bit close together.
Everyone could find something delicious on the 3 course menu. There were 3 of us, each getting something different. All were very delicious. Great service too. A bit noisy!
The food is always fabulous—the menu is a small one, but the selections are seasonal and expertly prepared with the freshest ingredients. Passers walking their dues sometimes stop and chat—we had a pleasant encounter with the owner of a very handsome vizsla. Our waitress was lovely. Among the three of us, we sampled most of the offerings: the shrimp escabeche was refreshing, as were the raw oysters with mignonette sauce, and the new potato; the trumpet pasta ragu was perfect with its crunchiness and blend of flavors, and the panna cotta left me simply floating off into the night. The chocolate torte was also exceptional.
Great value for great food. I would highly recommend this BYOB.
Very fresh ingredients. Incredible taste. Wish they had coffee.
Cozy setting; a bit loud when fully packed but it started getting quieter later in the evening. 3 of us dined and we all enjoyed our appetizers and main courses. The desserts were fine but not as standout as the first two courses. Felt it was a good value at this price point ($50 for 3 good-sized courses)
Wonderful food and wonderful dinner!
PUMPKIN IS THE BEST...love everything. Its noisy for us because we are old!!!!
