Pullman wine bar is essentially devoted to the sinful pleasures of wine. Guests are welcome for an aperitif among friends, a gourmet degustation, or a late night snack. Our sommeliers gladly offer their expert opinion in pairing entries from our extensive wine list and tapas-style menu.

Pullman Ratings and Reviews
I was traveling alone (female) for leisure to Montreal. From the entrance through the entire restaurant, the place looked like a dive, and I almost walked out due to the atmosphere. However, the server paid attention to my food choices and interests in helping me pick a wine and gave me a tasting of something else to expand my knowledge and the wine choices and the food (more limited choice) were excellent. Got noisier as time went on and the place filled up.
I've been to MTL à Table for the past 6 years and have never been as disappointed as this time. Although the food was good, the portions were ridiculously small (we were 5 girls with normal appetite) and had to eat a second meal after our three courses meal at Pullman. It was very expensive for what we got.
The food and wine was good and it was a nice atmosphere.
Unfortunately the service wasn't good considering the venue. We were sitting at the counter and had all these waiters near us but the eye contact seemed difficult for them. We didn't feel welcome. When we were waiting for our deserts, one of the waiters simply took our plates away without asking us anything and we ended up never getting our deserts.
We were put off and decided to leave which was ashame.
We caught up with friends at Pullman last weekend, our first visit. The ambience was superb, the restaurant balances comfort, intimacy and style really well - with a lively, bustling atmosphere that compliments the experience rather than overwhelms. This place is highly regarded for it's wine list and we weren't diasspaointed. Kudos to Felix for navigating us through the list to help us discover unfamiliar but superb wines based on our preferences, and doing so at a remarkably good price point. As a decent sized group we sampled a good proportion of the small plates - ordering about 3-4 per person and sharing family style. By the end of the evening, our appetites had been fully sated with a delicious range of incredibly tasty, diverse and often creative dishes. As a group of well seasoned, food & wine obsessed folks, we all finished the evening really enthused about the experience Isabelle and the team had created. We'll be back
We went to Pullman before the opera because of the reviews on Trip Advisor. It has excellent small plates, like tapas but not traditional Spanish. The best dish by far was girolles with polenta and creamed corn. The wines are excellent and the wait staff are knowledgeable about them and the food. The decor/ambience is great. The spaces are intimate. It would be fun with a small group or just another person. We were there very early on a Saturday so it may be much noisier and crowded later in the evening.
My husband and I have been here nearly 30x in the past 10 yr and the food is great and in the past 10 years we had great service. But it's been 6 mnths since we last ate here and clearly something (the servers??) has changed.
This review is about the awful service. Food = 8/10, service = -10/10. Our waitress upstairs forgot to place our order; and only placed our friends (we were on a dble date). When our friends food kept coming and ours didn't we realized something was amiss and asked where was our food. She seemed oblivious to what we meant even though we had discussed with her our two orders. Not sure if she's just distracted, bored or what?! The floor was dead quiet so she wasn't busy...to top it off she took no accountability and though she covered our last wine she did so begrudgingly w no real apology for a major f* up since it was too late for us to order and eat and get home in time for our babysitter. It would've been a waste of a night if not for our great friendly company :) we ended up reheating pizza for dinner at 11pm once we got home. Sigh.
We were pleased to have an early dinner at Pullman. I expected not to be warmly received since this is clearly a wine bar and we are not drinkers; I was pleasantly surprised to be served professionally and well. We had the Cheddar and Bacon Gougeres, (very nicely done, full of flavor,) Goat cheese with herbs and spicy red peppers, (served with nicely toasted thin slices of baguette,) Mini Bison burgers with matchstick potatoes, (the burgers were juicy and very flavorful,) Saffron Arancini, (excellent, with a subtle citrus flavor,) and the Ancestral tomato bruschetta with eggplant caviar, (good but not crisp, nor as stand-out as the other dishes.)
I'd heartily recommend this place, especially if you enjoy good food offerings with your wine tastings. The wine list appeared quite extensive, and there were ample "flights" to allow for samplings which will appeal to a vast diversity of tastes.
on a side note: a few doors south of this, there is a store called Papeterie:Nota Bene, which specializes in fine paper products, especially excellent journals and the best offerings to put pen and pencil to paper from around the globe. Sebastian, our sales specialist, made my crazy paper obsession seem sane, and knows what you need and want! Leave some time before dinner at Pullman to delve into the world of beautiful journal products.
One of the things I love about Montreal is quirky, fun, adventurous places like this. Casually elegant, a fun wine list that has a long list of 2oz pours so you can create your own flight. The waitress was very knowledgeable and helpful with creating flights based on our rudimentary wine knowledge. The food was also fun. They called them tapas but they are certainly not Spanish but fit the concept. The charcuterie was a sophisticated, cheese croquettea and bison burgers(sliders) were very well done. All around a fun, great experience.
This is, without question, our favourite restaurant in Montreal! Amazing wine list and spectacular sommeliers- and delicious food. We love the citrus olives, the venison tartare, the grilled cheese, the duck, and the green beans with truffle oil -- and the chocolate truffles are too die for!!!!
We always love pullman for intimate friends or for groups. It has wonderful tapas and excellent wine choices. The servers are friendly and have good recommendations. Staff are gracious and during the international jazzfest they called their guests to ensure that the réservations would be respected. Instead of being brusque they kindly asked if we were planning on spending the evening there or not. We promised our waitress Maarie, who guessed where we were headed that next year if Pink Martini are coming back that we will ask that she get the night off and we will bring her with us !
Pullman we love you forever!
This is a great place to go and spend some quality time with your partner or friends. The food is amazing, wine list is out of this world and the people are fantastic. Their knowledge of the wine that they are serving is top notch.
Only downside is there is little Canadian wines served here
