Pulia - Ventnor City
The food was really delicious, but to be honest- it felt like enough precautions were not being taken for Covid-19. We sat outside and there was a musician going over to tables singing with a guitar and no mask. He was respectful when we said we did not want to be serenaded, but it drew into question how seriously the restaurant is taking Covid-19.
Great authentic Italian food. Service was friendly and efficient. Definitely will return to this gem.
Great food great service a must for dining!!Highly recommend It price right home Style cooking feel like I’m in Italy. Have to try to meatballs egg plant chicken in the oven was delicious!
Food was average and service was awful. Took at least a 1/2 hour to take our order when the restaurant was not busy. When food came out, it was brought out of order. Server admitted to her mistake. Chicken was dry and over cooked. But appetizer and dessert were good. Will not be back.
I think the food is excellent. In addition our server ya ya was outstanding. She went out of her way to make our experience even better. Service like that is hard to find. We will be back!
The best authentic Italian food, nice decor and wonderful service
Super enjoyable family dinner at Pulia this past weekend. Looking forward to trying other items on their menu on our next stop.
No hostess to greet you on arrival. Stood in the doorway for 20 minutes before anyone would stop to help us. We had a reservation for 7pm outside and nothing was available outside so we agreed to sit inside. Took 15 minutes for someone to get us water and open our wine. Took over an hour to receive any food. Our appetizer never came out. We informed our server it never came out when he brought our entrees out after an hour and a half of sitting down with no food and told him we no longer wanted it. He brought it anyway and then charged us for it. Branzino special was gross. It was covered in marinara sauce and the fish was not de-boned. We will never be back. Don’t waste your time.
We frequent Pulia.... unique food and Italian cuisine. The owner/manager frequently walks around meets quests so be sure to grab him for a chat!
authentic and delicious Italian food, the best meatballs appetizer, beautiful decor authentic Mediterranean byob restaurant
Great food! Super friendly service!
We really enjoyed our first dining experience at Pulia. The staff, including the owner, were attentive to us the entire time and we never felt rushed. We also felt very safe with the seating in regards to COVID. I must say, the meatball in my pasta dish was probably the best I have had from any restaurant in Margate, Ventnor or vicinity. Authentic Italian and that is coming from someone with an Italian heritage (and very picky with my Italian dining).
We will definitely be back and it will be soon. This experience was very relaxing , like visiting my Italian Grandparent's dining room but in a much cuter environment.
This was our third visit to Pulia since July. Food and service was very good. We dined outside which was fine, a little windy but not cold. Mushroom soup was excellent as was the lasagna and baked eggplant. Owner was on premises and thanked us for dining with them. Overall, an excellent experience.
Beautiful place, good food and nice staff and low price
Service was terrible. We waited over twenty minutes for water. We were served the wrong food and the server made up a lame excuse. The outside tables were spaced very close together. Additionally, one of their servers was not wearing his face mask
Very attentive and accommodating staff. I have already recommended to several friends. My first time, and as a local I should have gone sooner. Shame on me. 🙂.
Forgive my not ranking on a curve but COVID and outdoor dining are going to be around for a bit and some outdoor missteps are bound to arise;
Excellent food though and a terrific value for weekend dining in the city (?) of Ventnor.
I was surprised by the sheer number of mishaps with this dining experience.. too many to even mention, but the most impressive was the delivery of main course to one of six in my party 30 minutes before the next.. after speaking with the server, the serving supervisor and the owner, the other meals arrived, but they seemed bothered that I asked about where the other meals were.. omg, the food was unimpressive after that wait. Other blunders included bringing our meals out seconds after our salads and taking our untouched salads away to make room, failing to remove any of the fish bones in the filleted Bronzino having to ask multiple times for a coke, etc... all added up, one of the worst meals on record. That said, I still left 30% tip for the servers as I know how hard they work and I would not blame them for failed execution in the kitchen but I’m not sure I’d be back any time soon..
Seating was outdoors, due the the current virus situation. The staff was very attentive, explaining the menu correctly. The food was excellent, will definitely be back.
Worst food I ever ate! Will never go back or refer anyone!
I never ate at Pulio before but was pleasantly surprised with how delicious the food was. The servers were excellent, so friendly and super accommodating. I would go back again for sure to try another great dish. I had their special which was a lobster dish that was truly over the top and plentiful enough to give my husband a taste. Great place to go for a meal. Thanks Pulio for the great experience~~ Karen from AC
Food was excellent and dessert was delicious
The food was delicious! What a great find- all fresh homemade pasta! This was the hi lite of our trip! The owner and staff sim to please- so happy to find this gem!
Second visit to Pulia this summer. Both times everything was perfect. Food and service excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Food was great very authentic. Some portions were a little small for the price. The bruschetta is one slice of bread with tomatoes on it for $8 .... that’s a little silly. Pizza was great good size, pasta dish was a little small but very good. It’s byob which can be nice.
The gnocchi was awesome and the service was great. Will definitely come back
Ordered the pappardelle with mushrooms.... ran out of pappardelle (my favorite) and subbed in a thinner noodle without telling me. Apps were good (buratta and caprese). Noise level was high with a loud kid (about 8) at the table next door....
Food and service were both amazing. Definitely adding this place to our rotation!
Victor was amazing ! Service was great . Margarita pizza would recommend
We had lunch at Pulia, two separate salads a coke and an ice tea and bill was over $40 and the salads were tiny for $15 each. But, much worse, much much worse than the above, we were both ill and spent hours in the bathroom. We will never, ever return.
Amazing food, great location, service was good
Very nice place but the food was not good. Guitar player next door was a nice touch but the food was just so meh that I would not return.
Hopefully when this coronavirus is over, the experience will change 4 this restaurant.
Food and service was excellent. We sat outside on the sidewalk which get a little noisy with traffic but not that bad. We had the lasagna and ravioli entrees and the eggplant vegetariano as an app. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Fantastic would recommend to others
This restaurant is a gem, and the food authentic. I cannot say enough about the servers for they were truly accommodating. The only complaint, and this is no reflection on this restaurant rather the restaurant next-door to them. The neighbor, offers live music which is amplified through a speaker system. This music was so loud and obtrusive that often times we needed to shout to hear the other parties at our table. If the neighboring restaurant would’ve turn the speakers down maybe Two or 3 dB it would’ve made for a spectacular evening.Again, I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant however they have an unfortunate proximity to a Blaring speaker system.
What an Italian night! I’m glad we stopped there, one of the best pizza experience ever and I’ve been in NJ for 4 years. The service is great, the owner and staff are so welcoming and Kindle. I was missing the Italian taste a lot!
Loved this sweet little bistro! Food was excellent and service the same! I must try for Ventnor residents!👍
Lost as to why there is an allowance to make a reservation and the restaurant isn’t even open?
The food is always excellent
