Unusual flavours and surprisingly light - a memorable Italian dining experience. Great location in Borough Market too!
I’m from Apulia and I found an authentic Apulian feeling at Pulia! Excellent food, friendly staff, cozy atmosphere. I’ll go back whenever I miss home, highly recommended!
Two Small pieces of focaccia bread at 6.75 per was a big surprise. Only bread offering to accompany small charcuterie or to soak up extra sauce amounted to unexpected £13.50 - ouch
Food was good but nothing amazing. For the price I would have expected a little better. But the wine, service and restaurant were all lovely.
This was a team lunch and decided on Italian, however having a true blooded Italian in the team would mean it had to be pretty authentic. So after searching 'best' Italian restaurants in the area we opted for Pulia. From the moment we arrived (in a fabulously authentic environment) we were looked after. Our waiter - Carmelo made us feel very welcomed. His recommendation of the red wine went down a treat!
Thank you to everyone in Pulia, we all agreed that we will be back and more importantly a big thumbs up from our resident Italian.
Great restaurant, service was a little off but the staff were running, really doing their best during the busy dinner service.
Traditional Southern Italian food. Makes a change from the homogenised stuff you usually get on the high street.
Very helpful staff.
Truly terrible. Poor unhelpful service with soggy pasta which you would not get away serving in Italy. They have a restaurant in Brindisi airport which is a thousand times better.
I have been coming to Pulia restaurant for few years. The food is excellent and the wine adequate.
i think that the resteraunt was very aesthetically pleasing! the staff were nice but very quiet.
easy to find from london bridge station.
I didn’t really enjoy my meal, I had the fish which was undercooked in the middle and I didn’t enjoy enjoy the accompaniment which was bland. The ambience and setting was nice but I left hungry.
great food especially the pasta dishes. i didn't give 5 stars only because there was a 2 years old at the table and his meal was the last to arrive (we also waited a bit despite the restaurant was not really busy). they also need to provide the toilet with baby change facilities. a part from this the food was excellent and we will definitively be back
Really great dining experience, nice staff, good service, all very good
Went for dinner with a friend. Excellent fresh Italian food and really good service.
What drew me to choose Pulia was knowing their home region of Puglia to be poorer in product which was reflected in a shorter menu than in your usual Italian resto! But what I hoped for was good and simple and tasty interpretation on the food and wine from their homeland, for this location - and we were not disappointed.
We had the best Christmas team lunch. Food was amazing and reasonable price. The staff were very nice and friendly, particularly our server Carmelo was very tentative, professional and we were not rushed. The restaurant had beautiful ambient and relaxing music. Thoroughly recommended
Average service, poor food, long delays. Maybe they had a bad day but I won’t bother going back to find out.
Service was terrible - clashing plates on the table and not very attentive. The pasta was far from al dente - it was barely cooked and was hard in middle. There are much better pasta restaurants in the area.
Great food. The food was absolutely amazing!
Great service and very organized. They called ahead to confirm booking and arrival time. And compromised for your preferred seating arrangement. Our glasses never found itself empty. And the bill was handed over quickly when requested.
It was very rushed, from the waiter taking our orders to when the food was served to when we were asked to leave. I understand that we have a 2-hour seating but it was not a pleasant experience.
The food was very good and you could tell the ingredients were of good quality. The staff were friendly and attentive. Overall a good experience.
cheese and wine is great. the main dishes are bland and very mediocore
Relaxed dining experience, good food and wine!
Food and service was outstanding though did feel a little rushed. Lovely atmosphere and very authentic
Authentic Italian food which was a great representation of that region in Italy. Charming service.
Only one choice of gin. Had to change order 3 times as menu item was unavailable. Aldo the same applied to wine choice.
Thé service is a little hit and miss, it feels very new though so maybe with time the place will feel more comfortable
Poor service which was slow. The waitress was rude when we asked to move to a bigger table even though we had booked for 3 and we’re on a table for 2. The focaccia was overpriced and presentation of the food was poor. Quite an average Italian meal overall.
Lovely authentic Italian pasta .. would definitely recommend
Delicious food but one of our party got the wrong meal and an extra bottle of wine was added to the bill that we didn’t have!
Needs more waiters: nobody greeted us when we entered and there was only one poor guy doing everything who then forgot about us when we needed to pay. Wouldn't recommend or go back.
Let's start with the good stuff - convenient location, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Some good options for vegetarians with a few vegan choices too. Now the not so good stuff - my main dish (parmigiana) was tasty but not hot enough. It was warm around the edges and cold in the middle. The restaurant was not particularly busy - perhaps half full - so we were surprised that the 3 coffees we ordered at the end of the meal took 15 minutes to arrive, were luke warm and the order was incorrect. We asked for 2 decaf flat whites and 1 decaf latte. We got 2 lattes and 1 flat white, none of which were decaf, which we realised as we lay awake, tossing and turning into the early hours of this morning. Very annoying. Beware!!
Tasty Italian food - great wine!
Very authentic menu and attentive service at a reasonable price.
I ordered the bread board of cheeses and parma ham for starter and the sausage with potatoes for mains.
Everything right down to the smoked mozzarella was yum
Thank you, we shall visit again
Really enjoyed Pulia! The charcuterie board's cheeses were amazing and we loved our pastas. Finished off with some sorbet and lemon cake that was light and tasty. Servers were so friendly and accommodating throughout. Thank you for a wonderful birthday dinner (and for the candle and singing!) Will definitely be back.
I went for dinner with a friend and found the brightly lit restaurant warm and inviting. They also sell their own seasoning and wines! We shared the bruschetta con scamorza, the crust was tough but it was overall tasty. I had the meatball pasta and my friend had the clam pasta and we devoured the lot! Service was with a smile, I will return :)
I've been here twice now and enjoyed it both times. The food is absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection, and served by competent and friendly staff. I will definitely be going back again.
Posto molto caratteristico, cucina italiana e si sente! Complimenti a tutto lo staff, perché nonostante siamo a Londra sembra di tornare in Italia. Ci ritornemmo sicuramente!
Pleasant little place... The food was tasty, tho my pasta choice was a little claggy.
The choice of wine/prosecco was limited (but in a good way - making it easier to chose!).
Service was a bit of a let down. Has to really work hard to get the attention of the waiter(s); and reminding them for the water /bread etc. At one point, I actually had to get up and go to the counter instead...
Other good points - good ambience (no loud music).
My friend and I had a lovely evening at Pulia. Our waiter (Francesco) was very attentive (but not too attentive). The food and wine were delicious and certainly good value. The atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasing - not dead but not overly noisy either.
Lovely restaurant, delicious food and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anybody!
Francesco looked after us, was very attentive and charming. Thank you for making our special night even better!
