We enjoyed eating outdoors in the semipermanent patio space. Excellent food choices and the service were great. Our sever even brought a bowl of water for our guests puppy.

The tacos were excellent. Loved the corn tortillas. I think those were the softest tortillas i have ever had. The drink selection was quiet intersting, I tried the Yoga Tree on the servers's recommendation and enjoyed it .

Initially it took a while for a server to greet us, but once Nick realized we hadn't been greeted he took great care of us. We ordered from the restaurant week menu and were not disappointed at all. The tacos are so filling and flavorful. This was our first time at Puesto, and it certainly won't be our last!

The guacamole blew my mind. Our waiter was calm and attentive. We love the outdoor patio.

Food and service was great. A 4% upcharge, additional charges for specific tacos and then a 18% tip. I'll go again but the prices are equivalent to a fine dining restaurant. 4 people with no alcohol was $150! Yikes!!!

Phenomenal! We loved this place. Be SURE to get the spicy margarita (either of them), you won't regret it!

Our server Josh was awesome!!! The hostesses were very rude- sat us 25 min late for an 8:00 reservation (we were there at 7:55). They would avoid eye contact with us & were hard to grab to ask the status of our table. Josh & the food made up for it.

Amazing margaritas, no sugar, just tequila goodness. Our whole table was racing about the tacos during and after the meal. I would highly recommend going to this restaurant and I will be going again.

We asked for outdoor dining and when we arrived an outdoor table was available. As we still have to deal with COVID this is a deal breaker for us. The food was very good as was the service. It is a loud location to try to carry on a conversation but not overly loud. I took our server's recommendation and it did not disappoint. We found out they have locations in NorCal where we live so we will search them out locally.

Overpriced and overrated. From food to drink to seating are well below expectation. One of the most expensive taco meal I have ever eaten in my life and they are not even good. So disappointed. I don't understand the raving review about this place.

Great service and excellent food!

We loved the food so much we went there the next day for lunch. The salsa is outstanding and the tacos were delicious. I highly recommend.

Delicious tasting food and overall great first time experience..

We always make sure to stop by Puesto whenever we're in San Diego because the food is undeniably delicious! Everything is made in-house so it's fresh and tasty. We tried the potato taquitos for the first time - terrific! The dipping salsa is so bright and fresh with the warm potato and crispy tortilla. Their house-made cervezas are terrific, too.

Our family group loved this place! I believe it was our favorite places for lunch while we were in San Diego. The cocktails and beer (house beer) were fabulous as well as the food!
Try the frozen Horchata Loca with dark rum. Delicious!

The chicken tacos were mediocre (even though they had the "trophy" next to them). The burned cheese that surrounded the chicken made it extremely difficult to eat the tacos. The fish tacos we got were great. The salsa is also great.

The food was amazing! Possibly the best Mexican food we have had outside of Mexico! Shrimp Ceviche is incredible! The tacos are so good!

I love Puesto. Favorite tacos in SD. I go at least once a month. But something about the La Jolla location wasn’t enjoyable. The host was snobby when I was greeted, servers seemed unhappy, and the food just wasn’t up to par. Will continue to visit Puesto at the headquarters as that has always been an amazing experience.

One of our favorite places in La Jolla. We come back time and time again. They have built an expansive deck outside to increase their seating capacity. Nice and open with breeze. Food is always outstanding! They have such unique offerings. Hubby had sea bass ceviche, fresh and beautifully presented with a spicy drizzle on the plate. I had tacos: verduras and carnitas. Each one has distinct flavors in their preparation, both yummy. We always get their signature margaritas. Perfect lunch!

Absolutely love Puesto! One of my top faves in San Diego for street tacos! I love the Tamarindo Shrimp, the Filet and the Verduras tacos. Add their chips and salsa and a margarita and I'm in heaven!

We were in La Jolla for one week. While there, we ate at Puesto 3 times- it was that good! Cute casual atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food & margaritas!

Went during happy hour. Tacos are very good and not your typical street tacos. Filet mignon taco and chicken a pastor were delicious.
Service was attentive and courteous.

Amazing tacos. The menu has been slimmed down since the pandemic, but the food is as outstanding as ever.

Great food!

Decided to take advantage of Taco Tuesday and were disappointed. Fish taco was excellent; carnitas was so tough it took effort to chew. Guac was very good as was the classic margarita. Check arrived without the Taco Tuesday discount. Was fixed but never should have happened. Not the Puesto experience we have previously enjoyed.
