We had a reservation for 7:30 on Tuesday night. We had to wait about 15 min for our table. Our server was very nice however it was very obvious there were issues with the kitchen (SLOW) and bus service. The value on taco Tuesday is good and the flavor was good but it shouldn’t have taken 2 1/2 hours.

We LOVE Puesto, the food is incredible, such a great vibe, and the service is always on point. Last night Maddy was our server and she was amazing, she made us feel so comfortable and taken care of. Taco Tuesday is always really busy which means a longer wait but she communicated that to us ahead of time so we knew what to expect and checked in enough that we knew we weren't forgotten. Can't wait to go back next week!

Went with three people. My order included two tacos. One shrimp, one filet. Much smaller portions since I’ve last been there. Filet over cooked. Shrimp covered in a lot of sauce. Service slow. One of our margaritas was ordered with agave on the side which didn’t happen. Server nowhere to be found. Ended up going up to bar to get a replacement.

Extremely slow service. They said to wait for a birthday treat for my brother and never brought it out. We ended up just leaving. Will not be coming back even though we enjoyed the food.

This used to be one of my favorite taco places but now I'm not sure I'd go back. My party had a reservation and they made us wait until 3 out of 5 of us were there to be seated, which would be fair, however, this isn't stated anywhere when making the reservation nor were we told that when the first person arrived. All the hostess said was "We'll get your table ready." Once I got there, I checked on the table and she said they don't seat incomplete parties. Totally fine - but at almost 5 pm, the place was nearly empty minus the bar area. They seated us and with HH ending in 5 minutes, our server didn't mention it to us. It wasn't until another server passed by and mentioned it. We also had to get moved to a different table because their AC was dripping on our table (they later sat a different party there!). When we got moved to the other table, they came over and said we only had less than an hour for our meal since they have a 2 hr limit - again, never mentioned to us when seated. They didn't have two tequila brands that we wanted for shots - they ended up giving us mediocre tequila (the label wasn't even really visible) and proceeded to charge us $19 a pop. With drinks being nearly $20 each, chips no longer being free (not mentioned when we said yes to them), and mediocre service - I'd say this isn't a place I'm longing to go back to anytime soon.

The staff was great. Our server was very helpful with our menu questions. Someone actually turned the music down for us! the food was very good - some tacos better than others - the chicken tacos were absolutely fabulous! We had watermelon-hibiscus aguas frescas that tasted like summer - perfect.

Took about 10 minutes to be greeted by our server, but as a server myself I am patient and forgiving. Manager walked by 2-3 times noticing we hadn’t been greeted and didn’t bother to greet us. We ordered the guacamole with Parmesan as a starter. Chips were salty and delicious and the salsa was flavorful. Guacamole with Parmesan is not a thing nor should it ever be, but that’s on me lol. Would do better with some subtle Parmesan shavings instead of big fat chunks lazily thrown about the guac. Margarita was good but def overpriced for a meh tequila. The TACOS however!! So much flavor! I had the filet and mushroom, both were some of the best I’ve ever had. It’s hard to judge a restaurant on a slow Monday night, but we enjoyed our meal overall at Puesto. Some hits and some misses but I’ll go back for sure on a taco Tuesday. $10 margaritas and 1/2 off tacos from what I saw advertised.

I arrived early at 3:50 with a 4:00 pm reservation, I got sat right away and was never greeted for over 25 minutes. We had to get up and tell the host that no server had greeted us. Drinks were great (they better be for $18-20 per drink) Food is good but very pricey for what little you’re getting. I don’t mind paying a big bill as long as the experience matches the price && this was not it. We spent $50/per person. The restaurant was also incredibly hot, we were all sweating and fanning ourselves which took away from the experience. We won’t be back.

We arrived at our reservation time and waited 15 minutes to be seated only to then wait over an hour and a half to get our food. We ordered 4 tacos. Wait staff did not attempt to make frequent stops to check in on us and we were promptly rushed out of the restaurant. Will not be returning.

We had a reservation, but was told that there was a wait for our table. The table that the host then proceeded to bring us to was a cocktail standing table-which was not what we agreed to. The server then disappears for a half hour, we weren’t served our food until an hour later. I’m not sure if there was a manager on the floor. Left a bad taste in my mouth.

A very different ambience & feel at this location, good music playing and the service was great! Very flavorful tacos, and sides. The Caesar salad with kale not a favorite. Wish for a chili relleno and enchilada choice on the menu someday. Parking was a bit far for my husband to walk. We were there for Taco Tuesday so appreciated the value discount. Spent our money on multiple margaritas!!!

I had been to Puesto in Anaheim. This was my first time in Irvine. The restaurant and tables setup is weird. There is a big metal and wood separating each table in half in the middle section and blocking the waiter to reach the table!!! So weird. And it causes many issues. First the service wasn’t that good. The noise level was high so they could barely hear us. Then he spilled water on the table since he hit the wood rod in the middle of the table. Then dropped forks and spoons. I asked for extra tortilla bread and they never came! Then it was showing on the bill. At the end I asked to remove the charge for extra tortillas so he left and came back with another bill. It was STILL on the bill and he didn’t take it off! I was like whatever it’s just $2. Only good part were the chips and dips had refills, habanero margarita was good and he gave us a complimentary mango cake since it took them a looong time to bring the desert. Hint: get chips and salsa and ask for back to back chips refills since if you are ordering tacos they are super tiny like street tacos and $9 each. They taste good but not filling at all. You probably need 5 tacos to match with Rubios 3 tacos meal!

The food was fairly good. My carnitas taco meat was a little tough to bite into. We ordered two orders of guacamole for our table of 9 as soon as our waiter first spoke to us, but that was never delivered (we weren't charged for it either). We were all a little sad to miss a favorite treat. It was a little chilly in there. There are overhead heaters but no one offered to turn them on. Overall I was a bit disappointed.

We are fans of Puesto and this location is convenient to the airport. It is not our favorite location due to noise level, layout of tables and parking hassle. Tacos are really good , but missed the Tres Leches cake

The ambience is great, however the noise level was a bit high to have any kind of discussion. The food was delicious BUT way over priced! 9-$12 for a street sized taco with no side and they charge for the chips and salsa. Too expensive, I won’t be going back

First off, food was delicious. But that's about where the good ends. Service was very slow (20 minutes to get chips & salsa, 40 minutes to actually order our dinner), there were multiple mistakes (brought us the wrong drink, tried to charge us for said wrong drink, mixed up appetizers with the table next to us), and all of this was met without a single apology! Mistakes and slow service happens, I get that it can get busy... no biggie. But not an "I'm sorry" or "let me fix that for you" throughout the entire meal... come on man :( I probably wouldn't go back if the tacos weren't so dang good!

We like the ambiance, but always get stuffed into a table in the less than optimal spot. Perhaps age discrimination, as the younger people tend to get better tables. We had a new server and her trainer wasn’t coordinating well with her. Had to wait too long for drinks, and the restaurant wasn’t busy. The prices are high for what you get. Very small tacos, salads, etc. Alcohol is expensive also. And they nickel and dime you, even having to pay extra for tortillas. Crazy. We may come back, but Cha Cha’s Latin Grill in Tustin will remain our basic “go to” for good food and more reasonable prices.

My loved our server Lorine (if I’m not mistaken) she was so sweet. When I wasn’t sure which beer I want to order she brought me tasters. I would love to see her again. This time the music was too loud and our tacos came cold, but things happen and we understand :)
