Puerto San Lucas Ratings and Reviews
We have been to this restaurant each visit to Cabo and have enjoyed the food and the excellent pianist that plays during dinner. I had the tortini and the salad Provençal and it was vary good. My husband had the seafood fettuccini and the scallops and calimari were very spongy and tough. What we did notice that there were only three tables of people in this huge room, but our reservations were at 8:00. We wanted a 7:30 reservation but that was not offered on open table. I would recommend they add on the half hr reservations to open table , or if you want a reservation on the half hour, to go at that time. The pianist is absolutely fantastic—and he plays Fight of the Bumblebee very well!
There was a special seafood and lobster night on the evening of our reservation. There was a salad and dessert bar with table service for the drinks and entrees. The salad bar was not good. There was a green salad, raw cauliflower and broccoli as well as grilled carrot slices. There was a loaf of bread on a cutting board with a knife but no napkin or towel to hold the bread while cutting so people used their hands. Nothing had much flavor
I had the scallop skewers and my husband had lobster tails. The scallops were quite good and there were two large lobster tails in my husbands order. The lobster was tough and dry. Desserts were OK
Service was excellent. The waiter and assistant waiter were very attentive.
Slow service. Took an hour to get our food with almost no one in the restaurant. Flies were buzzing around the table. When we did get our food, it was wrong and had to be sent back. Food was not a large portion for the amount of money paid. We have gotten much larger portions for less at other restaurants in Cabo. Won't be back.
We travel to Cabo often and have always enjoyed this location. Parking is easy and away from the craziness of downtown. Sadly, the restaurant was nearly empty, prices are quoted in dollars and, for an empty establishment, the service was rather poor. Unfortunately, this will be our last visit.
Since this was New Years and we had not been in town at all since starting our vacation, we thought this would be a good start. The service was way too long, the restaurant didn't have any options and the New Year's Eve inner was subpar. My sister, husband, and goddaughter do not eat red meat, that's all they had. The salads were wilted and not good at all and the soup and the warm food tasted like Chinese...all in all, we will never go back to this restaurant
We had a great family meal at Puerto San Lucas. The staff was friendly and attentive. Loved the table side food preparation including salads, main course and Mexican coffee. We had an 8 month old with us and they did there best to entertain him and provide us with special treatment. I highly recommend Puerto San Lucas if you visit Cabo!
