Celebrating a birthday— outstanding, friendly service and delicious Southern food at reasonable prices. Great music too. A real treat for this New Yorker. I stop in every time I’m in Middle Tennessee.
My brother was in town from South Carolina for business. I gave him several options for dinner. He chose Puckett's. We both ordered the Piggy Mac. Both dishes were outstanding. The groups, Steel Blossoms, performed a great show. The servers provided good service. Great overall experience.
Great birthday dinner out. My husband came in from Chicago to celebrate my birthday while I was in Murpheesboro for business. I knew the right place to go for great food and music. Casual environment with homemade food. BBQ chicken was fantastic. Huge salads loaded with meat. Service was attentive in a very busy place. Music is always top notch. Great sound in such a small place. He was absolutely taken by Puckett’s and the quite downtown on a Saturday night. Fabulous evening with music ending at a reasonable 9pm. Great for the older crowd just looking for a nice dinner with great country music.
Love going to Puckett’s!
Everything is very good at Puckett’s. The menu is primarily “down home” cooking with a few twists. The craft beer selection is excellent.
What we like best is that Puckett’s is an outstanding music venue. They bring in good acts, the sound is excellent, and the sight lines are good.
Thankfully we had made a reservation and were seated instantly, even though others were waiting at the door. Last time I was there I found them to carry Brandy - this time they said they only had Peach flavored Brandy - so my cocktail experience wasn't what it could have been. Server was very busy. The space is chilly - front door opens to the dining room. My chicken meal was great, my hubby's potatoes were luke warm. Portions are large. The chicken strip appetizer with fries totally could have been my meal. A cobbler is defiantly shareable for 2 or more people - though they'd already run out of the featured flavor of the day by the time we ordered at 7:30ish. Front row to the singer, but not so loud you couldn't still have a conversation. I loved this place and will be back.
The wait staff was very helpful and polite but she had 7 tables on a busy Saturday night. The food was good but not great. We did have a great time with friends. We did have a reservation but there wasn’t a table for 5 and wait would have been 25 min. They were very helpful and we put 5 at a table if 4 so it worked for us. Can’t say enough about how nice everyone was. Thanks!
This is a great place to catch a nice dinner and some acoustic music. This is the 2nd Puckett's location we've been to and both this one and Franklin location are comparably fine for service, food and entertainment. Basic southern food menu- lots of things with gravy- but done really nicely. They can cook a steak or salmon medium rare & get it right. Nice beer selection and they can mix a good cocktail, It's a good value and a nice night out.
Was told I was one of the first to make reservations. We got there early and was placed in a place at the end of the stage with a view of one band member. We watched others request different tables and were accommodated. Our party of four saw a open table asked and were told no. After that the people who were supposed to share out table arrived, requested another table and were moved. The food was mass prepared two in our party sent it back for something else. E-mailed Pucketts of Murfreesboro but did not get a reply.
Really enjoyed the entire experience. Our family of 6 ordered the Brisket Salad, Smoked Meatloaf, and Brisket sliders. All of our food was very good.
Took over 30 minutes to get a dessert that was cold. Understaffed and kitchen was backed up. Waitress tried but went more than half the meal without drinks. The meal took forever.
We specifically made reservations because The Mighty Train Wrecks were playing. We thoroughly enjoyed them, the food, and the service was great! Looking forward to Februrary 14th with the Cleverlys!
We had reservations at 7 for a party of 6, of which 2 were children We were seated right away but it went downhill from there. 2 waters, 2 hot chocolate, coffee and a jack and Coke. Waters were delivered,. Server did not know cobbler of the day and had to leave to find out. Once the orders were taken for brisket sliders, and 4 desserts he was gone again at 7:30 finally brought coffee and got chocolate saying he had had to take the party of 20 order first??! At about 7:40 the sliders with hard buns were delivered and not until 7:50 did the desserts arrive! The live music was good although pretty loud and the dining room was not busy other than the large party. No manager checking on tables. This was our first visit to the Murfreesboro location and disappointing.
Food was awful. Ordered Ribs and they were tough and like rubber. Employees acted like they were too good to be working in a restaurant.
Everyone's food was good with the exception of the BBQ brisket which was under cooked and almost flavorless. The salmon was slightly over cooked and dry but otherwise good. The desert was the best thing we all had.
We dined on New Years eve and it was not too busy. Our food was very good and the server we had was really spot on. We enjoyed our dinner and would come back again.
Good taste of Tennessee food, great appetizers and location.
Good food but the service is slow
Fun southern place.
The food was over cooked. Everything fried was overcooked from the fried green tomatoes to the chicken. The appetizer was so bad we asked to have it precooked. The waitress should have never brought it to the table. No apologies were offered. The value of the food is just okay and when the food is not to par it's no value.at all. We did enjoy the entertainment and topped him nicely. We also topped our waitress nicely as we always give 20 to 30 percent. But there is something to be said about wait staff, you should not have them to return burnt food. They should observe that before they serve it. You also should not have to ask for drink refills or how much lo get will the food be.
Had reservations and got right in as soon as we arrived. Our server was spot on. The band was awesome!! The Mighty Train Wrecks was their name. You should have them back for sure.
Always a good experience! Great food and great music
Great food and atmosphere!
Great food! Live music was great quality and the servers were over the top helpful!
It was good but it was not enough food for the price
Our food and service was excellent.
I was very disappointed that I brought an out of town guest there (and believe me, I had lots of other choices) and made reservations. When I arrived I was told that "walk-ups were staying longer than planned and I would need to wait". I wanted over 20 minutes before they people who had NO reservation enjoyed a long stay and I had to wait. Poor planning on your part! It meant something I had planned for later had to be rescheduled.
That and you no longer serve catfish? REALLY?
WE REALLY ENJOYED THE FOOD AND THE SONGWRITERS SHOW. 3 OF THE 4 PEOPLE AT OUR TABLE WANTED THE SPECIAL WHICH WAS CATFISH AND THEY WERE OUT OF CATFISH AT 7:00 IN THE EVENING. I ALSO WANTED THE OCTOBER BEER SPECIAL WHICH THEY WERE ALSO OUT OF :(. OTHER THAN THAT EVERYTHING WAS GOOD.
We had a great evening, celebrating our grandson’s birthday. Heidi was a wonderful server, and accommodated our birthday cake with candles lit, singing and all! It was very special and Elijah have a most special night. Our meals were all great, and it was a good value for the price. Thanks for making the evening so special.
We were in town for a family event and had a date night with food and music great show
Good food and enjoyed hearing the live music. The Cobb salad was really good with fried chicken tenders.
Good food. Band was ok
Food was too salty. The waitress was excellent.
Great food, great service and nice environment
Dinner was very good (I really enjoyed the deep-fried brownie and ice cream), and seeing the Road Crew made it worth the price. I will keep an eye open for other shows to come see over dinner at Puckett's.
We like to make it a point to eat here every time we visit our son! Great food! Love the live music, and the service is great!
It took 15 minutes for someone to take our drink order and another 30 minutes to get our drinks. We frequently visit during lunch and have had wonder experiences. This was the first dinner/Friday night visit and it was not very good.
Appetizers were great (chicken wings and nachos) my wifes entree (strawberry spinach salad) she said was alright, i had the ribs maybe just an off nite but the tenderness and juiciness was missing really let down because the chicken wings had me expecting something great for 27 bucks. The bloody mary was awesome but i took the glass because 10 dollars was a little excessive especially since you didnt get much garnish with the drink. Atmosphere was awesome though i really liked the inside of the restaurant but the tables need to be a bit bigger. The table was crammed for space an extra 8 to 12 inches on table space would make a huge difference for eating comfortably
First time there. Band was loud. Could not carry on a table conversation once they started. This size room would be more suited for a two or three piece acoustic type bluegrass, country, etc. type band. No real vegetarian dishes other that the Portabella burger. Green beans have ham or bacon so not a choice for veggie plate. You should make your 1:00 to 3:00 menu choices available at all times. Your heavy on BBQ choices.
I made reservations online and the store did have have them!!! But you sent me this survey! Doesn’t make since what so ever! I kinda enjoyed the meal but I was to upset to enjoy it. It was my husbands birthday dinner and it was ruined because we had to sit outside due to our reservations being lost! The manager said it was an oversite due to trivia night but I think I should have gotten a text or email saying my reservation was canceled!
