Came here for colleagues’ bday celebrations. Happy Hour has nice, string drinks. Didn’t have too many options for HH food. Food was excellent, perfect portions. Waiters were attentive. Overall good experience. I’d recommend as well as come back.
disappointed with Margarita pizza. Too heavy with too much tomato sauce - had to ask for parmesan. Made reservation and noted Special Occasion but it was never recognized by staff. Great location but I would have to say overall the visit was mediocre.
Good food they were able to accommodate my party of 10 same day reservation. Good pizza for kids meal. The seafood pasta was good and for dessert a root beer float how is that?
Our visit was punctuated by constant attention by the serving staff. The hot water was always replenished with a smile, the table was always quickly cleared and cleaned after someone finished with the meal and the food was delivered hot and quickly after ordering. Loved the ambience and the ability to have a conversation with friends. A place to recommend for the fresh food and the atmosphere that encourages conversation and friendships while eating and drinking.
The food was so great and I was eating alone and the server recommended 1/2 serving it was great.
I enjoyed the physical plant, the service but found the food too salty for my taste and I do eat out quite often. both the entree and side dish of brusel sprouts were over salted
the sorbet was delicious and a good palette cleanser after too much salt.
I specifically requested for a seat close to the entry/egress, but the hostess did not have a clue about such a request. What’s the point of indicating such a request on the online reservation when no one from the establish reads it?
Met a friend I had not seen in ages to catch up. Had portobello sandwich with soup of the day butternut squash...delish
She had prosciutto sandwich and we had a good catch-up.
Lovely place, good service and excellent food.
Check it out
Great food and service.
Great Ceasar salad. Very hopping place. Service good considering how busy it was!
Perfect spot for some great Italian served in a comfortable atmosphere. The meal was delicious and the service was excellent. All in all a great experience!
This is a must dining experience for us every time we come to San Francisco. The food is always excellent and the service is as well. Next time you're there ask for Angel. He is a great server.
Amy was amazing! So thoughtful in recommendations. I wish her the best in learning the guitar!
Excellent service and the Italian dishes were authentic and delicious!
We had a very nice waitress and the host was very nice offering the "kids" menu to our daughter with special needs. He nicely wonder if she wanted the crayons and order from that menu. Vey nice. We came at a weird time beach lunch is not offer on Sundays but we made it just in time to eat from the brunch menu
Waiter was clueless. Did not know specials or menu.
They were out of wines on their list.
Asked for Penne Vodka and was told we had to buy the vodka at the bar!
Table of 10, and was told they could only split the bill 4 times. Finally was able to after complaints. Then automatically added 20% to the bill!
Great food at this place. I went with the special which was Cavatelli pasta and also included garlic, corn, mozzarella, Roma tomatoes, fennel sausage and browned butter. One of the best pasta dishes I can recall! Wife had the Chicken Marsala which was fantastic. we split a delicious warm spinach salad. This is a very tasty place!!
Great meal experience.
I have eaten at Puccini & Pinetti several times as it is located across from Parc 55 in Union Square. The food is solid. i.e. it is not gourmet Italian ( whatever that is), but rather working class Italian food, well prepared, and what you would expect with a restaurant-bar version of an Italian restaurant. Service was excellent and the staff very attentive. Somewhat expensively priced, but if you are already in the area, worth the walk.
Amazing food and atmosphere. The restaurant is next to a nice hotel so that you can stay overnight in case the food was too much.
Pedi de entrada un Carpaccio que estuvo muy bueno pero el Risotto con Langostinos que comi de plato principal verdaderamente no tenía nada de especial.
Food was lacking, experience was no big deal.
Food was not go and extremely over-priced. None of our meals were good. Great location and server was excellent
First time visit - this was a nice date night location. Great service, delicious fresh food and
Just an OK dining experience. Food was bland and uninteresting.
Service was good.
Delightful lunch w/good friend b4 theatre
spinach salad with salmon. food was ok. spinach had to much balsamic wilted the spinach and made the mushrooms and spinach dark brown unattractive presentation. focaccia bread ice cold would be nice if it was warm
Relaxing trip to SF with sisters
Enjoyed eating there for the 2nd time and enjoyed everything and will always go back
The service and your crew did more than expected and loved it
Service was good
Puccini and Pinetti never fails! This place is great for a pre-theater dinner or post museum happy hour.
Food was very tasty. Service was good. Only real complaint was that it was really uncomfortably cold throughout our long Sunday lunch.
My mussels were terrible! I told my server and they were taken off the bill. I ordered a simple grilled chicken breast which was v good. I wouldnt go again though.
Celebrating a birthday with a friend whose birthday is next month.
She had three course lunch with chicken marsalla and was pleased.
I had beet salad and lemon cheesecake....iced tea all around.
Waiter most efficient and friendly, kept those glasses and water full.
We enjoyed our visit, the meal, the service, and the quiet.
Good location for pre-theater dinner. Nice ambiance and good service; waitress asked if we were going to A.C.T. performance and gave us complimentary bruschetta. Unfortunately the food is average at best.
Lunch service not made within 60 minutes, a service charge of 50$due to extra time over 60 minutes during JPMorgan week... Last time I go there... Used to be good, just got bad, real bad...
We had reservations for the Museum of Ice Cream and I saw Puccini and Pinetti was a six minute walk from the Museum and who doesn't like Italian food. These was a great find and we will be back. The fried calamari and rock ship with the spicy sauce was a tasty beginning. We ordered two pizzas, spaghetti and meatballs and the cappelini. All were great and it was great sharing. I also recommend you stop by for their Happy Hour if you can.
This is first time I have had a terrible meal in San Francisco. The food was bland and mediocre. The only exception was the service which was exceptional. Unfortunately, that was all that was great. I will never eat here again.
Found this place on line and took a chance...had a wonderful meal with excellent service from Elvis!
Margarita equates to about 3 sips. Tiny glass about half full.
GREAT location. FANTASTIC service. LOVELY ambience. Bland food. Disappointed with all of our dishes. My husband had a penne dish that looked full of flavor - was not. I ordered their signature spaghetti and meatballs and it looked amazing... and lacked any distinguishing flavor. Mild tomato, underspiced beef. The presentation was wonderful and we LOVED the wait staff. May try again hoping this was an off night during the busy Union Square holiday season.
