Puccini & Pinetti Ratings and Reviews
This was my first time and I enjoyed the whole experience. From the moment I walked through the doors the customer service began. The food was beyond what I had expected and the portion is generous enough to ask for a doggie bag. I would recommend this as a great place for business meetings, a casual lunch with friends and for a quick lunch alone. Great place and the price is just right!
Terrible service. Overconfident chef and wait staff. I ordered steak and asked for steak sauce when it came out. I ordered my steak medium. Waiter told me they didn’t have steak sauce at all and that the chef felt his steaks were good enough where they didn’t need sauce. He didn’t notice that the steak was cooked well done. To top things off they double charged me $110 instead of charging $100. To think this is part of a hotel chain. Terrible terrible experience. I rated two stars because the rest of the group wasn’t as disappointed
My date and I stopped in for a quick bite and shared the mushroom risotto. It was quite tasty. While seated, a couple came in that wore too much cologne for both my and my dates taste. Angel was kind enough to move us where we wouldn’t be affected by the strong cologne smell. Overall a great experience and will be returning.
Joined two friends for a belated birthday splash. Sat in the booth I usually get; service
as usual very efficient, friendly, unobtrusive.
Two minestrone soups and beet salads; I had the portobello mushroom sandwich.
Enjoyed food and our conversations...

Felt more like a diner than an Italian restaurant. Although the service was terrific, the menu was limited at best...with only two pasta options in total. The focaccia bread was bland, and minestrone and pizza just okay. Gnats were swarming around the entirety of my meal. But again staff terrific...though I would not go again.
Wonderful service! Have passed this a few times in the evenings, but often busy. Made a brunch reservation in advance, and enjoyed a quieter time. Very trendy, swift and friendly service, and we loved the surroundings. Very elegant and warm decor. I'm always all about any new handcrafted cocktails to try, and they had some unique martinis and brunch sparklies. Great menu, and we will try dinner here sometime, too. Neighborhood gem!
We are longtime patrons of P&P. The food is always really good. The tapenade and bread that comes complimentary is outstanding; seafood dishes are fresh and properly prepared. Portions are generous; open kitchen is a plus. The decor and ambiance is just a bit stodgy--not horrible but definitely dated. A facelift, change of colors, seating arrangements, lighting, would do wonders. It says 70's and doesn't have appeal to today's diners. To management: give that food a way to sparkle in a great location with super surroundings. Just saying.
For starters, spinach salad, then Chicken marsala, ending wirh the lava cake with Gelato desert, yum and delicious all the way! Tuti wine recomended and was good with meal. It was our 9th aniversay and a wonderful place to be while visiting san francisco . Thank you GROUPON.
After finding positive reviews I thought this would be a great dinner spot for me while traveling. Although the staff was so attentive and friendly and helpful the food was just okay. Nothing amazing. It was average Italian cuisine. So the hype and ratings did not match my food quality. It was convenient to me since it was a short walk from my hotel but for the price it was not a great deal. Not a recommend for me.
