Puccini & Pinetti Ratings and Reviews
Everything was just perfect. We had a table for Nine and 1 Baby....We were in the back corner which was perfect for the kiddos all to ourselves......It was a quiet day which was even better!!!! My Christmas in SF with my girls in the family/Daughter in laws and grand daughters...We will go back next year for our family tradition......
The three of us ordered different appetizers salads and soup to share . The bruschetta was outstanding, the minestrone soup tasty, the warm spinach salad excellent, the pear/Gorgonzola/pancetta pizza a taste delight and the polenta was good too. We had too much to eat and staying at a hotel, we couldn’t take the leftovers.... 😞. One in our party wanted spumoni ice cream but they didn’t have it. Oh well. A great place.
We went for brunch and were disappointed. I have the crab cake Benedict and while the eggs and Hollandaise sauce were excellently prepared, I believe the crab cake was a frozen patty. Not appetizing.... not what you would expect in San Francisco. My friend had the PNP omelette and said it’s simply was adequate; She had nothing good to say about the individual components or the overall omelette. Maybe they do well for Italian dinner but they were a disappointment for brunch.
Was in town for a quick weekend getaway. Decided to try this place as our hotel was right across the street. Went with my fiancé. Got Meatballs and spaghetti for $28.00 and chicken marsala for $30.00 after the spaghetti was gone we asked for a side of penne as we still had meat sauce left and were still hungry. The serving size was small, charged $18 for just extra pasta. I thought that was ridiculous, didn’t say anything and just paid the bill. Not going back.
Excellent food! Unfortunately the service was poor. Appetizer was brought to table minutes before our lunch was served. Grilled onions were forgotten and served 5 minutes after sandwich was served. Ordered a bottle of wine, waited 10-15 minutes, and had to cancel the order because we needed to make a 2 pm show time. I believe the slow service may be limited to the server we had.
Extremely busy the night we went. Our reservation got us an ugly two seat table next to the front door. People coming, going and waiting for a table... did not make for an enjoyable visit.
And a seasonal menu came out versus the menu advertised on Open Table and website ... not great. Then the gluten free pasta was under cooked. And felt like it was an inconveniece to have to deal with food allergies even though i had indicated such on the Open Table reservation. Overall not a memorable experience.
Overpriced and low quality food. We ordered the $44 Steak and it was not tender, over cooked dry and with way too much fat. It came out with a huge pile of french fries and some rucula without dressing. Nothing fancy nor tasty. Didn’t meet my expectations for this restaurant’s ratings.
This was my first time and I enjoyed the whole experience. From the moment I walked through the doors the customer service began. The food was beyond what I had expected and the portion is generous enough to ask for a doggie bag. I would recommend this as a great place for business meetings, a casual lunch with friends and for a quick lunch alone. Great place and the price is just right!
Terrible service. Overconfident chef and wait staff. I ordered steak and asked for steak sauce when it came out. I ordered my steak medium. Waiter told me they didn’t have steak sauce at all and that the chef felt his steaks were good enough where they didn’t need sauce. He didn’t notice that the steak was cooked well done. To top things off they double charged me $110 instead of charging $100. To think this is part of a hotel chain. Terrible terrible experience. I rated two stars because the rest of the group wasn’t as disappointed
My date and I stopped in for a quick bite and shared the mushroom risotto. It was quite tasty. While seated, a couple came in that wore too much cologne for both my and my dates taste. Angel was kind enough to move us where we wouldn’t be affected by the strong cologne smell. Overall a great experience and will be returning.
Joined two friends for a belated birthday splash. Sat in the booth I usually get; service
as usual very efficient, friendly, unobtrusive.
Two minestrone soups and beet salads; I had the portobello mushroom sandwich.
Enjoyed food and our conversations...
check it out...
Felt more like a diner than an Italian restaurant. Although the service was terrific, the menu was limited at best...with only two pasta options in total. The focaccia bread was bland, and minestrone and pizza just okay. Gnats were swarming around the entirety of my meal. But again staff terrific...though I would not go again.
