Excellent pasta and the Valrhona chocolate cake is to die for. We had 7:30 concert tickets at the SF Jazz Center, arrived at 5:45, had a leisurely and delicious dinner. The waiter was knowledgeable and kept things running smoothly.

This was my first time and I enjoyed the whole experience. From the moment I walked through the doors the customer service began. The food was beyond what I had expected and the portion is generous enough to ask for a doggie bag. I would recommend this as a great place for business meetings, a casual lunch with friends and for a quick lunch alone. Great place and the price is just right!

Terrible service. Overconfident chef and wait staff. I ordered steak and asked for steak sauce when it came out. I ordered my steak medium. Waiter told me they didn’t have steak sauce at all and that the chef felt his steaks were good enough where they didn’t need sauce. He didn’t notice that the steak was cooked well done. To top things off they double charged me $110 instead of charging $100. To think this is part of a hotel chain. Terrible terrible experience. I rated two stars because the rest of the group wasn’t as disappointed

My date and I stopped in for a quick bite and shared the mushroom risotto. It was quite tasty. While seated, a couple came in that wore too much cologne for both my and my dates taste. Angel was kind enough to move us where we wouldn’t be affected by the strong cologne smell. Overall a great experience and will be returning.

Loved the variety of dishes on the menu. We had a group of 7 for dinner and everyone found something on the menu that they really enjoyed. Food was delicious and they were very accommodating to expediting our order as we had another event to attend.

Joined two friends for a belated birthday splash. Sat in the booth I usually get; service
as usual very efficient, friendly, unobtrusive.

Two minestrone soups and beet salads; I had the portobello mushroom sandwich.

Enjoyed food and our conversations...

check it out...

We went for lunch on Sunday. Site online showed "lunch" and "brunch" menus. Only brunch was available, very limited options. Quality was standard - while prices were standard+. They did not meet our expectations.

Felt more like a diner than an Italian restaurant. Although the service was terrific, the menu was limited at best...with only two pasta options in total. The focaccia bread was bland, and minestrone and pizza just okay. Gnats were swarming around the entirety of my meal. But again staff terrific...though I would not go again.

The food was ok. Very overpriced for what the food was. I could have had a really nice meal for how expensive this was, but I guess this is now standard for San Francisco. The food was mediocre and the ambiance was ok. I would not go again.

Wonderful service! Have passed this a few times in the evenings, but often busy. Made a brunch reservation in advance, and enjoyed a quieter time. Very trendy, swift and friendly service, and we loved the surroundings. Very elegant and warm decor. I'm always all about any new handcrafted cocktails to try, and they had some unique martinis and brunch sparklies. Great menu, and we will try dinner here sometime, too. Neighborhood gem!

We are longtime patrons of P&P. The food is always really good. The tapenade and bread that comes complimentary is outstanding; seafood dishes are fresh and properly prepared. Portions are generous; open kitchen is a plus. The decor and ambiance is just a bit stodgy--not horrible but definitely dated. A facelift, change of colors, seating arrangements, lighting, would do wonders. It says 70's and doesn't have appeal to today's diners. To management: give that food a way to sparkle in a great location with super surroundings. Just saying.

More casual pub style restaurant. Food was classic Italian cuisine. I had the caprese salad! One of the best! Aged balsamic and in-house made burrata cheese gave it a touch of sweet. Chicken Marsala was also impressive. I will absolutely go back!

Looked like a nice place from the outside but the food was disappointing, lacking flavour and an authentic italian taste. Portions were very large, atmosphere was nice and the service started well but finished poorly. Overpriced and I wouldn't go again.

Delicious! We came from out of state and made reservations online, which was easy. The bruschetta was amazing. I highly recommend the linguini and clams. We will eat there again when in the city.

I had the GF spaghetti and meatballs. Delicious and the portion was quite large. I took leftovers home. I had the creme brulee for dessert. It was creamy and light. They have a number of GF options. My waiter was quick, friendly and accommodating.
