My mussels were terrible! I told my server and they were taken off the bill. I ordered a simple grilled chicken breast which was v good. I wouldnt go again though.

Celebrating a birthday with a friend whose birthday is next month.

She had three course lunch with chicken marsalla and was pleased.

I had beet salad and lemon cheesecake....iced tea all around.

Waiter most efficient and friendly, kept those glasses and water full.

We enjoyed our visit, the meal, the service, and the quiet.

Good location for pre-theater dinner. Nice ambiance and good service; waitress asked if we were going to A.C.T. performance and gave us complimentary bruschetta. Unfortunately the food is average at best.

Lunch service not made within 60 minutes, a service charge of 50$due to extra time over 60 minutes during JPMorgan week... Last time I go there... Used to be good, just got bad, real bad...

We had reservations for the Museum of Ice Cream and I saw Puccini and Pinetti was a six minute walk from the Museum and who doesn't like Italian food. These was a great find and we will be back. The fried calamari and rock ship with the spicy sauce was a tasty beginning. We ordered two pizzas, spaghetti and meatballs and the cappelini. All were great and it was great sharing. I also recommend you stop by for their Happy Hour if you can.

This is first time I have had a terrible meal in San Francisco. The food was bland and mediocre. The only exception was the service which was exceptional. Unfortunately, that was all that was great. I will never eat here again.

GREAT location. FANTASTIC service. LOVELY ambience. Bland food. Disappointed with all of our dishes. My husband had a penne dish that looked full of flavor - was not. I ordered their signature spaghetti and meatballs and it looked amazing... and lacked any distinguishing flavor. Mild tomato, underspiced beef. The presentation was wonderful and we LOVED the wait staff. May try again hoping this was an off night during the busy Union Square holiday season.

Went to restaurant to have dinner with friends. The food was good dependable Italian nothing to fancy. The drinks from the bar were good. Check out the bar menu if you don't want a large meal, they have some great options. The main restaurant was noisy but clean. I had spaghetti and meatballs. They were good. The sauce was pretty dry and could have used more tomato.
I would go again but not at the top of my list.

Perfectly prepared dishes, wonderful flavors and textures. The pork chop was tender, juicy and flavorful. Chicken Marsala was served with a wonderfully rich sauce. Highly recommend adding grilled shrimp to any pasta dish as they were excellent.

The food was good. The service was excellent. Disappointed to see that they raised all of their prices for Christmas Eve. If I knew I was going to pay $$$ prices I would have chosen differently, I did my research and didn’t expect that. Our server was great. Atmosphere was nice.

Food was average and menu was very limited. There must have been a staffing problem on the night we were there. Server was rushed and rushing around. Long waits for refills, order additions etc. No way are the prices reflective of the quality.

We requested a more quiet table and the hostess seated us at a booth that was more away from the crowd. The bar area was very lively and yes, loud. No worries though. The food was very fresh and prices were not unexpected - not cheap but not outrageous. We had happy hour glasses of wine which was actually quite tasty. I recommend getting there at 5:15 or before 6:00 anyway. After that it becomes quite crowded and loud. Overall, very good Italian neighborhood restaurant.

The three of us ordered different appetizers salads and soup to share . The bruschetta was outstanding, the minestrone soup tasty, the warm spinach salad excellent, the pear/Gorgonzola/pancetta pizza a taste delight and the polenta was good too. We had too much to eat and staying at a hotel, we couldn’t take the leftovers.... 😞. One in our party wanted spumoni ice cream but they didn’t have it. Oh well. A great place.

We dine here several times a year . . . usually when seeing a nearby play.

It's a good solid option, but it's not an exceptional place. Food is predictably good but seldom remarkable. Same for the service. Waiters are usually good, but maybe they have a few more tables than they should have. Wine is on the pricey side.

This time it was Friday night and the place was hoppin'. On other days and time, it's typically a little more pleasant. I prefer seating by the windows -- on the periphery of the sometimes noisy core. The bonus is sometimes is unexpected entertainment (see the guy in the photo).

This is our "go-to" restaurant when going to the theater. They make sure we are out in plenty of time to get to the theater. Varied menu with some real favorites and good wine selection. Sometimes they even have offers through Groupon.

We went for brunch and were disappointed. I have the crab cake Benedict and while the eggs and Hollandaise sauce were excellently prepared, I believe the crab cake was a frozen patty. Not appetizing.... not what you would expect in San Francisco. My friend had the PNP omelette and said it’s simply was adequate; She had nothing good to say about the individual components or the overall omelette. Maybe they do well for Italian dinner but they were a disappointment for brunch.

Was in town for a quick weekend getaway. Decided to try this place as our hotel was right across the street. Went with my fiancé. Got Meatballs and spaghetti for $28.00 and chicken marsala for $30.00 after the spaghetti was gone we asked for a side of penne as we still had meat sauce left and were still hungry. The serving size was small, charged $18 for just extra pasta. I thought that was ridiculous, didn’t say anything and just paid the bill. Not going back.

Excellent food! Unfortunately the service was poor. Appetizer was brought to table minutes before our lunch was served. Grilled onions were forgotten and served 5 minutes after sandwich was served. Ordered a bottle of wine, waited 10-15 minutes, and had to cancel the order because we needed to make a 2 pm show time. I believe the slow service may be limited to the server we had.

Extremely busy the night we went. Our reservation got us an ugly two seat table next to the front door. People coming, going and waiting for a table... did not make for an enjoyable visit.
And a seasonal menu came out versus the menu advertised on Open Table and website ... not great. Then the gluten free pasta was under cooked. And felt like it was an inconveniece to have to deal with food allergies even though i had indicated such on the Open Table reservation. Overall not a memorable experience.

Overpriced and low quality food. We ordered the $44 Steak and it was not tender, over cooked dry and with way too much fat. It came out with a huge pile of french fries and some rucula without dressing. Nothing fancy nor tasty. Didn’t meet my expectations for this restaurant’s ratings.
