Do not bring your clients or customers here. I struggled to focus on the conversation because I was so embarrassed about the restaurant. Food was mediocre at best. Prices did not reflect the quality of the food. Services was fair, the server struggled to communicate - however I had a feeling he was trying his best despite the quality of the restaurant. Overall I would give this place a pass.
First time here and we were very impressed. Service was good and attentive. Bar is very energetic and a bit loud for conversation. Bartender was accommodating even with being slammed. Food was plentiful even with split plates and very tasty! Look forward to going again.
Dinner terrific, but bruschetta and molten chocolate desserts were killers! Back to SF in Feb, can't wait to try other dishes!
Lunch disappointing. Limited menu. But quite tasty. Service slow
Always my primary dinner place on SFO stops. Tasty food, quick service.
I ordered poorly. The Bisteca was over cooked as it came medium plus when I had ordered medium rare plus. Even so I had zero flavor or seasoning.
We had to pay 2 gratuities ! Éven if the server Paco has been very nice and attentioned to us, it was too expensive for a dinner with family
The food is always great and our waiter- Angel - is fantastic. We highly recommend this establishment.
P&P is a good value for the price which is in line with the area. Good food tasty.
excellent food complimented with excellent service
Great pre-theater venue. The food is good and the service is very good. Also it has a good bar. Perfect for what we needed before going to the Golden Gate Theater.
Angel was very good at making sure we were taken care of.
Nice Italian Restaurant option in the Union Square area.
Trop copieux. Bon mais pas raffiné
Dinner before a show, so we chose a variety of dishes to share, starting with their delicious Bruschetta - fresh sourdough served with stewed tomatoes (!), goat cheese and balsamic vinegar drizzle... very generous portions and excellent! We also shared the beet salad and Carpaccio (very good, although we would have preferred a few more capers), and ended with the mushroom risotto - yummy! Fortunately, we are all fans of arugula, which appeared on all the dishes except the risotto. We would definitely go back :)
We were seated near the kitchen and it was pretty hot in there.. other than that, the food and drinks served are awesome..
Sitting by the window and watching the world go by is great, food is also good and the assorted olive app is awesome. We go here every time we are in town.
They did a good job serving a large group of business colleagues. The original table the had for us was ridiculously small, but they added a table when we asked.
Diverse appetites and diets at the table. Everyone seems to really like what they ordered.
Service was good, which isn't easy for a large group.
Food was bad- tasteless, watery clams, terrible sauce with meatballs. service was poor. Definitely gone down in quality.
Appreciated the availability of Gluten Free beer as well as all the other gluten free food options. I really liked the fact that the food was served very hot. (none of this luke-warm BS!)
Puccini & Pinetti is a place I frequently go because it is dependable good and reasonable. Located close to ACT, it is also convenient.
Good food, relaxed atmosphere was perfect for our pre-theater dinner
The restaurant was not very busy at 1:10 pm, post the lunch rush. Yet it took 15 minutes before anyone even came to the host desk to acknowledge us and seat us. The service was horribly show too. The food is overpriced and the portions tiny. I don't think I'll be back. Can't imagine dealing with this when they're packed.
We have been going to Puccini & Pinetti for several years. They changed their menu. There were 4 of us dining, and we ordered 4 different meals. All of our meals were so-so, not good. Dang!!!
Took awhile to order drinks/appetizers upon being seated (about 15 min). Found out 2 waiters were on breaks. Perhaps I won't make my reservations at 5:30, instead at 6:00pm.
Our Beginnings was a plate of Bruchetta and that was amazing. Services was on point and consistent. There was a drink I did not like but was able to trade it without any problems. I ordered the Rose Penne, the server did warned me it would be spicy. But I loved it and it’s the perfect spicy.
Angel was our waiter. He is a master at his trade. All the wait staff is pleasant & friendly. Easy walking distance to the Golden Gate Theater. An exceptional spot.
Early dinner reservations and the restaurant was fairly empty so we were seated quickly. Service seemed slower than it should have been given the number of patrons. Food came out quickly and was tasty. Portion size was good to hearty. Happy Hour crab cake could have used a bit more crab and less filler. Fig Pizza from the main menu is a favorite.
Paco is excellent. The food was superb! And their wine list is not shabby either! I love this place.
Met during a protest across the street. No one disturbed....
Our waiter Elvis, the best. Good recommendations.
Soup salad, sandwich....all good.
Check it out
The food seemed good. Salad was fresh, but didn't really have salad as a meal option unless you wanted to add meat. Not many dairy free options. Everyone else seemed happy though. Portions for non-salad options were large. Be warned the gentleman behind us was very upset because the lasagna dish did not have any meat in it. So if you order the lasagna, don't expect meat. It's a nice cute place, the menu is definitely for cheese lovers.
The food was amazing!! Tasty & yummy! Service was great!
Swift, attentive service and delicious entrees - I am.glad we paid another visit to Puccini & Panetti.
Delicious food. It's been over 5 years since I've last been able to visit and they did not disappoint. The food was delicious and didn't disappoint!
Too noisy, food uninteresting, too much money for too little quality and imagination -- we will not return
I’ve eaten here almost every time I’ve come up to City for theater. It never disappoints! The special of day pasta (all of us ordered) was delicious. Veggies, shrimp, fennel Sausage and Brown butter sauce.
Waiter was excellent!! Personable and attentive.
Must try the fig pizza - it was delicious! Linguine and clams was amazing as well.
P&P drastically changed their menu and removed all of the good, unique dishes in the process. This was a disservice to long time customers. Now there is nothing unique about the restaurant- it feels like a tourist trap with basic food for unsophisticated palates. Sad! Bring back our favorites!
Food was good. Service very slow
Es war sehr laut und das Essen war OK.
Etwas viel Hektik
