Service was excellent and food very good.
Great atmosphere and great location. I live in the So bay and this is a great meeting spot for me and my friends who live in the West valley area. Food is very good and the menu offers something for everyone. Highly recommend!
Great food and good service. The outdoor patio is just way too loud. Hard to have a pleasant chill brunch
Nice, spacious spot for good grub and brews. Convenient location to Sherman Oaks Galleria
Great place foa business lunch.
Eggs and pancakes were cold so we had to send them back. Server graciously replaced our order.
Delicious as usual
If a server is going to wear a mask, wear it completely or at least let the diners know you’re vaccinated.
Next, if you have 90% vacancy at the restaurant, probably worth not putting two different parties next to each other or at least have them seat one table apart…
There’s a little thing called a pandemic happening right now, so every small step helps stop the spread.
Service is excellent
I forgot how amazing this place is! Always fun to dine here! Great food, awesome staff.
Great food. Spotty service.
Public School 818 is a great restaurant and deserves to be open for a while. They are clearly understaffed at the moment though. Even though we made a reservation, we were told up front that our food would arrive late. We still asked to be seated and the service staff warmed up to us as the evening moved along.
Food was good with a nice variety of offerings. Staff was friendly but it seemed to take a bit long for things to come out and they weren't at the same time.
Noise level on that patio was too much so we had to ask to be moved inside. They happily agreed.
Good value drinks and food for about 25 each
I'd eat there again
Arrived on time was seated outdoors little to loud so we asked to sit in doors which we did. Service was great , food was delicious, ordered the ahi poke / chips & watermelon salad so so good combination was perfect. Would definitely come back again. 👍
Not super clean and the food was okay
Great place to meet a friend after work. Staff was attentive, but not too much.
A perfect place for a casual business lunch because of good food food and easy on/off from 405.
Waiter was MIA for long periods. Spice-sensitive member of our party asked him if a shrimp pasta dish was spicy, he said it was pretty mild. We all tried it and it was extremely spicy. Had to share our dishes so everyone could get some kind of food. Let him know afterwards, he apologized but didn’t even offer a discount or to comp the dish. Meals brought out at very different times, and substitutions were wrong.
The parking is tricky and the lot was full when I got there. I had to drive around for 10 + minutes looking for a spot. I swore I’d never go there again. However, the service and the food was outstanding! Just give yourself extra time to find street parking at a meter if necessary.
Server and hostess were great. The food was delicious. I hope people can get back to work so restaurants can be full like before Covid. I’ve really missed PS 818
The menu has changed since the re-opening and the food was not great.
Always a great , consistent experience - excellent fresh food and great service.
Noise level indoors is great - outdoor noise level is pretty loud (Traffiic noise)
I booked a reservation here as well as a few others, and they were closed. And because the reservation had started I was unable to cancel and book somewhere else for dinner. Frustrating that they couldn’t update their reservation. System to avoid all of us driving to the restaurants.
When I arrived at the restaurant the doors were locked. You should not be taking reservations for places that are closed. I called their number and the recording does not indicate they are closed either.
LOCATION WAS CLOSED...OPENTABLE STILL TOOK THE RESERVATION AND...CONFIRMED IT!
The restaurant was closed, due to outside seating restrictions that were sited in a message posted at the location, by the restaurant.
Unfortunately, this was not noted on OpenTable, when making the reservation.
Further digging exposed a strategy by the restaurant to remain closed until further notice.
I would not recommend the restaurant, until more details are made available to the public.
They were closed.
hi great times and menu great ed quinoa and penaut colewlawy real godo waiters and specialty drinks a great patio and when the pmian room opens it is so cute the way it is decorated a fan gab
too noisy because of political horn honking nearby
but a very good restaurant with reasonable prices and easy parking next door
Good service. Good food. Good value. Public School is handling this pandemic well, and I hope they continue to do so and survive.
Good hangout for COVID times :)
they are all godo waiters i come there a lot lately great patio onne of the best great specialty ddrinks and original food rachel really rocks and they are all good the design in side is also creative a great time gab
Too noisy with trucks and car brakes screeching throughout the lunch. Food is blah and greasy. Service was very good.
We decided to try public school 818 since we knew they had outdoor dining. They were obviously understaffed due to Covid-19 as there was one server for the entire patio and a host/busser (10+ tables) they both were great but drink and food service was slow, and our cocktails had very little flavor (My friend had like a blackberry mule which was ok and i has a strawberry margarita sort of thing that was blamed and watery). We had tried to order a Bloody Mary but they were out. Again it’s Covid-19 so we were expecting a limited menu and slower service so we weren’t really bothered by any of it, we didn’t want to complain about the drinks either because we were just happy they were open and trying to do their thing during the crisis. Edamame hummus was delish, my friend had a PB & J burger she said was awesome, the Brussels sprouts were just ok. I think they did a good job considering what they have to work with (only outdoor dining, limited hours, wearing Face masks and shields and having to run around). We will be back, during Covid and after.
Took COVID19 seriously, server wore a mask and face shieldand gloves, individually wrapped one-time use plastic silverware. Crispy chicken sandwich and Lincoln Beer hazy IPA were awesome.
Food was delicious! Outside seating only. There is a BLM protest on the corner of Sepulveda it’s very loud with cars honking constantly. That was the only downfall. It’s great to see them out there but, when you’re trying to have a meal and it’s so loud you can’t talk with your friend it’s not the best. but, service was good and they kept the covid restrictions.
overall 2n reviews gerat place love to sit on opatio great food and fun place g gold
This was our first time at Public House even though we live fairly close by. I ordered the roasted chicken salad with quinoa and it was delicious. My husband had the chorizo pizza and he loved it. Happy hour cocktails were excellent. This restaurant has an outdoor patio and was very careful to comply with social distancing regulations. We will definitely be back.
