Really cool decor. Good service. The host acted like he was stoned. Wandered around aimlessly most of the night. I gad to tell him to make down my OpenTable reservation so that I’d get the points. He seemed bewildered by the request. Fun menu and good time otherwise
Really horrible service. Food presentation was absolutely beautiful but none of our meals were warm. It took 15+ minutes to get our drinks. Food was slow to come out and our dishes didn’t get picked up until the check came. Probably won’t be back.
We had a business dinner at Public School. The servers were great, the food was amazing, the drinks were flowing and we got no work done. But hey! That's ok!
Excellent food, I was very happy and I'm about to go into a food coma
Overall not very impressed with the restaurant. Food was good but nothing special, especially for the area that it is in. The restaurant is very themed, almost to a cheesy point though. It was almost completely empty on a Saturday night when we went. That wasnt very reassuring
Food was fantastic! We just went for burgers, but these burgers impressed us! So delicious! This will be a regular for us now.
We’ve been to Public School 303 several times now and every time the food is just as delicious as the last. The atmosphere is nice and open with lots of natural light, and there are a lot of big tables to accomodate large groups if need be. We’ll definitely keep going back!
The beet and goat cheese salad is literally the best I've ever had. I am obsessed!
My husband and I met another couple here for dinner on a hot summer Thursday night. We chose it because of its proximity to Union Station and the diverse food and drink menu. We sat on the patio - the ambiance could be improved with more umbrellas (ours didn't have one) and maybe some planters. We felt a little hot and exposed, but preferred outside to the noisier interior. We arrived at 6:30pm in time for happy hour which is pretty lack luster - no deals on rotating beer or specialty cocktails. We ordered the flatbread and meatballs for appetizers - both tasty. I had the Thai shrimp salad for dinner which was OK - not a lot of flavor and an odd grouping of veggies such as cherry tomatoes and radicchio which I don't tend to associate with Thai. My husband tried the PB&J burger which he really enjoyed. Overall, the best part of our evening was Kim, our server, who was great (and it was only her 2nd day!). Would I recommend or go back? Probably not, as there are too many other places to try.
The air conditioning was broken so it was very hot which made a little bit difficult to enjoy.
Great food and awesome location. Mediocre service at best.
Horrible service. We waited an hour and a half for our food. Not worth the wait.
Fan of the parent company's Daily Grill brand from countless visits in LA so it was with good anticipation that we came here for a lighter Sunday meal. Extremely quiet at first, with limited service staff too, but no doubt that was an exception. I imagine weekday lunches and happy hour ("recess") are hopping. They deserve to be based on the food. Great presentation, quality and value-for-money makes this a keeper.
Nice casual place and menu. The small plates are fantastic and i would recommend the crispy chicken sandwich
Took a party of 4 fifteen minutes to get drinks and over an hour for our fold. It was a Friday and a big concert was
We were there about 2pm on a Tuesday. The place was 3/4 empty. Took forever to get our food, and the overall service level was terrible. Had to ask twice for sugar for my tea and twice for salt and pepper, forever for the check. There are so many good options in the immediate area, I doubt if we go back.
This place was so much fun! Food was delicious and creative. Get the PB&J burger.... you WON'T be disappointed!
I really liked the PB&J Burger. The chorizo Mac and cheese was delicious also.
We love Public School 303. This was our second time for Sunday Brunch. The endless mimosa's were great. The Shrimp and Grits to die for and the French toast was the best. My husband has also been for lunch and loved the PBJ burger and chicken sandwich. We were just there for Mother's Day Brunch. They gave me a $25 G.C. to come back on another visit.
Love Love Love!!!
Appetizers we're excellent...particularly the Mac and cheese and buffalo cauliflower and meat and cheese board. Most of the entrees were very good. Salmon was a bit dry, but tasty. Vegetarian entree was excellent. Cocktails were delicious and beer selection was very good.
Great service! Loved all the food and drinks we ordered.
A wonderful evening. Good atmosphere/interesting space. School-theme in decor/menu was clever but not distracting. Great variety of food - something for the adventurous palate alongside more standard fare. Desserts were incredible - save room!! Friendly/attentive staff made us feel welcome. Our group ranged from age 6 to 76 and everyone enjoyed the evening.
We had a group of 10 before the Rockies game and were the first one's in the door upon their opening. We had about an hour and a half before we needed to leave for the game. We ordered drinks and an appetizer. The server was attentive and brought our drinks quickly. We never did get the appetizer. We ordered our meal at least 50 minutes before we had to leave and we waited and waited and waited. 45 minutes later, after being told it would only be a couple more minutes a few times, our food finally arrived. The server was very apologetic, and did his best to hurry the kitchen along, but we still had to wolf down our food and scoot to make it to the game on time.
He did take 50% off of our bill to apologize for how long the food took and he was great otherwise.
Not sure the quality of the food though was worth the visit.
I didnt know about this place until we met for a business meeting. It was great! Service was fantastic, good food and nice atmosphere.
I would only recommend this restaurant for drinks, not food. The atmosphere is good, but the food is not good--pretty tasteless--and way overpriced. Service leaves room for improvement.
Great food, cute theme, staff was very good at keeping our drinks full and that we had everything we needed. Will be back!
Easter brunch with the guys
Went for Easter brunch. Good food and fun theme!
Fun atmosphere, great brunch, great bottomless mimosas!
Had the most amazing experience last night at 303 public school. Booked a 20 person reservation for my husband's birthday. Our server was Sara she was attentive, friendly, and extremely helpful with anything I asked of her. I want to thank the kitchen, I walked by and they asked how the food was they were super friendly and I sincerely appreciated them. I personally tried the buffalo cauliflower bits, kale salad, and the skirt steak tacos with poblano carrot slaw. I also had a drink called the crushed velvet, it had blackberries Tito's vodka, lavender and ginger beer it was amazing! A handful of our guest enjoyed this drink and the beers that they had on tap. They have a great rotating beer menu as well. All of the food items I had were delicious and extremely tasty. Our friends had the Margherita pizza, the meat and cheese board, the meatballs, shrimp and grits, the bacon and cheese bites, the ahi tuna, Chicken salads, the fish and chips, the chicken and waffles, the Bangers and mash, and the salmon. Not one person complained about the taste or preparation of their food, everyone was raving how great everything tasted. That never happens, with this many people. I highly suggest trying this restaurant for a date night or a large party. I also brought in a cake, and they were kind enough to cut it up, bring us plates and forks. My husband had such a good time and I cannot thank them enough.
Food was amazing!
Our server was awesome. All staff were great, actually. The PB&J is my favorite.
Overall the food quality was wonderful, portions were huge, and service was amazing. The noise level and ambience was a little off with the music cutting in and out. Otherwise I had a wonderful experience and would go back.
We ate at PS on our way to the DCPA to see Hamilton. We weren’t in the mood for a fancy, expensive dinner so we made our reservation at PS since we hadn’t eaten there yet. The location is just a few blocks from Union Station.
When we arrived the hostess wanted to seat us between two other tables already filled with guests, this despite the fact that the rest of the restaurant was empty. She wasn’t happy with us when we asked to sit at another table, but after saying most of the other tables were reserved, she eventually found another spot. Fortunately, the waitress and other staff were a good contrast to the hostess.
The food was solid, not as flavorful as it could have been, but still good. We liked the decor, and the prices were reasonable. All in all, we would go back if the circumstances were similar.
Great happy hour. Glad it is available for all tables, not just bar. Food was above average, large portions. Great beer and wine selections. Great place for big parties.
The PB&J burger is now my favorite!! WOW!! Great decor, great food!!! My whole table loved everything!
Went to Public School 303 for a Valentines day lunch with my girlfriend. The atmosphere is awesome, with a fun geeky vibe and decor. The food was creative and delicious, and the cocktails were great. After finishing up our lunch we watched some Olympic on TV while we played giant connect four and had another drink. The staff was super friendly and even pretty funny. We were that at 1pm on a Wednesday, so it was very calm and quiet with very little going on. Super easy access from Cherry Creek trail if you want to walk/ride, or Union Station for bus and rail.
We've been for their brunch and happy hour. Both a really good and we'll definitely be back!
We had dinner there on a Saturday because of the great location near to where my daughter works-- very close to Union Station. The table was in an okay location- although it felt way too big for our group. They seemed a bit disorganized all around. We were a bit late being greeted and the person didn't know he was to be our waiter- however, once he arrived, he was really super. The food was interesting and they comped us a few items-- such as the buffalo style cauliflower appetizer which was delicious. The calamari was good too. If you can handle a creamy sauce, the shrimp and grits were good (but way too much cream for this Colorado girl). There's some recognizable items on the menu but with some bizarre additions. There is a kid's menu which is helpful too. Overall, I say, give this place a try. We plan to give it another go at some point as well. It's great that they take reservations.
