Public School - Denver Ratings and Reviews
We love Public School 303. This was our second time for Sunday Brunch. The endless mimosa's were great. The Shrimp and Grits to die for and the French toast was the best. My husband has also been for lunch and loved the PBJ burger and chicken sandwich. We were just there for Mother's Day Brunch. They gave me a $25 G.C. to come back on another visit.
Love Love Love!!!
Appetizers we're excellent...particularly the Mac and cheese and buffalo cauliflower and meat and cheese board. Most of the entrees were very good. Salmon was a bit dry, but tasty. Vegetarian entree was excellent. Cocktails were delicious and beer selection was very good.
A wonderful evening. Good atmosphere/interesting space. School-theme in decor/menu was clever but not distracting. Great variety of food - something for the adventurous palate alongside more standard fare. Desserts were incredible - save room!! Friendly/attentive staff made us feel welcome. Our group ranged from age 6 to 76 and everyone enjoyed the evening.
We had a group of 10 before the Rockies game and were the first one's in the door upon their opening. We had about an hour and a half before we needed to leave for the game. We ordered drinks and an appetizer. The server was attentive and brought our drinks quickly. We never did get the appetizer. We ordered our meal at least 50 minutes before we had to leave and we waited and waited and waited. 45 minutes later, after being told it would only be a couple more minutes a few times, our food finally arrived. The server was very apologetic, and did his best to hurry the kitchen along, but we still had to wolf down our food and scoot to make it to the game on time.
He did take 50% off of our bill to apologize for how long the food took and he was great otherwise.
Not sure the quality of the food though was worth the visit.
Had the most amazing experience last night at 303 public school. Booked a 20 person reservation for my husband's birthday. Our server was Sara she was attentive, friendly, and extremely helpful with anything I asked of her. I want to thank the kitchen, I walked by and they asked how the food was they were super friendly and I sincerely appreciated them. I personally tried the buffalo cauliflower bits, kale salad, and the skirt steak tacos with poblano carrot slaw. I also had a drink called the crushed velvet, it had blackberries Tito's vodka, lavender and ginger beer it was amazing! A handful of our guest enjoyed this drink and the beers that they had on tap. They have a great rotating beer menu as well. All of the food items I had were delicious and extremely tasty. Our friends had the Margherita pizza, the meat and cheese board, the meatballs, shrimp and grits, the bacon and cheese bites, the ahi tuna, Chicken salads, the fish and chips, the chicken and waffles, the Bangers and mash, and the salmon. Not one person complained about the taste or preparation of their food, everyone was raving how great everything tasted. That never happens, with this many people. I highly suggest trying this restaurant for a date night or a large party. I also brought in a cake, and they were kind enough to cut it up, bring us plates and forks. My husband had such a good time and I cannot thank them enough.
We ate at PS on our way to the DCPA to see Hamilton. We weren’t in the mood for a fancy, expensive dinner so we made our reservation at PS since we hadn’t eaten there yet. The location is just a few blocks from Union Station.
When we arrived the hostess wanted to seat us between two other tables already filled with guests, this despite the fact that the rest of the restaurant was empty. She wasn’t happy with us when we asked to sit at another table, but after saying most of the other tables were reserved, she eventually found another spot. Fortunately, the waitress and other staff were a good contrast to the hostess.
The food was solid, not as flavorful as it could have been, but still good. We liked the decor, and the prices were reasonable. All in all, we would go back if the circumstances were similar.
Went to Public School 303 for a Valentines day lunch with my girlfriend. The atmosphere is awesome, with a fun geeky vibe and decor. The food was creative and delicious, and the cocktails were great. After finishing up our lunch we watched some Olympic on TV while we played giant connect four and had another drink. The staff was super friendly and even pretty funny. We were that at 1pm on a Wednesday, so it was very calm and quiet with very little going on. Super easy access from Cherry Creek trail if you want to walk/ride, or Union Station for bus and rail.
We had dinner there on a Saturday because of the great location near to where my daughter works-- very close to Union Station. The table was in an okay location- although it felt way too big for our group. They seemed a bit disorganized all around. We were a bit late being greeted and the person didn't know he was to be our waiter- however, once he arrived, he was really super. The food was interesting and they comped us a few items-- such as the buffalo style cauliflower appetizer which was delicious. The calamari was good too. If you can handle a creamy sauce, the shrimp and grits were good (but way too much cream for this Colorado girl). There's some recognizable items on the menu but with some bizarre additions. There is a kid's menu which is helpful too. Overall, I say, give this place a try. We plan to give it another go at some point as well. It's great that they take reservations.
We were seated near the front door even though the restaurant was not busy when we walked in. It was cold and we received a blast of cold air everytime someone walked into the restaurant. This made for an uncomfortable experience the entire time we were there. Service was friendly but slow. The food was very expensive for just ok food.
Great new find. We had a large group and ordered several appetizers, all were very good. We had the chorizo mac and cheese, calamari, crispy buffalo cauliflower and edamame hummus. We all order cocktails and wine. Dinner was excellent also - recommend Steak Frites and Bison Burger, both big hits with our group.
