   I feel like this place goes a little further downhill with each visit. Ambience is perfect, menu has all the right options, execution is just fair. Drinks are weak, very weak. Everything was overcooked, chicken was very dry and the burger was still good, just way overcooked. Look, you didn't need to ask me how I wanted it cooked, but you did. I went with medium, because it's a burger...it was very well-done. The toppings saved it. Bun, cheese, sauce, bacon(bits) were all very good...as were the truffle fries...everything else we ate was eh.

   Ordered the parmesan truffle fries and they came out cold. Sent them back for hot ones and a second order came out even colder (how is this possible? did anyone even bother to check?) The third batch was hot and delicious and the manager kindly took them off the bill. The variety of food was great and all items were tasty. The tuna bowls were especially popular and loved by our group. The drinks were creative and, as are their names! Sticky menus and tables, but in general, the vibe was fun.

   We had an outdoor table and although it was quite busy that night with large parties, our server was attentive and checked in with us regularly. The food was good and was a great spot to catch up with friends.

    The service was good. We went for brunch and the menu is new so it was a bit exciting to try, but that excitement died when the food came out. It was so bad that almost all the plates went back to the kitchen because it was so bad.

    The PB &J Burger with an impossible burger patty substitute was a hit with one of my guests. The buffalo cauliflower appetizer was great. The crispy chicken sandwich had a good flavor, but the meat was tough and sinewy. We had a great server who provided honest opinions about which dishes they preferred.

    The food was great my date was impressed. We both loved the French Toast. She also enjoyed the Michealada we recommend both for sure. Service was a bit delayed but our waiter communicated with us well.

    It was a much nicer place than I expected. It was very crowded for a Wednesday night, maybe because of their happy hour. Got food from their happy hour menu and was not impressed. Their truffle fries were soggy and seemed undercooked. It was also an extremely small portion so definitely not worth it. The PB&J sliders were interesting but also wasn’t that impress either. Service was slow too. Overall I think I had higher expectations and was disappointed.

    Seems like the staff were a bit overwhelmed for a Tuesday. We were a party of six and the restaurant was full -- surprising on a Tuesday! Our waiter was really a nice guy, but seemed swamped by a full restaurant with limited support. Drinks took 15+ minutes to reach the table, water was only topped off once (after two requests), and one meal arrived to the table about 10-15 minutes after the others. Another meal was delivered and actually was completely wrong -- a chicken sandwich with a side salad was ordered, and a chicken salad delivered. One meal and a drink were comped, which was kind. Simply noticeable that this isn't quite a well-oiled machine quite yet. Will happily consider giving a second shot as everything was delicious and the atmosphere lovely.

    Reservation was at 8, told last call was in 30 min immediately upon being sat and then the chairs around us went on tables. Not the best dining experience tbh.

    The only thing that I would have to say that wasn't outstanding is that there were 4 of us dining and 2 entrees came out about 5-7 minutes after the first two. Other than that, it was fantastic and I would eat there again anytime!

    Our server was very curt with us, a consequence -- I imagine -- of the place being very short staffed. It was a bummer, because the staff is usually super friendly. Something seemed off.

    Different atmosphere from DTLA Public School, more college-kid/sports bar oriented. Hostess first ignored us because we weren't "standing in the right place to check in" then food brought before our drink order. Overall ok experience from essentially a large bar.

    The hostess at the entrance was very rude to me and my table. I’ve never received such horrible customer service — I was truly appalled. Although I really liked the food, i don’t want to come back due to the way I was treated by her. Also, she didn’t know if the restaurant served bottomless mimosas or not even though she works there.

    We were seated outside so there wasn't a lot of noise. Lunch on a weekday was nice and leisurely. Great service and all the food was great. My friend said her Old Fashioned was really good.

    Good place to eat, close to parking at City Hall. Service was very slow as they are understaffed. Food is good with variety in the proposed dishes. UPDATE: After reviewing the charges on my credit card, I just found out that Public School actually changed the amount of tip I left. They also did this to one other member of our party. This is outrageous and un-professional. So it you go to this place, please make sure to check your charges latet on. I am no longer recommending this restaurant and OpenTable should probably not recommend this place either.
