Awful. We came in for a 230 reservation on a Sunday for brunch. By the time the whole party was ready to order, it was 3 o'clock. After we ordered off the brunch menu, our server came back to tell us it was after 3 so we couldn't order brunch. We decided to order off the happy hour menu. As I held the happy hour menu, I pointed to it and said I want the cheddar tots and pig and pineapple flatbread. I asked about the happy hour beers listed on the menu. Was told they actually don't offer happy hour drinks. Odd as it’s listed on your menu but okay, I ordered a regular beer. When we get the check, everything is regular price. The server goes oh well you ordered the regular portions not the happy hour. I said no, I pointed to the happy hour menu when ordering. The manager comes out and says well you received and ate the regular size so I can't change the bill. Excuse me? This is our first time in. How do we know the different portion sizes? I pointed to the happy hour menu when ordering, if you prepared the wrong portion that's on you. Not me. The manager was rude, off standish, and would have rather been anywhere but helping our table.
The food was decent. But the lack of customer service and rudeness of the manager and server will mean we never go back.
The food is great. I just wish the service was more consistent. On each visit an order was wrong. The staff is friendly but I had to keep getting up for salt, water, check payment. I'm rooting for Public School and hopefully the kinks will get worked out
The service and food were great. The interior is decorated like a school. Fun atmosphere.
Fun restaurant with good food, beverages and staff. We played jenga for hours and had a blast. Made me wish I was in public school again.
Cute place. Family friendly. Food was better than expected for a place called Public School. Not cafeteria style. The decor was cute and creative. And it was in a fun location. I’d encourage my friends to try it. I’m certain they’d love it!
Good vibe overall, but the food was so-so. The two “bowls” were lacking in flavor. I wouldn’t suggest those for anyone.
This was my first time at Public School. I went as part of a lunch group for work. There weren't many people in but service but a bit slow. The lunch options were good and the food tasted good. I liked the atmosphere with the Public School theme. You have to pay to valet for parking.
They had a few hiccups. The manager was pleasant and tried to take care of the issues.
Our waiter John is always awesome
& the Manager Hunter is the best
Great diverse menu and excellent food
Enjoyed a delicious and delightful lunch with friend this past Wednesday. Justin was our server and most helpful and informative as we ask about menu items. This was our first visit to Public School 404 and it will definitely NOT be our last. I’ve already recommended your restaurant to others. Keep up the good work and you are sure to enjoy much success at this location.
Great food! I always try something new when I come and I am never disappointed.
Experience was blah and the food was a waste of money. Could've went to Captain D's for what I got and saved $20.
Really enjoyed our brunch! Bloody Mary’s were delicious!
I LOVED the buffalo cauliflour appetizer. SO DELICIOUS. The salad dressing was a little flavorless for the entree, but overall I loved everything. $5 moscow mule too!
Great appetizers and fish entree. Awesome beer menu, although not a lot of local beers the selection of craft beers is good
Service was very slow but the waitress was very nice and the food was really good
Food was great & the staff was very friendly. But service was extremely slow.
It was really nice and fun
Absolutely fantastic. Fish tacos and crunch peanut coleslaw were delectable. And my girls thought the Bison burger was one of the best burgers they had ever eaten. Loved the Brussels sprouts! Having different options for side dishes is a Winner!
Vet nice server. Food was good. One complaint but no biggie.
Nice concept. Decor and ambiance is nice. Went on a date with my love and we had a good time. Parking in West Midtown is trash but they do have valet. Food was bomb... Buffalo Cauliflower was scrumptious. I had the Impossible Burger and it was good. Would recommend and definitely will be back...
Had dinner with my husband and another couple who’d never been before. We all had a great time and enjoyed the very relaxed atmosphere before heading to Actor’s Express for a show.
Highly recommend the buffalo cauliflower appetizer!
Enjoyed everything about this place. PB and J burger was amazing and the drinks are worth the price. Our server was insanely helpful in celebrating my friends bday. Definitely going back.
Awesome spot for a good meal that’s casual & won’t break the bank! Always a winner
I have come to love this restaurant. The food is unique and good. Our server, Canyon, was helpful with decisions and we loved her energy and humor. Will definitely attempt to sit at her table on our next visit.
I’ve been twice—both times the hostess station seemed a bit out of sorts, but the food is excellent and the decor is great! The burger with PB is delicious; on the “recess” menu, the flatbread pizza and fish tacos were only ok, but the tater tots and macaroni were pretty good. Speciality cocktails are excellent.
The food was good. The desserts were amazing. The restaurant was a little loud and it wasn't that crowded.
Very good. Enjoyed it.
went with a family of 4 adults.
Apps, dinner, drinks and one shared results were about $150 which is a little higher than the overall quality of the food would generally deserve.
Our waitress was very knowledgeable and responsive but did not check on us very often.
The Humus was the best app I tried there and suggest it and ask for extra bread as you will need it.
Went there after an Atlanta United game and had a very good meal.
It would have been great but the table directly behind us had 2 obnoxious kids beating the table and plates with sticks and screaming loudly. Both my table and the referenced table were close to the door where u check in so the hostesses clearly heard the over-hyped children. The women with the kids attempted to quite their kids but had no control. I thought a rep could have intervened. No such luck.
They were clearly short staffed on a Saturday night
Average food, terrible service. I give this place one more year—a million better options in the area.
Service was SO TERRIBLE. After appetizers, service disappeared. Ten minutes passed between ordering a drink for entree service and then having to ask the waitress about the drink during entree, another 15 mins for the drink to arrive after all plates were cleared and we ready to leave. Another 5-8 mins for check to arrive, only after asking for the check. We didn’t even want to risk losing another 30 minutes by ordering dessert. Many recent reviews on yelp all describe similar experiences. So frustrating after a very long day.
Great food and drinks served in a warm atmosphere with interesting decor
Love the food and the environment here! Not a huge fan of the high top tables but it’s a small price to pay. Service could be a little faster - we found ourselves getting up from our table to find our waiter as we were trying to have a quick work lunch.
This was a BIRTHDAY meal and it was DELICIOUS!!!
Great atmosphere, great food and great service.
The idea of the restaurant is great. The composition notebook styled menus and the games they have for you to play while you wait for your food brings back a sense of nostalgia. As for the food it was mediocre nothing I’d be dying to have again. The Mac and cheese was bland and the chicken bowl was okay.
