About Public House - Chattanooga
Several years ago, I decided that my future in the restaurant business would most likely not remain in the realm of fine dining and gourmands, but would rather lean towards the style of restaurant that I found myself frequenting most often - places that provided consistency and quality at a price that was fair for the quality of the food and experience. Public House plays to the comforts of good, solid food, while applying the principles of premium food products to a more casual setting. You will find all the fish is delivered from Foley’s in Boston, high quality steaks and a rotating selection of vegetable sides that are true to the region and season. You’ll also find a really good hamburger and fish sandwich, along with fun snacks and small plates that pair well with cocktails, beer and wine.

Public House - Chattanooga Ratings and Reviews
My husband and I had a fantastic experience at Public House! David was an excellent waiter; very knowledgeable and personable. We got the trout and the pot roast. The food was so fresh and delicious. Southern comfort food with a modern twist. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Chattanooga.
My mom, my grandma, my sister and I were wanting a nice dinner before seeing a show at the Tivoli theater. Public House definitely delivered! It’s a beautiful restaurant with delicious, fresh made food. The fried chicken and pot roast were divine. We had excellent service as well. I will definitely be back.
There were six people in our party. We had early dinner reservations on a Saturday night and were seated promptly. Each person ordered something different. Notable entrees - crab cakes, salmon and shrimp & grits. The key lime pie was tasty and the Public Knowledge signature drink was good, too. Overall a very good experience. I would recommend this establishment.
We have been there many times and always love the food, the waiters we get,and our time there. This was a birthday gathering and they handed us a sweet card when we got there.
We didn't stay for dessert but have had their Carrot Cake in the past and love it.
Great food and great atmosphere. The service was very good. It was busy when we went for lunch so the server was a little slow to get around to us a couple of times. My wife enjoyed lunch so much we cut our dinner short at another restaurant to come back here for drinks and dessert. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Chattanooga.
Very healthy offerings of local fare foods. Andrea was our server and she was very attentive and informative of menu items. Made several recommendations of pairings for wine. List was not that extensive but they do several mixed drink options that were very interesting.
We rec'd a gift certificate as an anniversary gift. We finally made the time to go there for dinner. It exceeded ALL expectations. Our reservation time was spot on, the staff fabulous ad the food so tasty. Cannot wait to return and bring out of town guests. If you haven't gone to The Public House, make your reservations (it was packed on the Saturday night we went). BRAVO!
