Several years ago, I decided that my future in the restaurant business would most likely not remain in the realm of fine dining and gourmands, but would rather lean towards the style of restaurant that I found myself frequenting most often - places that provided consistency and quality at a price that was fair for the quality of the food and experience. Public House plays to the comforts of good, solid food, while applying the principles of premium food products to a more casual setting. You will find all the fish is delivered from Foley’s in Boston, high quality steaks and a rotating selection of vegetable sides that are true to the region and season. You’ll also find a really good hamburger and fish sandwich, along with fun snacks and small plates that pair well with cocktails, beer and wine.

                                                                                                    Our waiter was incredibly kind, and the food was absolutely stellar— we had the steak and it was easily a 10/10. I’ll definitely be back, but next time on a less busy night. The space is pretty small, and when it started raining, there wasn’t a great plan for those seated outside on the balcony. Everyone was moved inside, which made it very cramped and noticeably loud. Unfortunately, it also smelled a bit like wet dog after the rain. The ambiance took a hit for me because of that, but I take some responsibility for going on a packed Friday night. Looking forward to returning when things are a little calmer!

                                                                                                    We arrived an hour early and were still given the opportunity to have a seat in the bar area which was not crowded and allowed the full menu. Had a newborn with us and had a wonderful dinner and amazing service. One of our favorite places to eat in Chattanooga!

                                                                                                    The staff was friendly and the waiter was extremely helpful with his knowledge of the menu and ingredients. He helped us make a great decision from the drink to the appetizer to even the main course. The food was very good. Our first visit and we will be back for sure.

                                                                                                    Our waiter Nicholas was attentive & knowledgeable about the menu and the distinct flavors of the dishes we inquired about! We loved the shrimp & Grits, the asparagus cream soup was outstanding as well as the braised beef pot roast! Public House did not disappoint us in any way! In addition they gave us an anniversary gift of a free dessert to take home🥰
