   Overall, our experience at Public House was very good. The location is convenient to parking and we were seated quickly when we arrived. The ambience in the restaurant is nice and the service was excellent. My pork tenderloin was initially under cooked, but this issue was resolved quickly by our server and the manager checked on us as well to make sure everything was satisfactory. I would definitely give them another try if we are back in town.

   We were seated promptly, however our server took 10 minutes to greet us. A table seated next to us were greeted and had drinks before we did. We ordered appetizers and I was very clear we wanted them first, however our entrees arrived 5 minutes after. My wedge salad was good and basic. My fried chicken was barely warm and very dry. The Mac&Cheese was warm, not hot. The biscuit served was very soggy. The food is very overrated, seems to be all premade/ precooked sitting under heat warmers. Our waiter wore black sneakers that were literally falling apart with huge holes in them. What kind of management would allow that? I could not recommend this establishment.

   It is located in a beautiful location, and the outside/inside locations are both amazing. The staff was super nice and helpful. The plates themselves looked and tasted great! I also appreciate that they had mocktails for the ones who don't drink but still want to have a fruity little drink. It did feel like the staff were running a little slow, but perhaps inside was super busy so it is very understandable. But besides that it was a good time. I ordered the shrimps and grits, and my partner got the braised pot roast. The pot roast was braised perfectly and fell apart beautifully. The shrimps and grits were also awesome!

   We were there for the Mother's Day Brunch, so it was more crowded and noisier than usual, but the service was outstanding, as it always is and the food was delicious and a great value.

    Server wasn’t attentive and the food was just ok. It took a long time to get our salads out. No one offered salads or drinks. Not worth the money to me.

    My husband & I have been bringing our moms to Mothers Day brunch since you 1st held it (minus 2020/COVID). It was wonderful as usual. One minor thing…could the fresh coconut be placed in a bowl next to the fresh fruit? Although it’s a nice touch, I wouldn’t touch the fruit b/c of my strong dislike of coconut. Not a huge deal, just a suggestion. Thank all of you, Jill Langston

    We went to their Mothers Day brunch and it was amazing. The fried chicken was some of the best in town. There was a wide assortment of desserts to finish off a great meal. Only wish they did this meal more often.

    The experience was excellent but not exceptional. The scrambled eggs were over cooked and bland, and the biscuits were cold and hard. But the bacon was scrumptious and the sausage gravy very good. The fresh fruit and deviled eggs were outstanding. So were all of the luncheon items: fried chicken, pasta shells (decadent!), green beans and salad! Wine was delicious but a bit pricey. Prime rib was delicious and melt-in-mouth tender. Multiple desserts were all yummy. Ambiance a bit bland, but I liked the buffet setting and our waitress was a gem. A lovely mid-day brunch for my wife on Mother’s Day. 4+ out of 5

    Very good food! Shrimp and grits among the best I've had. Son thought potroast was delicious. Husband's pub burger and fries were outstanding. Ordered the creme Brulee- may have been better than one I make from scratch. Overall very good dinner out. Service was extremely good. Would eat there next time in Chattanooga for sure.

    My daughter and I had dinner on May 13. Our server was so pleasant and suggested dishes. I had the pork and my daughter had pot roast. Both were delicious and cooked perfectly, moist and not dry. We had the scrumptious deviled eggs as an appetizer and strawberry shortcake for dessert. Both were wonderful. We both would have enjoyed some strawberry glaze or sauce to moisten the strawberry shortcake. The biscuit and strawberries were delicious but needed some yummy liquid added!     Cocktails, appetizers and main courses were amazing. Perfect service. A bit noisy inside but a wonderful dining experience overall. Brought out-of-town guests who truly enjoyed the elevated southern food offerings. Skipped dessert this time, but really enjoyed them on previous visits. Thanks, Publix House, for another amazing meal with thoughtful, polite and prompt service.

    We picked this restaurant for our family dinner (grandparents, parents and 2 children ages 3 and 5) as it was close to our hotel. It was a great choice. Our server was attentive, helpful and paid close attention to the children’s hunger levels and needs. The food was well prepared and flavorful.

    Me and my significant other stopped by for lunch and it happened to be my birthday and we had one of the best meals we have had in a long time. Literally everything was delicious and on top of that the staff went above and beyond welcoming us and wishing a happy birthday. We even got a custom birthday card and a free dessert from them before we left. Would recommend to anyone !

    We ate outside for the first time. It was enjoyable except for loud traffic but that could not be helped. Will always sit inside from now on. Our waitress was amazing. She was very helpful in ordering. She was also very attentive and knowledgeable. The pimento cheese appetizer is to die for. Always get this. The main courses were also exceptional. The key lime pie for dessert was good . Highly recommend this restaurant.

    He told me it was the best steak he’d ever had, and HE WAS RIGHT!!!! We stayed the night at the Chattanoogan Hotel, which was perfect, on our way back to Waycross, GA 🍑 THANKS PUBLIC HOUSE for the BEST STEAK EVER!!!

    Everything about the Public House is great. Ordered the pimento cheese and fried pickles as the appetizer and it was the best I’ve ever had. Shrimp and grits were delicious and honestly no need for the sausage since the shrimp and grits are flavorful enough but that’s just my opinion. Crème brûlée was sublime. Everything was delicious!     We sat on the patio and had a wonderful dining experience. The manager spoke with us a few times, the host was awesome and our server made sure we taken care of. Definitely a place we will return to when we are back in Chattanooga.

    The Oak Room at the Public House was a wonderful location for an after-wedding get together. The staff was outstanding and the food and drinks were great. I highly recommend the Public House for a date night, a special occasion or dinner with friends.

    Overall we had a great meal but the service could have been better. The hostess:front of house was wonderful but our server was not friendly, we not knowledgeable about the menu and came off as slightly rude. Luckily the woman who seated us was also on hand in the dining room to assist during dinner and she made up for the lack of attention by our server. The sea scallop special was fantastic but the special dessert was just odd - a strange texture and flavor. The wine list could also be improved.

    This was amazing for the price and the service was outstanding. The small plates were just out of the world. Try the scallops and onion puree. You will not be sorry. The beets with goat cheese, best beets I have ever tasted.
