Several years ago, I decided that my future in the restaurant business would most likely not remain in the realm of fine dining and gourmands, but would rather lean towards the style of restaurant that I found myself frequenting most often - places that provided consistency and quality at a price that was fair for the quality of the food and experience. Public House plays to the comforts of good, solid food, while applying the principles of premium food products to a more casual setting. You will find all the fish is delivered from Foley’s in Boston, high quality steaks and a rotating selection of vegetable sides that are true to the region and season. You’ll also find a really good hamburger and fish sandwich, along with fun snacks and small plates that pair well with cocktails, beer and wine.

    Loved our first visit here. Cheese/Meat board had delicious choices. Loved our drinks and dinner. I had the fried chicken and it was moist and crispy. We will be back!

    Great service, food and drinks for my sons 21st birthday celebration. Josh and another guy whose name I didn’t get were very attentive. We will definitely have dinner here again.

    Always enjoy the food here. My wife had the pot roast which was tender and I had the salmon which was very good. Highly recommend!!

    Public House is a favorite among locals. The menu offers something for everyone. Small appetites or really hungry. They always have fresh veggies. Be sure to make a reservation with open table because it is a very popular place.

    Food and service never seem to disappoint. I made a last minute reservation for 7 and we got our own private room. Overall a great dining experience. Cocktails are made well from the bar

    Food was excellent and the table we were given for my Brother's 81st Birthday was perfect for conversation and visiting among the 6 of us. Leo was very attentive.....a great place to celebrate for sure!!!!!

    We reserved the Oak Room and it was great for what we needed. However, it would go a long way if they put up a curtain and plants in the window cutouts for added privacy. An inexpensive addition that would go a long way! The place, was clean. Staff very accommodating and patient with our group! Definitely recommend!

    Menu has a lot of variety from sandwiches to pasta to seafood. Tons of sides too. We didn’t partake of the cheese board but saw one go out and it looked great. None of our entrees particularly dazzled us but all were good enough for our hungry group! Prices are reasonable for the setting. Nice vibe.

    We dined here for my brothers birthday lunch and we were pleasantly surprised to find a card on our table for him, with 10% off our next visit. That’s a very nice touch that was appreciated. Our waiter was efficient, friendly and patient. There were a nice variety of choices on the menu, all reasonably priced and very flavorful. Pork belly was a good starter along with fried green tomatoes. Pot roast was enjoyed by one of our group, flounder was good, if just slightly over cooked and I enjoyed fried chicken livers with an interesting beets with goat cheese side, that was very flavorful. My daughter enjoyed fried chicken and a cabbage and pork belly side. Overall was impressed with food and waitstaff and the extra touches.

    This was an amazing time! The service was amazing and super kind. They gave us a free dessert for a special occasion 🙂. We were seated on couches that were super comfortable. The food was amazing as well! Definitely a good price. For example the meat and cheese platter we thought just came with that but it also came with bread, jam, grapes, and pecans. My only complaint is that my steak was well done when I ordered medium well, but the amazing flavor of the steak and the sauce made up for it. Definitely will come back!

    Great dinner for two! We had a reservation, which I recommend as this place is busy! We enjoyed 2 cocktails which were daily specials - a passionfruit margarita and a bourbon, both outstanding! Our server was great, just the right amount of attention. We had the pimento cheese with sour dough appetizer and it came with fried pickles. It was fresh and delicious. Our main courses were the shrimp and grits (flavors and texture were perfect), and the grilled salmon with potatoes. My husband asked for the salmon blackened, and they were happy to oblige. We also shared a side of garlic green beans, which were cooked just right. I highly recommend the Public House!

    The Public House never disappoints no matter what meal is chosen. We had the swordfish with lemon risotto and it was delicious! The seasonal sangria was a nice touch as well. The service was great overall.
