Several years ago, I decided that my future in the restaurant business would most likely not remain in the realm of fine dining and gourmands, but would rather lean towards the style of restaurant that I found myself frequenting most often - places that provided consistency and quality at a price that was fair for the quality of the food and experience. Public House plays to the comforts of good, solid food, while applying the principles of premium food products to a more casual setting. You will find all the fish is delivered from Foley’s in Boston, high quality steaks and a rotating selection of vegetable sides that are true to the region and season. You’ll also find a really good hamburger and fish sandwich, along with fun snacks and small plates that pair well with cocktails, beer and wine.

Always predictably excellent food and service. I can take any friend or client there and be assured of a wonderful experience. Nick is the best waiter in Chattanooga so ask for his section.

My wife and I dined here while visiting Chattanooga and were very impressed with the entire experience. Great friendly, professional service, wonderful drinks and the food was amazing.

Food was great but the service was unmatched. Auggie, Leo and the rest of the staff were beyond friendly and helpful. The food could’ve been awful and I would still go back just because of the service

Everything we had was very good and well balanced. We sat outside and had very good service from Leo. He was prompt, professional and responsive.

Service is very good, everyone worked there were very nice and helpful. The lounge area is very nice, but the outdoor seating were very noisy with the street traffic. The cocktails were great. Unfortunately food was somewhat disappointing. The Steak and Fries were cooked properly but nothing special. The Shrimp and Grits was good. The Fried Chicken was bit disappointing, while the batter was light and crispy, but the chicken wasn’t properly seasoned. The beignet was total disaster, there were not puffy and soft, were flat and chewy. Not sure if will recommend this place and not sure got it get such good ratings.

Delightful dinner spot with fabulous food. We had the steak and fries and the meal was perfectly prepared. Great service and friendly, engaging server who gave us suggestions for local places to visit.
