Pubblico Italian Eatery
Fresh seafood with an Italian flair is hard to find in the valley. We're sorry we waited so long to try Pubblico. Looking forward to our next visit to try two more of their offerrings.
Dinner here was delicious. It was our anniversary so we decided to have dessert. We ordered a flourless chocolate torte, I ate many bites and thought something was odd. There was something grainy in the chocolate. We called our waiter over and asked what it was, IT WAS WALNUTS! Finely chopped nuts! I am allergic to nuts. No mention of nuts in the chocolate torte on the menu! Evening our ruined, had to rush home and take my medicine. A night of hives and a bad bellyache because they forgot to list nuts in the dessert. Really not acceptable. Lucky for them my nut allergy does not cause anaphylactic shock. People have Nut Allergies and the consequences can be tragic for most people. They did the right thing and comped our meal. Highly doubt we will ever eat there again, which is too bad because we have always enjoyed our meals at Pubblico.
Shared a recent business lunch with a colleague, who also bemoans the scarcity of good Italian food in Phoenix. We were both impressed with Pubblico. Everything--the cream of cauliflower soup, the salad and the pepperoni pizza were excellent. As a native New Yorker, I do not easily give stars to pizzas in Phoenix. But this was one of the best personal pepperoni pizzas I have had here in Phoenix. The wait staff is very attentive and helpful. The prices are high, but the quality is excellent.
It is challenging to find. Park in the back lot behind the buildings; easier to find it from the back.
Past experiences with dinner and/or happy hour food, service, and overall experience was good. Not this time however. Portions smaller, not as flavorful. Server never returned to table to ask if everything was okay. Had to flag someone down to ask for grated cheese when 5 out of 6 guests ordered pasta dishes. Noise level was very annoying-- 8+ adults brought 8 small children, sat the children down at a completely separate table from the adults and non-supervised they were extremely noisy. It impacted our dinner experience. I would recommend the eatery to a friend, but if experience is re-lived again, would not.
I came for the Lamb Chops which were highly rated. They weren’t available and the waiter having been there two years never knew they were on the menu. Odd. I settled for the Bronzini which was superb.
So excited to have this location in our neighborhood! Food is as good as the original. Service friendly but a bit spotty. Host, waiter, expeditor all one person the day we went to lunch. Food came out a bit slow. Plates not cleared very timely. Food though was very good, so we will definitely give it another shot. Nice outdoor patio!
Pubblico was delicious and had a great selection! We were so pleased with our appetizer and entrees and were too full for dessert unfortunately. Great cocktail list, wine list and a nice understated atmosphere. Looking forward to the next meal there!
This was my third time eating at Pubblico. Thought the portion sizes for happy hour items were greatly reduced. My friend and I each had the octopus and shared the caprese bruschetta. Plus we ordered small side salads. Our husbands each had small pizzas and we ordered 3 glasses of wine and one iced tea. We actually were shocked to see the size of the octopus and the side salads were unremarkable. We brought friends to try this restaurant but actually left disappointed. Will give it another try but sure hope it improves.
We had a delicious dinner there on Sunday evening. Our server was attentive and helpful and the food was
outstanding. I had the linguine with clams and could not believe the amount of clams given. The pasta was incredible. All 3 of us loved our appetizers and meals.
It is the first time in recent memory, at any restaurant, that everything was excellent..the wine, appetizer, main course, and dessert. We will be returning.
A wonderful Italian option in the 7th street corridor to dine. Excellent friendly service, delecious entrees and the make for cocktails a an exceptional evening.
Caprese salad was delicious! Meatballs were dry. Mushroom/sausage pasta was ok. Overall it’s ok....my glass of Chianti was exceptional!
grrreat neighborhood find, food and food server, Bernardo!!!
Took some coworkers that had never been to the restaurant for dinner this evening and they loved it. Great experience as always.
We were the only ones there for lunch.
This place should be FULL every Sunday afternoon! Happy hour all day on drinks and small plates. Excellent food, interesting wines-by-the-glass, extraordinary service by Bernardo. Try the seafood pizza. This secret must get out!
Sooo good going back again
Went for NYE dinner-we were seated inside, but right by the patio with the door open. I froze the whole time. No other tables available. I got the Chicken Fettucine that was fine, my husband didn't like his rigatoni dish. Might try again if we are nearby.
Amazing dinner! Amazing service!
Our first trip to Phoenix. Just randomly picked thru reviews on internet. Our food was so delicious! Everyone ordered something different and each was spectacular. Our waiter was so much fun and his recommendations of food and wine were perfect. Highly recommend!!!
Food was good, but not exceptional by any means. Nice atmosphere
Always a great dining experience. The staff are very friendly and food is very good. One of my favorite neighborhood spots.
Early Christmas dinner with family
Never been before. Our server, Nok, was so pleasant, efficient, and just made us smile. The staff along with Nok, made usfeel welcome. The food was outstandingly delicious. Had the cioppino which included a one pound lobster and was well worth the $8.00 split charge. Definitely will return and will highly recommend the restaurant to our family and friends.
I have eaten here about 4-5 times and it measures up each and every time. I’ve recommended this to friend’s & neighbors, all of whom have come away impressed.
Excellent service and an excellent meal. The patio was awesome. Will definitely be back!
My new favourite Italian restaurant. Friendly servers. Great happy hour (Sunday’s too). We drive out of our way to eat here it is so good!
Great food and service! Will be back again.
Excellent service. Food is amazing
Great food and service. We will be back!
Sampled a bit of everything. Great for sharing. Wow, the pasta was amazing. Great service. Really cool spot. Next time I’ll be trying the ‘Za.
Food was on point, as always. Perhaps a bit expensive. One of the best old fashioned cocktails in town. Last but not least, the service was amazing. Stephanie was very attentive but not overbearing.
Will look forward to returning for dinner. Our lunch was delicious.
Meeting a friend hadn’t seen in a long time.
This was my first time here and food was so good. The service was great too. I’d definitely come back here.
We spent $160. The antipasto board was good, but the shrimp was over cooked with the fettuccini. The meatballs were dry and too salty to eat. The server brought us 2 glass mugs that were literally half full. We actually chuckled at it, but after confronting the Server, we were correct in our assumption.. she had given us the last of the pot while making another. It was my husband's birthday. Pretty disappointed.
Friendly service, delightful decor and yummy pasta dishes!
Fantastic food, great ambience, excellent service.
