Pubbelly Noodle Bar Ratings and Reviews
Pubbelly Noodle Bar and Pubbelly Sushi are right next door to each other and you can order off both menus. The Krab roll with warm butter dipping sauce is outrageously delicious. We also had the pork shoulder, which was quite good, a bit raw for me but fine for my wife. When I sent pack a portion of the dish to cook a little more, they we very helpful and it was returned exactly the way I asked. I love that kind of service. All the dishes were yummy, well prepared and thoughtfully and artistically seasoned. We will return.
This was a horrible experience. I was dropping my son off at Miami International and looking for a place to eat dinner with my wife. I looked on Zagat, Yelp, Google, etc... and this place looked good. I made a reservation with OpenTable. Got a confirmation from OpenTable. Drove 1 hour to South Beach. Paid $10 for parking. Waited by the yachts, starving. When I arrived 5 minutes before the reservation, the place still looked closed. In fact it was never open. I was so hungry and wasted time and money coming to this restaurant with a confirmed reservation. I will never return. I will never use OpenTable again. How irresponsible to place reservation openings on OpenTable when the restaurant isn't even open!
I came here and brought a group of 8 people because it was highly recommended but drinks were watered-down and requests for improvement were ignored. Food took a long time to be served and arrived somewhat cold. Dishes were bland across the board and on top of that pricey. Not a good value and it pains me because I really wanted to like this place. The gentleman that appeared to be the manager was overwhelmed and not helpful. He kept saying everyone came in at the same time. Yes, it is Noon on a Sunday, lunch time- how can this be overwhelming to a restaurant in Miami beach that is half empty??
Fourth time here and the first 3 times the place was Outstanding. This last time we brought a friend from out of town thinking this place would not disappoint. For some reason the food just was not on point. The waiter was not bad but compared to previous times the service was lacking. For some reason this time around the restaurant just wasn't good. We would definitely go back hopefully with a better result.
This was one of the most amazing meals I've ever eaten start to finish. You don't normally get to eat veal brains and are very excited about it. Every element on the plate of which there were usually many worked together seamlessly and produced a unique and rich taste from beginning to end of the meal. Service was spot on- attentive and knowledgeable but casual. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
We had their Miami Spice menu, what a great deal and some of the most delicious food. The Veal brains you have to try don't think about what they are, just eat them and enjoy what they have done. There are so many choices on the menu you can't go wrong. Make sure to have the CocoLoco for desert you won't disappointed.
Sorry but the online menu was very misleading and we had no idea that the restaurant and noodle bar were two separate establishments. We had sushi lovers and non sushi lovers and had to try to cater to both. Consequently one half of our party was unhappy with food options.
Service was appallingly slow although our server tried very hard to provide helpful service she was not very familiar with the menu and had difficulty describing the dishes; it probably didn't help that her English was not fluent. Asked for a bottle of wine but a list of bottle options wasn't available.
The biggest downside and shocker was the price - admittedly we were a party of 6 but two were kids and neither the food nor the quantity or quality justified a bill of nearly $500. Disappointing to say the least
I know Pubbellyt gets very good reviews, so maybe our experience was unique. My family's dinner here was one of the worst in recent memory. We arrived on a Tuesday night around 9:00 pm. It was our first night of vacation and we were excited to start with a great evening out. We were seated immediately but it took our waiter 15 minutes to acknowledge us and longer to get drinks on the table. He spent very little time with us and it felt like we were inconveniencing him when we needed something. When I asked, "what's good" he responded with, "a lot of things are good." Only after I prodded him did he explain a few items on the menu hurriedly. In all service was poor, things moved slowly, items we ordered were forgotten or not delivered and the food we received was mediocre at best. I hope your experience is better than ours. Good luck!
Benjamin, Maxi and Johanna were tremendous, always welcoming and happy. i had a quick burger at the bar with a beer as i had just gotten off a long flight from Europe. Happy to be home and enjoy a VERY comforting Le Royale with cheese, (yes a Pulp Fiction reference) with skinny fries.
Super tasty, satisfying burger with skinny fries.
I know they wont have these on the menu forever, so enjoy while they are in Miami.
This review is only for the noodles. I cannot speak to the sushi or burgers they had as we did not order that. My husband and I were looking for some noodles and excited when we found the noodle bar. For a place called itself noodle bar I expect more noodle options instead there were like only 4/5 noodle options. I order the pubbelly Ramen which the pork was really good but the ramen and the base left a lot to be desire. The soup base was extremely salty and the ramen was not that good. My husband had the veal udon which had very little veal. It was little veal and some paste to the udon. We have definitely had better ramen and udon at a fraction of what we paid for there. Overall I was not impressed with the noodle bar.
I love these guys, all the Pub Belly's. The ramen was very tasty. Sushi was fresh and a little different to make it interesting but still super delicious. My husband ate more of the meaty stuff and raved about it. My toddlers loved the chicken skewers. Great service, as usual.
We were referred by a friend (visiting from out of town) who said we "HAD" to have dinner before we left Miami because it was so good. So perhaps our expectations were too high, buuuut it was just okay. The service was pretty terrible. We were the only table outside and it was as if we didn't exist. Our waiter was very cordial and pleasant but just seemed to sort of forget about us. Also, the food was just mediocre. I'll give it to them that it's a creative menu, but the Baja Boc was literally tasteless. However, the filet was outstanding as was the soft shell crab boc. The pork belly was okay and the dumplings had 0 taste. I was just pretty disappointed overall. It seemed like they had recently combined their two restaurants and were maybe trying to get it all sorted out. Regardless, I'm not sure i can in good conscience recommend anyone go spend the money on mediocre food and a poor service experience - that was $150 not well spent tonight.
