Psycho Suzi's Motor Lounge is a Waterfront Paradise and the premier tiki bar of Minneapolis. Located on the banks of the mighty Mississippi, Suzi provides a Polynesian escape on two floors with the largest waterfront tropical patio in Minneapolis. Seating for 750 tikiphiles, with 4 bars, two patios, thatching, tiki, tapa, and kitschy retro decor, this massive tropical wonderland is a feast and a fantasy. Year round gas fire torches light up the waterfront and backyard terrace with the sounds of exotica and yacht rock. Our tiki drinks are rum soaked with a vast variety of rums, house made syrups, specialty juice blends, infused liquors and secret spices. Our food is retro American classics with minor Asian influences featuring pupus, pizzas, and burgers.
Transport yourself to another world and let us mend your broken dreams.
This is definitely a Minneapolis treasure. Although, I feel like the brunch menu you use a couple more options. And the staff don’t spend a ton of time at the table which is both a blessing and a curse. The drinks are spot on, and the food tastes great. The atmosphere is something else too. I felt like I was in a 70s bar, and it’s fantastic.
This is a great place to be any night of the week. Energy is high, if you're looking for an intimate setting this isn't the place. If you're looking to have a great time with a couple of your friends or a huge group, this is your place. I highly recommend the tator tots. Drinks are amazing and the prices are worth it. Service is awesome. Our poor waiter was super busy and apologized for not getting to us. That was awesome. A sincere apology goes a long way.
Fun place to eat! Loved their pizza!
Great food! Pizza is amazing and cheese curds out of this world.
Good food, good service. Kind of loud, but pretty fun place. Really neat interior decor
Very pleased with my visit food was good friendly service
Our server was amazing. Super friendly and bubbly personality. The food was good but over priced. I was charged extra for mayo on my burger. Also their drink system changed to buying either just the drink or the drink and the mug. So if you want to have your drink in the cool mugs you have to buy them now.
Went to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Waiter was super awesome, made great food recommendations and checked with the chef to make sure I got gluten free ingredients. We'll be back Suzy!
Always love eating here! Their pizzas are very good and their drinks are even better! You get what you pay for if you think a $13 drink is expensive it’s definitely worth it (in my opinion). It is almost always busy there which is expected so don’t show up expecting a nice quiet dinner (especially on a weekend 😂). Overall very fun, great location restaurant!
Server messed up a few of our orders but she was very helpful in fixing her mistake and offered a very upbeat, positive attitude. Food was fairly lackluster and didn’t have much variety on the limited menu. Drinks are kitschy, generic, overpriced tiki drinks that are heavily sweetened. An okay place to go for bigger groups, (nothing like the old Psycho Suzy’s) but nothing special. Just all around very “meh”.
Well the food was okay. One of the servers was kind of snotty. I only saw him once. I think he was a bartender. The host wes real nice and accommodating. Our waitress was real nice too. My only issue was I wanted to put the tables together so we can all talk. I had to hop the 3 tables a few times. Of course the ambience was awesome. I have no real problem with it. You guys do a great job!
My favorite pizza joint! Service and food here never disappoint!
Creative and fun place. It was a little confusing where to find the host and if I could just sit at a table. Disappointed that the happy hour specials are only for 1 area. Overall, super cool place.
Too noisy
Party next to us overran our space to have conversation
Left early
Great brunch!
Just a fantastic place. I'd normally reserve this location for a summer get together, but the indoor tiki vibe took the chill off of a dreary MN weekend. Personable and prompt service, delicious food. And the carpeting. I mean. The carpeting speaks for itself.
Very underwhelming. We went as a family for lunch and drinks. The drinks had so much ice and barely anything else and were not cheap. They gave us the wrong menu and the menu we could order from was very small not a lot of options. They were also out of a beer we ordered and really didn’t have many to choose from.
Pizza was great and the drinks were amazing! We were able to have a conversation even with a large group next to us! I will for sure come back and summer will be even better!
We had a nice time with our group. Happy hour was nice to start out. Our only complaint was that is was freezing out and we couldn't hang on the patio. Lol. Great atmosphere and the food was good.
I've been going to Psycho Suzie's for years. Recently they've undergone a menu change and they no longer serve cocktails in tiki glasses unless you buy the glass (for an extra $8ish). Are you kidding me!? In addition to the decor, the fun tiki glasses were part of the kitchy draw of going to this establishment. Plus, the drinks weren't as strong as I remember. My group of friends and I agree it's time to re-think our Tiki Tuesday ritual.
We came here before shopping for bridesmaid dresses. Great food and drinks, friendly staff, and clean, inviting atmosphere.
Not the place to go for watching a game - TVs are small and blocked by light fixtures I n bar and staff wouldn’t turn off restaurant music for Vikes even tho many people in bar area where there to watch the game. Considering I called in advance and told why we were coming, should have been advised of set up so we could have gone elsewhere. Which we did as soon as we could. Other than that our waitress was non-existent and food came out cold. Recommend for night/party/drinks and summer deck only.
Our group had a really nice time. The only bad thing was we were seated right in front of the handicap bathrooms and everyone kept using them. It’s hard to eat when you continuously see the toilet. I ended up taking my food home.
Unfortunately, what had been an otherwise very pleasant experience was completely ruined by a very rude hostess on our departure.
We had a large group and the waitresses were amazing!!
This restaurant is always so much fun! From their awesome and crazy drink menu to their tasty pizza and sandwiches, you’ll always find something good! I also appreciate the year round deck that’s open. In regards to staff I’ve always had solid servers. Truly unique place to stop for drinks and grub.
Holiday gathering
The food was awful. Crab dip was imitation crab and hardly any to speak of. The chips were not evenly fried and cold by the time they got to our table.
Pizza was undercooked.
Incredibly noisy. Our table for two was shoved in between two big groups. Couldn’t have a conversation.
At least the drinks were good.
Great food. Excellent service. I have an allergy to sesame and our server went out of her way to accomodate me. Unfortunately, the dipping sauce they brought me did have some sesame oil in it and, by the time I realized it, it was too late. I had the worst allergic reaction of my life and couldn't breathe. We were as careful as we could be but, hey, these things happen. We still had a great time. The food was delicious, we had the crab dip, smokies wrapped in bacon, pizzas, and eggrolls. All were amazing. Our server was attentive and fun and just so wonderful. Love the decor, too. Can't wait to go back.
Fun atmosphere good food and the drinks were fun and strong. Would love to go back when it’s warm to dine on the patio.
Always love the creative menu and great atmosphere here!!
Great location for our party of 6! The restaurant even had excellent gluten free options. We found the food a little pricey, but overall fun atmosphere.
Fun unique place. All of the people working there were friendly and helpful. Our wait staff was fun and her recommendations on the chili were spot on. Definitely like to come there in the summer.
Always a fun ambiance. Food is always so-so. We had the deep dish pizza and it was fine but nothing outstanding. They don't currently have a dessert menu which was unfortunate. Service was great at the beginning but then there was a long gap where we didnt see our waitress.
The pizza I had was over done, the crust was like eating cardboard, the Halloween party was lame, didn't have any fun, it was like being at a gay bar, you don't put, Dicks and Chick for the restrooms, without thinking it's a gay bar.
First time there and was highly impressed. It’s a fun place. I’ll bet it’s even more fun in the evenings:)
Our server could have been more attentive but other servers made up for it.
Great food and fun atmosphere! They did a good job with you large party.
We were in a private room for my birthday party, and we could not have had a better time! The service was outstanding.
It’s a fun place! Little on the noisy side if you are looking for a quiet place, this ain’t that place. Food was good!
